Remembering that the last 6 years that Clinton was in office was completely controlled by the Republicans. Not one economic bill passed unless the Republicans approved it. In fact the Republicans not only dominated Congress with large majorities, they took complete control over both houses of Congress for the first time since before the Korean War. Yes, Clinton signed the Republican laws and it boomed the economy. Apparently some people forget that the president can’t make laws, he can only endorse what sent to him by signing a bill into law. For the last 6 years of Clinton’s presidency, the Democrats sent him nothing. Thanks for the Republican endorsement.

Went back & looked at earlier predictions. I think @piratevillain might have nailed it - Ltown, Vidor, LCM & Huffman. Of course we won’t know for sure until Saturday. Been an interesting year. Thought the District would be tough this year. Hasn’t turned out like that except the Raiders, who may be the best Raiders ever. They have size, speed, good QB & RB. Only weakness is Defense, but looking at District of Doom (9-4A), they rely on offense and D is secondary. Moral of that, you just score more than the opposition you’re still winning. Myself, I’ll be pulling for all our teams. Ltown should be a shoe-in. Vidor has an outside shot with Lindale. LCM & whoever is fourth, draw Kilgore & Chapel Hill - good luck with them two - #7/8 below Ltown. Still, upsets happen.

I agree with all you said except that. Don't misinterpret some over-the-top vocalizations from a few posters here on this forum as a proxy for the whole Crosby fanbase. When things went south for them this year their fans to some degree abandoned them. I saw that when I watched some district games online. After they lost to BH and KW back to back a lot of their fans didn't show up in Port Arthur, for example. Also last year after they lost in playoffs to Liberty Hill a few of their fans had a melt down in the parking lot and loudly said some horrible things about their own team. It was not nice.

One thing I've noticed is Rice (tall white kid) has gotten a lot better compared to where he was at his freshman year. Seen him make a number of plays he wouldn't have made last season.

CH beat them 79-45 and Kilgor beat them 49-35. Kilgor and CH play one another this week for the 1 and 2 seed.

There were several factors determining the outcome of this game. What I witnessed was two teams of young men playing their hearts out in a monsoon. As I stated in a meatier post, throw out the season records. MCM has a mind if it’s own with the GREATEST rivalry in high school football.
