When Vidor gets to running their hurry up run plays where they sprint to the line and quick snap it, that sure makes it hard to keep up. Sometimes I get a play or two behind but always seem to find a spot to catch up. All I know is one thing, Armadillo Lives Matter! And Vidor is going to win Friday night… so that’s 2 things. My introduction into this word game stuff came one day many years ago when talking in front of a couple of my G’kids - I said “cr-p”, which was the word we children used in lieu of the sh-t word (back in the day). Reminds me of an interview I heard of Ozzy Osbourne years ago. Told the interviewer that kicking his heroin habit was a piece of cake compared to quitting smoking. The interviewer started laughing and Ozzy said immediately, “I’m not bloody joking mate.”

Ever heard of the old saying "2 wrongs don't make a right" well that applies to this situation. In a case like this, a good, creditable HC would call his players together and tell them not to get wrapped up in the antics of the other team. He would also point out to the officiating crew that players are being hit after the whistle and those hits are starting to add up. Also, the coach has the right to pull his players from the game if he believes that is an option. But never would a HC with tact and respect for the game think its ok to jump up and down on a teams logo at midfield. And the people that think that is acceptable behavior...well they are just as classless.

So here is my 2 cents on this getting old thing . . . I am going to do my best to teach my grandchildren that there is a better way and to never be a victim. As a father I am 50/50 on that, my daughter is a victim and my son is not and he is the one with children at least right now. I wish I could have been 100% but I am also not responsible for the choices of another adult but still I didn't stop loving my daughter. I will fight to keep my children free in a world where that meaning is blurred but here is the rub. Using Fauci as an example he said "people need to give up their freedom for the good of society." This is why I will fight for my grandchildren because FREEDOM isn't safe but it is a heck of a good time. I hope this makes some kind of sense.

Arky is still a good football team and imo worthy of a top 10 ranking, Talent disparity was just to much. Even though Tex and A&M have talent, check out UGA's class rankings since 2017.. Bama & UGA are far ahead of everyone, Ohio St is the next closes but still a big gap... UGA did what they were suppose to, gonna be interesting to see if Kirby and the bulldogs can finally get over that hump. If any this is the year to do it.

The 4th place team in our district has been getting in at 4-3 in recent years. They better win this on and I’ll give them KP in the season finale. That would leave them needed to go 2-1 against a combination of Nederland, TC and BH. Losing to PNG this week means that’s not probable but it’s more than doable. Good luck, last couple years Dayton has already been out of it by now.

247 Composite Rankings lists him as the 49th best QB prospect in the country and 8th best in Texas. He was in the top group of the Elite 11 regional in Dallas this summer. One guy doesn’t win football games regardless of talent or position. The whole team has continued to improve. If we keep doing that we will be fine.

I can verify that two BH fans in my department did not show up for work today. They may or may not have been scheduled off days but I’m rolling with the optics on this one. First person in the office this morning was a Baytown Sterling fan explaining to me why we should’ve lost. Instead of engaging I took the low road and said, “Man, it must suck to have to watch us while your team plays.” I left it at that though, vender had dropped off ALL the breakfast tacos in his office.

The other was a late hit right in front of the BH sideline. The third was a BH kid trying desperately to tackle a man after the refs were blowing the whistle to stop play. How that one was offset I have no idea. But like I said Karma.

Can’t condone that. Crosby coaches were upset about the late hits some of which could have injured players. And alleged were cursed out at the BH game they went to scout. Might be a lil animosity there for years to come.

If BH plays the way they did against Crosby they should win by 20+. If they play the way they did the first four games of the year it might be a lot closer. Does the close loss give The Hill confidence they can play at that level or does it create a hangover situation where they sleepwalk into The Reservation and get beat? I said before the BH vs Crosby game that I though that contest would determine how those teams played the last half of the season. This is game 1 of 5 to see if that was the true BH Friday night?

There is no way Bridge City should be unranked while Huffman is ranked #3. Huffman is solid but they are no where near what they have been the last couple of years. I would argue Bridge City is better.

Manners are gone. Common decency and respect for elders is gone. The attitude now is say whatever you want (free speech), do whatever you want (defund the police), act however you want (it’s not your fault - it’s society, the government, your parent’s fault, etc). As people continue to turn their back on God, and as our country continues to distance itself from Him we as a country will continue rolling downhill like a snowball headed for hell.
