Thursday watching Huntsville vs Montgomery on the back porch cooking chili. Friday eating at Lercy’s Dinner West in Mont Belvieu then Nederland vs Dayton Saturday Lamar vs SFA tailgating. Menu is Fajitas and Tacos, margs, queso, hot sauce. Then 2$ beers at the game. Please come out and support LU!! Huge game!!!

I would make Athens or Canton a favorite but HF certainly is capable of winning the game against either team. Again, I think it's ridiculous to say they can't win.

First off, I never wish a bad injury on a hs athlete. Now with that being said, I like our chances of possibly a rematch with LP. First rd, ERRBODY IN DISTRICT BETTER WIN LOL. Our second rd game is gonna be relied heavily on our defense, as with all games. I feel like 24 points SHOULD be enough to get past rd 2 as long as the defense is healthy and keep playing lights out. Rd 3. Assuming Randle is still there. I like us in a close one with no starting qb for Randle. That L against LP hopefully will prepare us for the best rb in the state.

What I’m hoping for from this game: get a huge lead by half like 35-0 AND PULL MOST STARTERS!! NO INJURIES!!! Lets get these JV dudes and second teamers some quality playing time, ESPECIALLY OFFENSE. i assume we will wear the traditional red jump man uniform, do a red out?? my view on Robert’s has changed completely. I still think his passing needs work, BUT it’s much improved since the start of the season. Hopefully next year we see a taller, stronger, more accurate version of him… kid gonna be good come senior year. If the 8th grade prodigy is what everyone is saying he is, we will be fine at QB for the next 4 years.

I don't have definitive knowledge on this, but EVERYTHING is more expensive. A few obvious expenditures off the top of my head: a lot more free breakfasts and lunches are given out now, and they cost a lot more to make than they did 40 years ago, and diesel for busses is insane.

Based on what I'm reading, idk what district they would move to. School bond proposals were turned down all over Texas this week. From the Texas Flyover email this morning: "Texas voters rejected school bonds and tax increases from El Paso to Houston on Tuesday, including all 19 school funding measures on North Texas ballots, where Keller ISD alone sought about $828 million for campus repairs, technology, and turf."

I wanna say in the 90s the elementary schools had a principal and the assistant principal was a teacher that taught and stepped up when Principal was out… could be mistaken. Nederland student numbers are dropping especially in athletics.I tend to wonder should Nederland go to 1 MS? CO be 5th and 6th.. central be 7th and 8th.. I know they just spent all that money on the bonds to add 5th grade wings at the elementary school but I personally don’t feel they did the correct things. It was hurry and rushed and not listen to the community needs. Just IMO Didnt know about any of the issues you said above… I’m slowly been drifting away from NISD and there shannigans. But this time the citizens let them down by not passing the bond. I also don’t think they presented this bond very well… I believe for NISD to get a bond to passed they need to do a better job presenting it and getting it out really far in advance… None of the neighbors really knew about it until they went and voted. If they want an Athletic Bond to pass for turf baseball/softball field indoor practice facility and etc… they need to get it out now and have it on the ticket for next November. Imo.

I make no predictions about PN-G, but according to coach we are down to 1 original starter missing. Its been a heck of a year for injuries. Well one we lost for the year our big Center. He is a junior. We have one more that can come back when he is ready. Close as 100% as we have been all year. Some really odd things this year. Glad to be nearly there before the playoffs.

Region 1 and 2 - Metroplex Region 3 and 4 Houston State - San Antonio

I admit that I am not happy about our state turning blue but I always thought it needed some purple shade. I believe as far as the state of Texas goes, the Democrats didn't win this election. The Republicans lost it. Republicans turned the ball over too many times, both inside the opponent 10 and near their own goal line. Costly TO's that lost them the game. One of those cases of the "better team lost".

PN-G is in a really good position going into the playoffs. Lots of kids contributing on both sides of the ball. There are a couple of challenging teams in their bracket, but the Indians are going to at least the 4th round again, which will be the 5th year in a row!

nobody here is close to that coaching staff. Notice the negative accusations. They know nothing about the coaches or team, they just criticize.

Would be nice to have two semi locations - Region 1vs 2 one location - two days of games, Region 3 vs 4 one location two days of games. The small school big school format makes it difficult if not impossible though so maybe 1a-3a sites, 4a-6a sites or any combo like that.

41-20 Silsbee

Made a change to my Thursday schedule. Going to Stallworth Stadium for Beaumont United at Baytown Sterling. This is basically a play in game (sort of, see playoff scenario thread). Loser of this game is eliminated from playoff contention. I always prefer (most times) attending a "winner take all" type game (elimination game) than a game that both teams will be making the playoffs. Besides, Stallworth is closer than Montgomery. (and I really like Cactus Jack's) I'm still going to attend Shelbyville/SA district championship game.

It's hard to get district MVP from a 3rd place team but don't get it twisted Huffman's RB (Bacon) is the best player in the district. Having said that it wouldn't shock me at all to see LCM QB get MVP and Bacon get Offensive player of the year.
