Ironic that both of these 5A-D2 State Semi-Finalist were beat by 4A teams.  What are the odds?

Crosby was replacing 8 starters on offense and Liberty Hill had to replace all 11 starters off last year’s team. Carthage and LBJ benefited greatly by catching us both early.

Hopefully Crosby gets it done.  Either way, the Cougars have proved a lot of people wrong on this site that said the “stars just aligned right” for them last year.  They’ve definitely done better than I was hoping this year after losing so many starters. Next year should be exciting.

Don't we lose a ton of seniors this year again tho.

Kirkwood, Starting corner #19 is senior, RB, Couple O lineman, Casey, star linebacker.

In all fairness I know Carthage was trying to “find themselves” also.  They had the wrong QB in in the first half against Crosby.  Have no idea about LBJ.  Regardless of each teams struggles in those early days, it’s still a rather odd situation.  As I posted earlier, I bet it’s very rare, if it’s ever happened before.

Go Cougars!

They all are General Admission tickets and no they won’t specify home or visitor. But if you want to sit with the good guys, we are Visitors.

Man parking sucked again lol..  Then some smart Crosby fan in a white SUV had a whole parking lot blocked in with their dumb parking ability's. And i would be surprised if a few people from the neighbor hood didnt complain to some one.  Couple Pissed crosby fans dropping f bombs on them as they asked them not to jump the curbs. reminded me what it was like dealing with idiots..

I'll apologize for them, we're not all that way, but it only takes one bad apple to make the whole bunch look bad. The panthers came out and took care of business. As much as I hate it, Crosby didn't. Plain and simple!

    • I played 4 years of college basketball... and knew at a very early age that it would be my passion.  I also played football.. and baseball in JH/HS.  During football/baseball seasons I got in a lot of basketball drills.  Before school, after practice, and on weekends.  I most definitely have a problem with using time for YOUR sport during time that's allocated for another sport. As I mentioned in an earlier post, focusing on a sport doesn't mean abandoning the others.  It just means finding extra time. Players that want to be great will do that.
    • well then I'm with you on the other stuff you stated.  I don't at all have an issue with a basketball player getting some jump shots in during football, or some easy BP swings, etc.  But I don't want basketball players doing box out drills, batters facing live pitching, etc during football, and vice versa on football drills during those seasons.  I guess I should've clarified my original post with the caveat that I don't think they should be doing major work in multiple school sports at the same time.
    • They could hire Nick Saban or Andy Reid and you wouldn't buy in.
    • No Sir Non Contact Drills, probably not a big deal. But even 7 on 7 with pads or just helmets is a recipe for disaster. Non padded 7 on 7 in a controlled environment, maybe.
    • Be willing to bet there are more people worried about the lack of success than success at Nederland. I see them winning 2 district games maybe 3 next year.  If you are looking for success at Nederland in the next couple years your best chance will be baseball. Time will tell but it doesn't seem like people are buying into what the new coach is selling.
