Port Neches-Groves vs. South Oak Cliff Predictions
southoakcliffintellectual and 10 others reacted to CS. for a topic
What else are we supposed to say honestly? You guys (I love your stuff, no kidding) but you promote and glorify teams along with the UIL who gain advantages. Everyone knows what's coming and it's extremely difficult to compete with it. And somehow it's "racist" to bring up recruiting? Still haven't figured that one out. It is what it is man. The rules are there that allow it currently but it doesn't impress me. They have the most transfers in the state. That should not be allowed OR the school should be able to do it if they move up to a much higher classification. It's common sense to most but not all for some reason. Crown them. We are still coming, and we are bringing hell with us.11 points -

I don't know. According to the peanut gallery, MH has inside info that will provide them the win. đ11 points -
While I would have liked to see them score a TD and make it a closer game, what a great and fun season for those boys. They brought some life and Cardinal spirit the likes of which Larry Ward stadium hasnât seen in years! What a fun ride itâs been! Itâs a great day to be a Cardinal!10 points

Word I received is that Bailey will not play against Ennis but is hopeful to play in 3rd round. I have been told the extent of his injuries but that doesn't need to be publicized here. That's for his family and school to announce.8 points -

Im backkkk⌠just for a post or two. SOC, Randle, and IC, to me, are the top tier teams in the classification. I think we fall into tier 2. Does that mean we canât win, noâŚ. But it will take a perfect game and pull it out in the end type of situation. I will say this. And Iâm a life long PNG fan. I have never seen more ignorance, racism, and utter negativity in my life from the PNG fans. From the crying about open enrollment, gloves, region, coaching, etcâŚ. Suit up and play the game and see what happens. But speak with some football IQ folks. We are in the quarters. A undefeated season so far, great coaching staff, and good little team. Have a QB, RB, and 2 WR, coming back next year. Versus all the negativity, shoot out some positive thoughts.6 points -

no probably to it, and the tigers absolutely deserved that hardware. It's one thing to run into a team that's better than you, another thing entirely to be a town of less than 7,000 people and run into an AAU team recruiting from 13 districts and millions of people.6 points

[Hidden Content] I use to work with maps while working for the Jefferson Co apraisal district back when it was off 39th St in Groves many moons ago. My understanding is it was the county lines, then the school district lines. Un-incorporated areas became cities and that's why you have city boundaries not matching the school district's lines. Also, neighborhood developers just build in an empty field not really paying attention to school district lines unless they will use it as a selling point. But to your initial question: that whole area between 365 and Jimmy Johnson is a cluster but I remember when all of that was rice fields5 points -
Mustang alum following from DFW. This is incredible. I did not think it was possible. After losing that opening game to Nederland it seemed like here we go again - another season just like the last three. I'm amazed not just by the fact we've made it this far, but HOW we've done it - coaching improvements, halftime adjustments, focusing on the strengths of our personnel (using that big O-line/awesome tailback/I-formation, etc.), and better overall defensive play. If we can eliminate turnovers and lessen the penalties, they can beat any team in 4AD2 (save Carthage, but who knows). They were good enough to beat Sealy by two TDs last week if not for the turnovers. I'm so impressed with the heart of this team and how they continue to be better than their opponents in the second half. Keep it going, WO-S!5 points

Wow, just wow... as bad a first half as you could have in a 4th round game... and takes home a 15 point win. Good job everyone. Adjustments made. I tell ya what, those kids got some fight in them. And they will play their hearts out for their coach. Much respect.5 points

Itâs comical to me when places recruit a super team then feel pride despite the fact that they couldnât win with the talent they had on hand. Especially when you think what would happen if schools like PNG were willing to ignore the rules with all of the resources at their disposal. Iâd rather lose with our kids that grew up here than win with some kids who stopped here for part of a season.5 points -

PAM was the best defensive team in the area.Holding teams to around 15 pts on avg. Saturday was the first time in awhile they gave up that many yards and points since game 2 of the season. Also this year, as a team, they did not get penalties like Saturday. Idk if the refs was calling ticky tack holding or actual holding. The false starts and offsides are very uncharacteristic. IMO, PAM run defense is one of the best in the state. Shut #22 down and we got a real shot. Also rbâs like him donât do well against PAM defenses. Heâs one of those bruising backs that you canât let him gain momentum. Not saying heâs a Derrick Henry, but runs similar.4 points

Without getting into specific details, Iâll just remind folks that SpecOps operate under different ROEâs than conventional military units. Yes. They still operate under international laws and rules of combat while in uniform, or under the flag of the U.S. But, rules are vastly more flexible. Typically, a USN vessel assisting in deterring criminal activity will replace their fleet flags with a Coast Guard flag, and thusâtechnicallyâbe under CG control with the legal protections offered. It can be debated if designating a group a terrorist organization makes them a military or criminal target. I donât have details on the attack in September. If true SpecOps, much of what youâre hearing from the chattering class is inaccurate/incomplete due to their lack of knowledge of the incident, and in the different ROEâs. Rest assured, when uniformed DOD personnel are involved, JAG is also involved at every level in the chain. They are the experts in military law. Not civilian lawyers, pundits, or politicians. If Congress wants to change something, they need to pass a resolution of some sort defining when/how POTUS can use force. History has shownâall the way back to Jefferson and the Barbary piratesâthat POTUS has the authority to defend the U.S. and itâs interests with military force. âDefending the U.S.â is the gray area in this case just as it was with many previous Presidents, including Obama and Libya, and Biden and the Houthis. Finally, Iâd be especially concerned how leaks from military operations were still occurring.4 points

Hereâs my actual take on last nightâs game. CHâs team was definitely bigger and more athletic than our squad. Sometimes bigger and faster teams win, and sometimes the team that executed better gets the win. It was honestly a really close game, but CH just made more costly mistakes than we did. Their bad plays seemed to have worse consequences last night than ours. We botched the snap on a punt, but the punter recovered the ball and still got it out of there. On the flip side, CH botched a snap on a punt and downed the ball deep in their backfield giving us an easy 7. Stuff like that. Our defense kept us in it when we couldnât get our offense moving against their very solid D-especially up front. Hosting a playoff game in BC was outstanding⌠first one in memory, and the atmosphere was as good as itâs ever been in my opinion. It was a really, really good night for the BC. I was also very proud to see a pretty clean game-I can only remember one unsportsmanlike called all night for a scuffle near our sideline. But I canât count all of the times I saw one of our kids offer a hand up to a CH player, or slap somebody from the other team on the back. I saw one of their kids lose his helmet and one of ours picked it up and handed it back. It kinda stuck out after the festivities from a few weeks ago vs LCM. Their band and drill team put on a good show, but I was a little surprised that their fans didnât travel better. Kind of a small crowd, but it was three hour drive for them on a workday. We didnât destroy anybody, we just played our game, had some lucky breaks, and were ahead on the scoreboard when time ran out. On to the next one.4 points
