LP D still having trouble wrapping up & OL still a work in progress. DP is stacking safeties within 5 yards of LOS and blitzing gaps. LP is going to have to get them to back off where Simon can get some lanes. LP’s OL is too young & banged up to blow the bigger DP DL off the LOS. They were starting to get some momentum built before the fumble. DP gets the ball to start 2nd half.

I have two questions. A). You honestly thing a coach would intentionally “sink their ship”, Why? He’s job depends on winning. because Orangefield plays both teams, how does Woodville come out scoring then gives up 14 points at the end of the game. ?? Defense got tired or Buna got stronger

The horns exceeded all expectations last night. The line play was fantastic. Broussard had all the time he needed to pick the secondary apart. On the rare occasion Vidor broke through he was able to scramble and make plays. The d-line may have been even more impressive. Vidor picked up 3 or 4 first downs on their first drive, and then I don’t know if they had that many the rest of the game apart from their scoring drive late against the second team. The HF running game got going last night, which was nice to see after we beat LaMarque exclusively through the air last week. Special teams was solid, although the air was like soup and my kicker wasn’t getting the distance he got last week on his long kicks. All in all HF was fantastic in all facets. They dominated in all areas. I will say, as a special teams guy, Vidor’s kicker is quality, although he didn’t have much of a chance to showcase that last night.

The North Shore defense showed up and showed out. The North Shore offense however is still trying to find its way.

Glad my eagles won but something‘s gotta be done or helped out in the kicking team or it’s gonna really hurt them in the playoffs . Maybe our guys were gassed, but after the first half it sure seemed like Franklin figured them out on both sides of the ball. Very classy move by Franklin for what they did at the first game with the flags and passing the helmet. Good luck the rest of the way Franklin.

DP looks solid. Not a 4 round deep team right now. But solid in all areas. They’ve got a couple excellent playmakers in Shroeder & Yates. QB is much improved this year. LP D is not very good at all & OL needs work. Wells is going to have to carry a big load this year for LP to have success. Teams key on Simon & OL can’t block for him. Wells had a good night tonight. He’ll have to continue to do so. LP looked better than last week. But, they still have a lot of work to do. Hope they get it together by next week. LP had a chance for 2 more TD’s, and errors cost them with a TO at DP 1, and then another chance blown from the 6. Still, the D gave up over 500 yards.

WB’s averaging, by my eyeball guess, about 5 yards a carry. If they would keep pounding the rock they’d keep the ball out of our hands and really wear us down. That’s what PAM did. Nothing fancy. Them trying to throw is a gift to us.
