They feature mainly a passing attack with a brother QB to WR combination along with other outstanding receivers. They average 316 passing ypg with 44 TD's, and 12 INT's. Their QB completes at about a 70% completion pct. They average 128 rushing ypg with 17 TD's. Total ypg average is 445. La Porte carries a 9-1 record, and is almost a mirror opposite. The Bulldogs average 45.7 ppg, and give up 23.9 papg. They feature a rushing attack led by Simon and Ruffin that averages 366 ypg with 44 TD's, and a passing attack that averages 138 ypg with 17 TD's and 2 INT's. The La Porte QB's combined have completed 60% of their attempts. Total ypg average is 504. Weiss gave up 367 yards on the ground to College Station two weeks ago, and La Porte's pass D is their weakest part of their D. La Porte will really need to wrap up the Weiss receivers, and get pressure on the QB to create errant throws and TO opportunities. They can't allow quick strikes and breakaways. On O, the Dawgs will need to play error free & control the clock to wear down the Wolves defense. Should be a very good first round matchup. Thoughts?

I've retired!! Calling a spade a spade.if you knew football or how the program always ran. Then you would know this isn't going to work.have you look outside the district and seen how other teams are been coached.the only 3 teams out our area that are going deep in the playoffs is PNG,PA memorial,newton.

The new norm at WOS is celebrating a district championship like it was a state championship. Wos avoids La Vega in rd 2 so hopefully they can go 4 rounds this year.

I’m glad they won the DC but as stated above that’s just the basics here. Very happy for the kids that’s been putting forth the effort. But somehow something still seems off. They may be winning but not in the Mustang fashion we’ve been used to the last 40 years. Speaking to folks associated with various schools across the triangle, they don’t have the fear or respect for WO-S that they used too. When they see u on the schedule they don’t automatically think well that’s a loss that week anymore . But having said all that, Go Mustangs! Congrats on the district championship.

Same to y’all. I just wish the D wasn’t so hot & cold on wrapping up. Of course, I have to remember the secondary is still mostly underclassmen even if talented. Just frustrating when they can be so awesome one minute, and pull a bonehead move the next. Weiss is going to really test the secondary.
