Next up. t a&m cc. 6-2  lost to pokes by 1

    Fg % is low

don’t shoot the 3 very well, but they rebound especially on the offensive end

keep the big guy off the boards, no easy buckets, low ft %

Hoping we figured some stuff out last night.  UNO’s big may have been the best scoring big they’ve played.  Had about 10 points in the first 8 minutes until the Cards found a matchup he struggled with.  Also will help not struggling against the 3 like we have for 3 years with rim protection.  But that’s easier said than done these days as almost every kid is conditioned out of HS to double down when the ball goes to the block (because very few high schools have a dominant big).

Disclaimer: I’m biased but I also know of what I speak.

Did you see the BYU student section with the HORNS DOWN shirts next to the UT bench? 😂

UT gonna catch hell in the SEC.

Trust me when I say 90 percent plus don’t care.  I believe the majority are like me and take it as a compliment that those who do it are advertising the brand.  And RT whining about it after the UCF loss got him more criticism from the longhorn faithful than the loss.  But others thinking it does helps do it all the more, great with me.

Holy cow!!!! McNeese with an unbelievable dub! Straight miracle! Texas A&M Corpus Christi gotta be sick. McNeese wins it on a rebound and put back at the buzzer. 62–61. Islanders blew an 18 point second half lead.

That dude should be playing power 5.  If he was 6-9 or 6-10 he would be set for life in the league.

Just glad the HC wont be crying about Horns Down.

So embarrassing. And I’m sure the students behind the UCF bench weren’t saying God knows what about their mothers, families, etc. And why anyone would be triggered by a horns down is beyond me anyway.  Who cares?  They are demonstrating why you have the coolest hand gesture in sports.  Most iconic anyway.

If you sign a contract and don’t fulfill it, why would you get paid?  Also why would sign a contract you didn’t understand?

Please stop interjecting relevant questions into my trolling…

  6. Harold Perkins was smart enough to sniff that out in advance.  Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where he tells the lady taking the reservation is easy, it’s holding the reservation that’s most important.  I’m sure aggy stiffing players won’t negatively effect future recruiting though (as if the other schools didn’t have enough ammo 😂)

Will Wade is a damn good coach and paying kids is legal now.  Someone is going to scoop him up

Yes he is.  I wouldn’t be surprised if the Tigers wanted him back (although they have been better of late).  Watching McNeese the other night, they may stumble somewhere in conference (because, well basketball) but it won’t be easy.  Tough to beat a team that has the best roster and is the best coached.

UT is 1-3 in conference, and not particularly good this year.  As I expected. Would love to have kept Beard.  Not surprisingly, Ole Miss is currently 15-2 on the season with Beard at the helm, after going 12-21 last season.

Rodney should send him 10 percent of his paycheck right after tithing.  A lot easier to Coach when you are handed a final four-caliber team someone else put together.  UT didn’t have much choice giving him a deal but they gave him more money and more years than I thought was necessary.  Still not a ridiculous deal and certainly can afford to buy him out after next season (which may be likely if he doesn’t figure it out).  When you have someone who has coached for many years, their record will tell you who they are.  Then again, I’ve seen some colleges hire guys who have barely ever had a winning season.  Rodney is a nice guy but may be over his head.

Im gonna say Kountze -10… Idk what size Orangefield has but teams with some size and that are aggressive on the boards tend to do better vs Kountze… and at the same time they have to handle the press.. but if Kountze is shooting the ball well then look out

They have a 6-7 with some bounce.  Pretty solid rebounding team.  If they shoot it well, could be a pretty good game. If they struggle (or turn it over excessively) could get out of hand.

I’m not in touch with the program much anymore, but I didn’t do a lot of cheering.

Everybody knows that BC athletes are far superior to those that OF produces in every way, but we also play in a much tougher district. I don’t expect Smallley to have any better results in BC than he did at OF. Who knows? We might even finish as a four seed sometimes.

I mean… if your district is populated by Silsbee, Jasper, HF, and WOS (the old WOS, anyways) you’d want to hire somebody capable of elevating the program to point where you’d be competitive, right?

    Or not.

Same gene pool, just much softer kids who appear to have breast fed inappropriately too long in BC…

Back on topic, as long as the Bobcats don’t hire Mike McCarthy or Jimbo Fisher I will be happy.
