    This matchup used to be the premiere game in the state. Knowing the tradition of both teams it will get back there.

    I loved the Drum, seating and atmosphere but the traffic, parking and hotels became a problem. Was hard to go eat between games and get back in time. At SA one can be at the Alamo Dome in five minutes from the hotel. Great location but the arena could be more basketball friendly.

    Saw WOS play a couple times last year. They were young and looked like a year away. Coach Wilson is a good coach and he will have them well prepared this year.

    Who’s your sleeper for next year? The team that could take the next step? I’m thinking Zavalla. Got some talent coming back and Leland Hand will be doing the head coaching…. Also Diboll should take a step forward. Lots of young talent in the near future.

    Agreed on all. Diboll should be good this year and really good for a few years after that. Their JV was solid and their incoming freshman class will be the best group (if they stay together) that’s come out of there in a long time….Westwood should be illegal. lol

    Onalaska should be very competitive again this year? That program has become solid.

    I watched both 3A games yesterday. Momentum is a real force. When the wheels come off it can affect all areas of your game. The 4th and 6th inning were brutal for Franklin. Uncharacteristic errors took its toll. … Watched London go through their pitching staff walking batters and hitting batters. The better teams won but the games could have been somewhat different if all teams played to their potential. Nerves…
