I have special needs twins and I will never have a kid on the team. I just love going to the games along with my son. We love the atmosphere and we love to support our hometown which happens to be the Pirates. As a side note Coach Mathews let my son lead the pirates out of the tunnel. That was about 4 years ago. That had a big impact on him because he talks about it like it was yesterday. So I guess I'm a little partial towards my Pirates. I'm just telling everyone why I enjoy Friday night's.

Baltrip is fast and will most times be the fastest player on the field. BUT...... he has 4 dropped passes and 4 fumbles in 3 games so far. Silsbee receivers need to get better at all aspects of the position.

Ok to answer MBG yes the PAM DBs will be tested against BH. Against Paetow BH had some good open looks ,but we couldn’t hit them. If the BH QB starts connecting more this week we will be hitting those slant and post routes that we were having trouble connecting with. BH running game didn’t get much this week partially because the passing game wasn’t on making us less diminsionable BH will come at you with a balanced attack to keep the defense guessing while trying to find the weakness to exploit. On defense BH did pretty good the week except for the 60 yard TD Run and a deflected Hail Mary pass ,but those things happen. Overall they contained the run and looked really good in the secondary defending the pass. I watched the PAM /PNG game , but didn’t tune in until PAM was up by 20. It’s still hard to tell at this point where the teams are, but I will take my Eagles at home this week (Shocker). I could be absolutely wrong, but Paetow looked good returning 8 on O and 6 on D from a 8-3 team a year ago. Game will be close, but BH gets it together this week.

Bro you are absolutely clueless last time I checked if the secondary is making tackles in the running game me and everyone else didn't do there job so saying the secondary is awful against the run is like saying the dline needs to work on there pass coverage SMDH

LCM actually has talent and could be MUCH better....our play calling is so conservative...we actually have a good qb and great receivers...and our defense isnt bad...if we would open it up and be aggressive, we could most likely be competitive....for some reason instead of playing to win, it feels like we play not to lose....drives me insane

Vidors defense as a whole does need to wrap up better and tackle but I have to say those 2 running backs for Jasper were above average in the skill dept. from what I saw. They’ll get it together. Time for district! Go Pirates!

Did a little research on the Splendora coach. He has a slightly worst record than the Vidor coach. So advantage goes to Vidor. Prediction will come later!

I think between storms & China Virus issues few teams have really been able to show their true colors. I mean, district powerhouse and previously 5A Vidor went into OT against Brazosport and Lumberton beat Brazosport shortly thereafter in regulation after starting 0-3. It’s my understanding that Vidor should handle Splendora without much issue. But who knows. That’s why Friday nights are so much fun.

Carthage on a WHOLE nother level! It’s crazy the amount of talent they have year in and year out.

Next week they go to Pleasant Grove. Crystal ball says different score, same result.
