Feedback from knowledgeable folks watching film of Crosby acknowledge the speed and athleticism of the Cougars and feel this is the best team the Tigers have faced. Maybe my 21 point prediction was too optimistic, but I will hold on to my predicted winner. From an athleticism standpoint, I think the Tigers match up even. It will come down to line play. Which team’s offensive line can give their quarterback protection and open holes for the run. Should be a fun game.

I put a mask on to enter athletic events to see my kids play, but once I’m in I take it off. I’m also fortunate to live in a rural county. Other than that I pretty much live my normal life. If businesses refuse my money Due to no mask I take it elsewhere.....most small Mom and pop businesses Don’t and I try to do most of my shopping there anyways to support them cause we know big govt doesn’t ......as well as buy only made in America products(can be difficult at times). I will respect others by keeping my distance and that’s about as far as I ll go. Givin when I’m not at work I’m out in the woods so I’m hardly in stores or in public anyways.

Went to the game then went back to work. Again, I don't brag about games you're supposed to win, but I'm grateful for each one. And as I did in football, I didn't comment on the games during the action and I waited until other people chimed in after the conclusion. I'm more interested in enjoying this last year of following high school sports without being dragged into petty squabbles. That's why I don't @ you after your games because I don't have time. I'm sorry we're not playing this year. It would have been a good win for us. We're just going to have to settle for district wins. Good luck Coldspring-Oakhurst High School. That regional game in Huntsville, Bush's freshman year. Yates was living in a half million dollar high density condo rent free in Silsbee's head. The score was going back & forth. 2nd half, Brae Bush was feeling it. He let go a 3pt shot just inside the half court line. Whushh! Nothing but net. You could feel the confidence leaving Yates like air leaving a balloon. That is my favorite Bush play or moment.

How were people wrong? Not saying Nederland kid was better but him and Bush were 2a and 2b. Best overall player in SETX last year was Kasen Harrison from BU.

That kid was a gamer. When it came down to to him balling out on the biggest stages, kid showed up. Playoff games, state tournaments, big rivalry games, ect...

And let me state again that I love every single thing about Braelon bush. He has the heart of a lion and is an unbelievable competitor with a skill set through the roof. Probably one of my top 10 favorite kids to watch play HS basketball. And probably way up on that top 10 list. And just a fantastic kid off the court from a great family.

I guess "they" would be THS coaching and players. When you are a highly hyped team sometimes you can look passed an opponent. My basis is the fact that it has happened 1000000000 times throughout the history of high school, college, professional sports. I have watched video on THS and there is NO DOUBT that they are a very disciplined and talented team. Should be an amazing game. Also, I don't really need a basis for sharing an opinion on a message board. Its all in fun!!!

That’s disappointing, we needed that one... BC at home should have been a competitive game. I’m sure no one thinks Vidor can sniff the playoffs this year but I don’t think they will be such an easy out. I know the record is bad but look at the schedule, much tougher than everyone else except Silsbee. The 2 games they should have won they split but when you play HF, HJ then HH followed by Ned, EC, BH I don’t think anyone in this districts record would be good against that level of competition. I’ve watched all their games, sometimes they look dead and can’t shoot but when they show up ready to play I think they might surprise a team or two. They have managed to beat all of the Orange County teams the past few seasons. OF, BC, WOS and LCM have all lost to Vidor but those were predistrict games and now they count. I know these teams have a lot of the same players back but so do the Pirates and they are very familiar with them. A forfeit and a game without a full squad to start district might just be a crushing blow right off the bat. I sure hope a district favorite or top team doesn’t have to shut it down because I would expect them to have to forfeit district games as well in the interest of fairness. The district has set precedent here with this decision so early on, bad look in my opinion. Should have canceled the game with the option to reschedule if it mattered in the final standings.

It is a forfeit and 100% agree with you. Plenty of time to make the game up. (particularly next week when the only games being played is non district games. just cancel one of those)

Oh boy... I hope we have a full Varsity team, if we have to pull kids up it’s going to get ugly in a hurry but it’s better than a forfeit I guess. I’m hearing we had to forfeit the BC game which I think is BS if that’s true. Plenty of time in the season to make up the 1st district game for both teams.

New Caney had Derrick Harris Jr sign with Texas, and DeJuan Grant sign with Lousianna Monroe. Cale Sanders Jr. was supposed to sign with Central Florida but I have not seen anything in writing to confirm he did.
