Vidor’s record has been terrible for so many years, except for a few rare anomalies. Even then Vidor attendance at games would outnumber many better teams. Most folks love an underdog, and heaven knows, Vidor has been that, lol. Now, with the NFL becoming more political than athletic, and many colleges not playing, what’s better than Texas HS Football? Go Pirates! Win or lose, just hope the Pirates give 110%.

Sealy lost to Navasota and Bay City. They recovered two onsides to beat Belleville. The rest of district was basically garbage although the win against Sweeny was semi impressive because of the margin. Orangefield played Silsbee and Livingston close. I think it’ll be a good close game and OF will find a way to pull it off.

I am not pushing anything. I was just reporting the decision of the meeting. If you would have read some of my earlier posts on here about this subject, you would see where I said I would have voted for his transfer, not against.

Boy I really have to give the Vidor faithful a lot of credit. They are always a bunch of post for them. A big credit too their loving fans, especially since you can count on one hand the number of years they have had a good team

Why would he go back to Tekoa when he left for reasons outside of basketball? It folks like you that's been pushing this BS narrative because you and others have an issue with Tigee Rideaux. That bull crap has now robbed my son of his junior year. I should have just sent him to private school or moved him out this area all together. SETX is one big crab bucket! Funny how the districts where the majority of ADs and coaches are African American don't have these type of issues or problems with kids changing schools. Had my son went WB or BU not one of those coaches would have challenged his eligibility nor anyone else in that district because it's about the kids and their coaches aren't trash!

This will be a much different game than back in September... 1. DV will have 4 starters that weren't available the first game (3 starter O/D Linemen) 2. Due to Hurricane Laura, DV was completely out of power during this time. 3. DV was able to scrounge up 13 kids for a single 1 &1/2 hr practice, the day before the first game of the season vs Cushing. 4. Cushing's big bruiser FB/LB had knee surgery last week. He was a key player on that team. Cushing scored all 3 of their TD's in the first 6 mins of the game. (1 offensive drive, 1 special teams and 1 red-zone turnover). They were held scoreless the last 42 mins of the game. They ran the option but now, split time with 2 QB's, in the option and in the Spread. Sure, we got beat and this is in no way an excuse...just trying to prove my point that Cushing will face a different team tomorrow night.

Not sure if Vidor can handle Lindales offense. Maxpreps has some video. The QB is a big guy that can throw. The RB is a BEAST. Good luck Vidor!! Wouldn't be the first time the Slot T has produced an upset!!

I was at the Lumberton game last Friday an they actually did use some of our defensive players on offense. I heard they will be bringing up JV players for the game tomorrow also.

Add Tarkington in there and that makes 2 bad days lol

Hate to hear that for HD...It's tough enough trying to keep a 20-25 kids healthy down at our level. I know the ones that do hit the field will play hard regardless.

If you get a chance to play the #1 team in the state, you take it. Playing these Silsbee teams the last several years showed us where we stood relative to the elite teams in the state and that's an opportunity we didn't want to pass up. We've also got a home game schedule with Wheatley on January 2. Really excited/hopeful to play this year!
