  1. Spring Hill has two wins over two no win teams. They lost to a good Malakoff team last week 19-9. The Tigers are looking for their first home win of the season and what better way to get it on homecoming night.

  3. The "good ole boy" system is back in Dayton. The wrong people ( people that don't care about Football being great every year ) are making decisions about the Football Program again in Dayton. I did a little research for everyone : Nobody cares about Football, just put a team on the field and hope the players will play... 1991 : 2-8. Terrible 1992 : 0-10. Terrible 1993 : 1-9. Terrible 1994 : 4-6. Bad 1995 : 2-8. Terrible Somebody comes in and finally gives a crap, and DEMANDS winning... 1996 - 2010 ( Jerry Stewart Years - in full control of everything regarding athletics/football and won't let ANYONE interfere with winning ) Wins, Wins, Wins, and more Wins. State Championship Appearance, State Semi's, many Regional Championship Appearances, many District Championships, and 14 STRAIGHT years in the playoffs. 2011 : 9-4. ( Hancock Era - still running the program how Jerry did ). Very good, Still Winning 2012 : 9-4. Still Winning 2013 : 6-6. Average, but still in playoffs 2014 : 8-4. Still Winning 2015 : 7-4. Decent, but still in playoffs We don't want the Coaches being that demanding on the kids, we want them to have fun, we just want greater program participation... 2016 : 4-6. Bad 2017 : 3-7. Terrible 2018 : 0-10. Terrible 2019 : 1-3...? Anybody notice anything glaring about these statistics... Kinda like a pattern isn't it?

  4. That would sound better if it was coming from a team that didn't get shutout in the second half by Baytown. You keep trying to compare and contrast our schedules but since West Brook is the first winning team y'all will face, you sound like clown!

  7. Better to lose now when it doesn't count. It sucks be have a 40 something game win streak snapped in the state championship game. One thing for sure, Newton won't have to play gilmer again.

  8. I do want to say adversity shows true character. We have been in the same position. Your true colors show when things don't go right. Last night was an indication of Newton's character. First class all the way. That shows good coaching and discipline. 15-1 is by no means out of the reality.

@ VHS is a tough place to get a W. Matthews knows the tendencies of Faircloth and vice versa. This season, the Pirates can throw the football beyond the line of scrimmage and the Indians are playing better defense. I think it comes down to the team with the least amount of mistakes (TOs and penalties) and the last team with the football wins. PN-G 21 VHS 20 How is the WiFi reception at VHS? The Indians need reliable WiFi for the iPads. Thx. Go Indians. Peace.

Yea but don’t both of those songs suffer from cultural appropriation? In fact PNG should find another fight song that doesn’t denigrate the indigenous Native American population before someone gets their feelings hurt. Heavens forbid we offend an actual Indian, but all nonsense aside Vidor has never even been scored on at the home field. So obviously it will be Vidor 48 Groves 0.

  16. I think this defensive has stepped up in the last two games. We have played better on the Dline, LB and DBs. Now, there is a couple of players that need to go back to tackling school, but the defense is looking better.

  19. Nothing has changed?? No offense to Newton and all their fans because they are the real deal, but are we talking about the same Newton that just got shut out? Newton will probably still win state, but i would say something has changed from last year.

That's a lot of passes for Vidor. I wonder if this is a long-term thing or if Crosby was giving it to them. I've been saying for years that Vidor should incorporate the pass. I don't think there is any excuse for not doing so.

As many as they needed to win an it’s great to see! Good to see a little balance just enough to keep the defense guessing.

    Crosby at Dayton.

After watching the brawls at the BH game I think Dayton will start 6 more fights than Crosby. Dayton 10 fights Crosby 4 fights.

  28. They only scored 6 last year on Silsbee. Bulk of their offense graduated.

  29. If it's that high scoring Silsbee might need another week off to re-evaluate the D.

  31. It actually started around 2008 when Dayton was relevant and played for State. The Hill had a lot of little jackals posters 😎 that was jealous of the Broncs and BS would fly back and forth sometimes for 30/40 pages before the game. Mont Belveiw is built on the world's largest salt dome ( the dome evolved into the hill)and the Barber family was one of the first family's to settle and help establish the community. Hence Barbers Hill. So as trash talking goes and to be as disrespectful as we could the ant hill or ant mond came into play.

  32. I’m not sure. It’s been pretty clear both teams are dreadful all year. But only aggy could mortgage the farm, and become open enrollment, in order to pay $75 million for dreadful 😂😂. It may be the aggyest thing in the history of aggy.

    Hardin 26 Warren 23/FINAL

This ballgame turned on 2 plays. One was a nice interception by Hardin on a deep pass just before the half when Warren had a wide open receiver behind the defense. The safety went up and made a beautiful pic. The other Warren went for a 4th and 5 from the 8 in the 2nd quarter and didn’t convert. A FG there ties the ballgame. First time I’ve been to a football game in years and it was an entertaining game. Both clubs should compete with Kirbyville but I don’t see many other possibilities on the schedule for a “W” for either.

  38. I think you could tell which team played last week and the team that did not. After all that momentum we gained after the Nederland win we had to wait an extra week to compound on it. Any time you can get on the football field is good, no matter who you play. Our offense was nothing to brag about last night, not consistent, good at times, struggled at times, penalties hurt. Thing is we know our offense is better and will get better. Our defense was the difference last night. I think Lumberton's personal is suited for the slot-t. Other than two running plays we kelp the Raiders bottled up. Our front line causing havoc, linebackers making plays and secondary getting INTs. There's still two or three that need to go back to tackling school but all and all the defense is looking better.

    Vidor 37 Crosby 27/FINAL

The team you're thinking of is the 2011 team, not the 2012 version. It was the 2011 team that went three deep in the playoffs, losing to Angleton. The 2012 team ran into a strong Summer Creek squad and lost in the first round. IMO that 2011 team was the best since the '64 12-0-1 semifinalist team.

This group of boys knows all about Blake Bost, they’ve been playing against him since pee wee and yes I would have to say he’s always been really good. This whole group of PNG players has always been good, now you’ve got Dae Dae, it’s going to be a challenge that’s for sure.
