This Tiger team may be ahead of schedule. That’s two really impressive outings against big schools with solid teams. Dallas is going to have to earn it even this year.

I’m not sure anyone actually ever cared or was actually offended by the Chain Gang. Local administrators just wanted to look they were doing something. I guarantee if they had asked the team to vote on it it would have never been changed. Call them the Chain Gang if you want. The Chain Gang sounds scary. The Blue Link sounds insultingly stupid and cheesy, like it’s something a Cub Scout den mother made up.

Put some respect on Jayron Williams name tonight. It might not show up on the scoreboard, but he made a big impact for Silsbee under the boards. I'd be tempted to give him player of the game.

I wouldn't say they won't beat BU.. And I'm knot saying we will. But you can bet this game is going to be alot closer than what you think. By the games the two have played both teams are pretty much even at this point. Should be a really great game.

Is this a movement that was started by people of color in WOS who legitimately find it offensive? If so, then call it the blue link defense. Was it started by white liberals from other cities who feel the need to represent "simple country folks" that "just don't know any better?" If that's the case, leave it alone. It sure seems like far too often these "controversies" are created by people who don't have any skin in the game or a dog in the fight.

@Mr. Buddy Garrityand I talked about this. We both agreed that WB would be in trouble. Because Silsbee will not allow you to control the tempo and dictate the pace. You’re going to play at their pace. BU has a tendency to allow other teams to dictate the pace. They allowed WB to do it. It just so happens that BU is so good, they can play all kinds of different paces. This is probably why Silsbee was able to do what they did to WB.

Thanks soldier, I said that on describing the game that they had good shooters and even playing style but if United keep the faster pace it would take a toll on Cita, put more pressure on those 3’s and run they’ll be just fine.

The bad is Atascocita shoots 3’s like layups. I love their offense and shooting. The good is BU is more athletic than this team and it will take its toll in the second half. All this and Yates have not even heated up yet…. Interested to see how this second half goes.

China Spring will not get the same model Mustangs they saw last year.

And as much as we miss the ton of work he put into this site, we miss his quick wit and insightful posts more. He was one of a kind and irreplaceable in every sense of the word. But thank you to Mike (and Lisa) for doing all you can to try and pick up the slack. As bullets said, I don’t think it will ever be like it was. That’s what happens when you try to replace the irreplaceable.

I'm doing the best I can. I'm taking care of most of the boys side and was hoping someone would take on the girls side of things. Like was stated earlier, WOSGrad spent countless hours on this site. He was medically disabled from working so he had the time (and love) to spend on getting the content up on this site. I simply do not have his time. I am currently getting the boys basketball forum up to date and will try to get some schedules posted over here.

Well, I don’t know if you kept up, but one of our main guys…. An admin here passed away this summer. He was the one that was responsible for putting all this together. Right now, we are still trying to shuffle things around to bring all that valuable content here.
