Feedback from knowledgeable folks watching film of Crosby acknowledge the speed and athleticism of the Cougars and feel this is the best team the Tigers have faced. Maybe my 21 point prediction was too optimistic, but I will hold on to my predicted winner. From an athleticism standpoint, I think the Tigers match up even. It will come down to line play. Which team’s offensive line can give their quarterback protection and open holes for the run. Should be a fun game.

I put a mask on to enter athletic events to see my kids play, but once I’m in I take it off. I’m also fortunate to live in a rural county. Other than that I pretty much live my normal life. If businesses refuse my money Due to no mask I take it elsewhere.....most small Mom and pop businesses Don’t and I try to do most of my shopping there anyways to support them cause we know big govt doesn’t ......as well as buy only made in America products(can be difficult at times). I will respect others by keeping my distance and that’s about as far as I ll go. Givin when I’m not at work I’m out in the woods so I’m hardly in stores or in public anyways.

Went to the game then went back to work. Again, I don't brag about games you're supposed to win, but I'm grateful for each one. And as I did in football, I didn't comment on the games during the action and I waited until other people chimed in after the conclusion. I'm more interested in enjoying this last year of following high school sports without being dragged into petty squabbles. That's why I don't @ you after your games because I don't have time. I'm sorry we're not playing this year. It would have been a good win for us. We're just going to have to settle for district wins. Good luck Coldspring-Oakhurst High School. The playoff matchups are going to be a dandy HF vs a 4th place Orangefield. HH vs a 3rd place BC, HJ vs 2 Silsbee, 1 Lumberton vs Livingston or Shepherd?

I guess "they" would be THS coaching and players. When you are a highly hyped team sometimes you can look passed an opponent. My basis is the fact that it has happened 1000000000 times throughout the history of high school, college, professional sports. I have watched video on THS and there is NO DOUBT that they are a very disciplined and talented team. Should be an amazing game. Also, I don't really need a basis for sharing an opinion on a message board. Its all in fun!!!

They didn't think it was a done deal. Fine program in Mart, the success speaks for itself. Windthorst coaching won that game. Last time they brought a ship home to Archer County i was stationed in Wichita Falls, heard about it for months. Congrats to Windthorst. Btw: #2 for Windthorst can come play at Arkansas.

That’s disappointing, we needed that one... BC at home should have been a competitive game. I’m sure no one thinks Vidor can sniff the playoffs this year but I don’t think they will be such an easy out. I know the record is bad but look at the schedule, much tougher than everyone else except Silsbee. The 2 games they should have won they split but when you play HF, HJ then HH followed by Ned, EC, BH I don’t think anyone in this districts record would be good against that level of competition. I’ve watched all their games, sometimes they look dead and can’t shoot but when they show up ready to play I think they might surprise a team or two. They have managed to beat all of the Orange County teams the past few seasons. OF, BC, WOS and LCM have all lost to Vidor but those were predistrict games and now they count. I know these teams have a lot of the same players back but so do the Pirates and they are very familiar with them. A forfeit and a game without a full squad to start district might just be a crushing blow right off the bat. I sure hope a district favorite or top team doesn’t have to shut it down because I would expect them to have to forfeit district games as well in the interest of fairness. The district has set precedent here with this decision so early on, bad look in my opinion. Should have canceled the game with the option to reschedule if it mattered in the final standings.

Oh boy... I hope we have a full Varsity team, if we have to pull kids up it’s going to get ugly in a hurry but it’s better than a forfeit I guess. I’m hearing we had to forfeit the BC game which I think is BS if that’s true. Plenty of time in the season to make up the 1st district game for both teams.
