You would think the Chicago Teachers Union would be more concerned with school age kids dying by violence on a daily basis in their city, but that doesn’t fit their agenda as useful political idiots.

They have mostly a takeout business and only a couple of sides. The brisket dirty rice is great though. They also have pretty good tamales in my opinion but that might be the most subjective food ever. The tamales are not on the menu and they usually make them by order with at least a day’s notice. They have limited hours like Tuesday-Saturday and maybe Noon to 7pm but I never remember. It’s a small operation with usually just a man and his son and sometimes his mother making tamales. I like their brisket at least as much as one that is seemingly famous locally in Beaumont and at half the price. I told them that they needed to start doing beef ribs.

Stop there about every second time I go to the deer lease. the boys have gotten spoiled from me showing up with brisket and ribs.

LOL My son & daughter-in-law are both in their late 30's. They are both Veterans. Our DIL is a naturalized Costa Rican American, and proud to be American. They have given us 3 beautiful grandchildren (twin granddaughters, and a grandson). Our grandson was born in Japan. We're very proud of them. We have a unique view of immigration because of our family. I don't remember what my son did when he was 17. Sometimes, I don't remember what I did yesterday. I usually lock my vehicles with my FOB at least 4 times for good measure because I can't remember if I did it yet or not. If people think it's my alarm, I blame it on stray cats.

lol, same here. He was 17 last year when he got a ticket for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. I made him pay for the ticket and the defensive driving course. I think the torture of taking the defensive driving about killed him. Lol You correct though, life is a culmination of decisions.

I have seen with my own eyes, entire wings of new campuses vacant during the school year but built anyway in anticipation of growth. They do that to avoid overcrowding. School grows, open the new wings. Incredible foresight and planning.

He would definitely be up there but his teams at Hightower and other places wasn't as scoring prolific as his teams at Yates. Jackie Carr, legendary coach at Wheatley, would be right up there with 100 point wins.

My beliefs are best described as a fiscally conservative libertarian. Not the Libertarian Party. I’m not a fan of the Patriot Act or some of the tools described in the articles I linked without heavy guardrails. Even then, I wouldn’t trust the guardrails being respected. These tools could easily be used similar to warrantless searches. That’s why I posted the links. People should be aware and make their own judgement on their privacy concerns. I support the immigration efforts, I think the paid agitators and those involved in the underground networks with a purpose of interfering with the immigration deportation efforts should be arrested, jailed, and forced to pay for any damages public or private. Same token, I think body cams on all are good for authorities and the public. I think the agents should be able to wear masks if they choose. But, they should clearly identify themselves as their official capacity in a more standard fashion.

The officers at one point were literally standing along the wall watching people break the glass. Those officers obviously didn’t feel threatened. The officer that shot her had to have seen them.

I agree but there were tactical officers behind her in the stairwell. So I was just wondering how the officer that shot her felt threatened.

She always post that type of response. No one in this administration WANTED someone to die….but based on both situations, it was completely the fault of rioters, not protestors who caused their own death while it appears committing felony’s.

If any district can be trusted to stay ahead of the growth and be good stewards, it's BH. The planning that has gone into the new campuses and sustaining adequate space when experiencing exploding growth, has been a marvel to watch. I work over here and have heard from residents that BH has only passed one bond in the history of the district? Anyone know if that is true? If so, wow is all I can say. I'm also interested to see if Enterprise or any of the other local operators is contributing to the project. I know that happens quite a bit and is a major benefit for BHISD.

that actually could have something to do with why they didn't fire. the officer who fired was able to do so at an angle where he had a wall as a backdrop behind his target. If the officers from behind the mob had fired they would've been sending bullets into the room that the other officers were trying to protect.

Sooooo, I’m in Austin driving down S Congress and pass a LIVELY ELEMENTARY school and these elementary age kids are holding a teacher approved Ice Protest. Cool if that is your thing, but that age holding up F Ice signs really shows what these kids are being taught… I parked further down on Congress and they were let out to march down the street. As they passed they were screaming, they asked me if I supported ice….I said of course, and kids kept walking but an adult lady told me to kick rocks with curse words I’ve never heard of…..lol. So peaceful, it’s a wonder anyone gets hurt (sarcasm)
