LCM has done a good job of "recruiting" WB & WOS players...

Ok....my take. (1) If you take the abhorrent holding calls from the Huffman game (8-1 against by the way...) Silsbee playing pretty clean ball compared to some earlier games in the past. 2) Defense is not only wrapping up they are devastating interior lines right now. This defense is quickly approaching the level of the state-semifinal teams a few years ago. Super aggressive. It will take some better teams offensively for a clearer picture of true level of play. Except for the 7 points scored by Vidor off the interception the starting defense as a whole was not on the field. Pretty consistent. 3) They don't run the ball well. They run the ball exceptionally well. 9 different backs handling the ball in both games. Scary, considering the blocking will only get better as the new online gets gelled. 4) I will agree somewhat on the passing game consistency. However, Miller only playing two quarters a game right now sonwho knows....the short passing needs improvement. My take. #TigerNation Jmo

I have watched nearly every practice scrimmage and game this season trying to get an understanding of our new coaching staff and type of play. The only thing I can gather from all I have seen is this is a different team than the last years and they will be a very strong team by seasons end. So I will not predict a win against WOS and believe that they deserve the respect due to them. I will be there with the rest of you all attending hoping for a safe injury free game because after the Stangs we face FBM. So hats off to you WOS team and fans. You were the program of the last decade hands down and earned everything you obtained. Looking forward to the game and I am even excited to play over there. Best of luck we will see you at the game.

Why would a defense that gave up 81 total yards be “lacking” in confidence? On the contrary. PNG D better not be overconfident in practice this week. WOS is a different beast. I will say that was the best pursuit and tackling I have seen from PNG in years.

This game will be a god indication of our coaching staff and their ability to game plan. The passing game we used last week, will be non existent against WOS. Defensively WOS will play tight and bring pressure, you won’t see a CB playing 10 yards off the ball. I’m anxious to see how this shakes out. For PNG to win, I think it will need to be a strong performance by the O Line, Tommy will need to run for 100+ yards, and no turnovers on the PNG side, if we can do that, and make it a competitive game, we have a shot to win in the end. If we turn the ball over, as we did against Memorial, it will be a long night.

Indians by 14! Both the coaches and and players had major nerve issues vs Memorial and were never able to shake it. We saw what PNG now has to offer this last Friday vs. BU. I have watched them practice and Friday was more indicative of what I have watched them do at these practices. Currently PNG's strength is spread the field and let the QB sling it! Mix in some power run game that continues to develop and they will start to play keep away (ball control). That is what killed us with the previous Teams and Staff. The defense will continue to develop and gain confidence and that will be trouble for opponents as the season goes. I firmly believe the Indians have a chance to contend for a DC as i think FB and Texas City are not what they have been in the past and are beatable. The new coach made a noticeable adjustment from week 1 and it showed. In the past thats what was missing, no changes were made we just continued to do the same thing and expected different results each week...We know the definition that is LOL. The one main thing that is a threat to PNG is an injury bug.... PNG has 1 or 2 key players that if they lose them they go from DC contender to 4th or 5th place.

I have watched LCM huffman and Lumberton. Vidor will be okay. I think the #2 spot will be vidor.

My take on silsbee. They get penalized way to much. Defense not wrapping and not playing consistent. Offense wise they run the ball well. But the passing game is inconsistent. Im hoping the coaches can clean it up.

Maybe those Vidor posters like to see the glass half full instead of half empty an give this years team the benefit of the doubt on putting together a winning season. I mean they are putting in the work to try to accomplish that goal. Its not that hard to pull up Vidors record for the past 20 years or so to see that they haven’t put together 2 district championships back to back but thanks for that incredible insight.

What game were you watching. Your team only had 45 total yard penalties should have been more. I'm not the only one who saw the refs take away 2 points when we were clearly in the end zone. The refs made some bad calls PERIOD!

No, I didn’t explain. The announcer at the game had his mic on between plays. Could hear him chatting, nothing bad. I do a lot of online meetings and I get (unreasonably) anxious when someone leaves a mic on at a break. It’s just a weird thing I have. announcers at the game were great, I was just whining.
