I found another I'd forgotten about. Lee Fedora. He actually embarrassed Coach Thompson and WOS on his way to his first of 2 state titles in Navasota (elite).. and then went to A&M Consolidated for 6 years and couldn't get past the first couple rounds. What the heck?? That doesn't make sense... He's "elite" so he should've at least gotten back to Austin, right? I don't understand you're exact way of thinking.

  4. Israel has figured out the best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is lots of good guys with guns. Main difference is most know how to handle them because of their mandatory military service.

So.. elite coaches only exist in football? Got it. Since that the case... When is Tom Westerberg going to win another one? He's elite according to your thinking. When is Jeff Kasowski going to win another one? He won 3 in a row at Bremond.. and hasn't been close since 2016. What happened with Rick Rhoades? He won 3 at Cameron Yoe and didn't come close for the next 7 seasons. What happened with Rusty Nail? He won his second title at Mart in 2010.. then didn't win another for 8 years. Including not even getting close at 3 years in Madisonville. Explain to me how these elite coaches became worse coaches... By the way.. these are just 3 recent examples. I'm sure there are tons more.

  7. So... they take from earners and give to non-earners with zero utility recovered for the expenditure? Give me a break. Today's "poor" aren't poor. They just don't have everything that they want. There are too many "broke" fatties.

  8. This might be the biggest plus that Crumedy brings to our program. I've always felt like Jasper kids haven't gotten enough exposure in recruiting. He's got people from all over the place in the building almost daily.

  9. Gotcha!! I see that now. Sorry about that.

  10. Here is what I can't make sense with. What caused so much anger that they ALL went stupid during the entire encounter. Surely one of those guys are selfish enough to think we have body cams on, there is street surveillance, and we are holding this guy up and throwing punches, beating the crap out of him, maybe we should stop to save our own butt. Yet, not one did......... That makes ZERO sense to me

  11. Win #899 for Coach Sutherland. Next win will be #900. Very elite status this man walks among.

  12. That is because G W Bush in his first term pushed for private retirement accounts just like a 401(k) with the SS funding but the Democrats squashed it like a bug. They did not want people controlling their own money. The Democrats did not want your money, to be your money

  13. The video to this one is sickening. I'm very much pro-cop, and I think in a lot of the cases that cause outrage/protests/etc., there's a lot of gray area in what happened, or at least a mistake was made and common sense is enough to understand how it happened. This is the exact opposite. The officers did everything wrong from just about the very beginning in this case, and then beat poor kid to death when they should've been able to overpower him and get him cuffed without any blows being thrown.

Then you aren't reading all the links, many are hard news that aren't biased one way or another. I don't care to see one's point of view in a news story, hard news stands on it's own, the rest is commentary. There are others on here that are capable of independent thinking also, heck, we even spell and do math.

  23. This income refund fraud isn’t right, but ultimately not that big a deal. We’re talking about poor people getting a few thousand. They’re already poor, and their lives probably suck if they’re at the point of juicing income tax refunds, so why are you all so bent out of shape about it? Would you trade places with them? Hell no. Barely anyone bats an eye with government handing out literal free trillions of dollars to corporates, but ready to grab the pitchforks if their neighbor gets a lil chump change

Why? Coaching is coaching. Elite coaches are in every sport.

  25. Any Red Bryant’s, Jorrie Adam’s, or SirVincent Rodgers coming up? Pretty amazing how big those 2002-2003 Jasper teams were. I still say Jorrie Adam’s was the most impressive looking kid I’ve ever seen on a football field.

  26. What Bennett left them? The team produced in spite of the coaching the last couple of years. The coaching that won Anahuac games took place outside of the high school. Trust me. The new coach will produce because of the time and effort he is putting into the boys. I believe that Anahuac finishes 3 or 4 in district as well.

  27. Better tell that to CNN and MSNBC. YES they are blaming "WHITE SUPREAMACY". BTW remember the clearly brown skinned George Zimmerman? CNN called him a "white hispanic". Blame whitey for EVERYTHING.

Heidi Fleiss’ list was released and lots of people from all walks of life were exposed. She wasn’t involved in sexual predation of minors, so that list was probably safe enough to release. Back on topic….Shiff is one huge POS

  35. They “aren’t all bad” type statements are disingenuous at best. An overwhelming majority of officers aren’t bad. You just won’t hear about them. It doesn’t make the news.

I was making light of the person who said the coach must win state in so many years or else. That’s ridicules. An elite program like WO-S only has 4 state championships, Newton only 5. There are 62 teams that start out in each division, only one is crowned.

  38. There are always and will always be exceptions to the rule. Especially when a school gets a run of D1 commits through the program. Either way.. it's documented that household income, school tax base, and poverty correlate to success in athletics. To ignore that is just naïve. You should take a field trip to other areas of the state and look at what poor schools are competing with. State of art facilities, immaculate neighborhoods, brand new businesses, etc. Player A (6'4 220) has two working parents, attends summer camps/workouts around the country, has a dietician, has a personal trainer, has a private tutor, has 24hr access to the nicest facilities money can buy, has 3+ of the most nutritious meals imaginable that are specifically designed for health/performance, and has a team full of friends/teammates with the same exact life. Player B (6'4 220) has to work summers/weekends to help around the house, can't afford sports camp, eats whatever happens to be in the house, lifts/trains alone in a 30 year old weight room when he can find a ride, has zero teammates willing to put in extra work with him. Who has the head start, Player A or Player B? If you don't think that and similar scenarios play out across the state... you're either ignorant or stubborn. [Hidden Content]

  39. You mean to tell that BC brought in a coach from a storied program (I have NO clue who the coach is… don’t care) and didn’t start winning right away?!?! He didn’t bring over the winning formula to make a state run?!?! What tha what?!?! “Community support” dear lord man stop drinking that BC water! 2 best things about BC is the corn dog at Walmart and seeing BC in your rear view mirrors

  42. The back story is two players parents have made it miserable for the entire squad and ruined what should have been another run to the 3rd or 4th round.
