Carthage fan here apologizing for the error made in my very first post on this site in the Sinton thread. I posted the score of a 2008 Rockdale-Carthage playoff game as being a WO-S-Carthage game. I was relying on a website which listed all Carthage playoff games, which go back to the 40s. The lesson is not to believe everything you read! WO-S is on quite a roll. Says a lot about the character of a team to overcome the adversity of starting a season 2-3 by winning 10 straight to get to the state championship game. Expecting a great game Friday between two schools with impressive pedigrees…and some great athletes.

Here is my 2 cents that probably means absolutely nothing.... First, This is one of those things I wish he would of kept his mouth shut.... It would have probably served him better. Someone's death is not the time to get the last word..... However, Trump has been delt some bad hands since 2016. He has been accused of being a Nazi, Racist, Pedophile , mentally unfit, crook and probably more I don't remember. There is now evidence, and pretty good evidence that he was set up to fail by the Obama administration, the Hillary administration started the Russia hoax, Biden admin and certain states used Lawfare to try and bankrupt him and send him to jail, and at his age, would of been a life sentence.....and in this political climate there was 2 assassination attempts on his life, one being an inch from ending his life..... Reiner was a very loud critic of Trump, he helped launch a committee to investigate the Russian hoax (and never admitted it was a hoax), called him unfit to serve, called him a Fascist, claimed Trump was gong to end Democracy, wanted to charge Trump with TREASON (death sentence), wanted Trump to spend the rest of his life in prison..... There was some bad blood between the two, and if we are all being honest, our opinions of people do not change when someone dies. Again, he should of kept his mouth shut, but I can see his motivation to speak out.

Rude and crude is one thing. But making comments like that when a man and his wife are murdered by their son? That's so out of line and disrespectful. Makes him no different than the folks he was criticizing for their comments after Kirk was killed. Very two faced. We are not debating policies here. Just be a descent human being. Something I expect my president to be. Just needs to be more respectful. Not hard to do.

Completely unnecessary from Trump. Just doesn't make any sense to do that. It certainly isn't very presidential.

Y'all really sound like some losers talking about "why doesn't Carthage opt to play up?" Like, why would they do that? They are squarely in the middle of D2 numbers. Because they are successful? The schools mentioned that opted to play up probably did so for travel purposes, not because they thought it would be fair to the rest of D2.

Orangefield handled HJ more easily than they did BC earlier this year even though they were both convincing wins for us. However, HJ had their football guys and BC didn't. BC is a different team with Mungy on the floor and he is the catalyst that gets Bush going. No knock on HJ at all, but I got BC by 15.

HJ has been up and down as expected, but they're starting to click winning 5 of their last 6. I would be surprised if this one is "ugly."

Numbers 4-7 are spot on. There’s no question many things were changed those first two years and the facts show it didn’t turn out for the better. Beginning last year they got back to more of what made Mustang football so successful and the results are speaking for themselves. He and his staff have earned more respect. I just feel very badly for the kids that played those first two seasons. All their young life they dreamed of wearing that silver hat and following in the footsteps of those that played before them and they were caught up in an experiment that went wrong. Many don’t actually place alot of the responsibility on Hickman and his staff for that, it mainly fell on the previous superintendent Ricky Harris. He wanted so badly to show the world that WO-S could be successful doing things differently and with a different style and we all seen how that turned out. Good luck to Hickman and his staff and the Mustangs on Friday. Orange is proud of yall.

That would be the 4th district then...the current 12-5A. I'll have to see if any of them moved a classification. I didn't check that.

Sterling is still D1 along with GCM. I count 25 5A D1 teams in R3 (including Lufkin). Well in Bridge City's case, it was to get an easier path to the playoffs. They opted up to avoid having WO-S and Silsbee in their district.

Bridge City is just 4 off from being DI. Got no problem with them opting up. Liberty on the other hand, has no reason to opt up with a 757 enrollment.

The suspects are white, so Big Girl or anyone else can’t cry racism. She should have shot them before they beat her up. Maybe the parents can be sued for raising hoodlums.

What a wonderful tribute to a great leader of young men of which I was once one. Great coach and even better person who left an undeniable legacy on the field, at the school and in the hearts of those under his leadership. If that bothers anyone here then I think they might need a character check.

That's for classifications, not divisions. I know of several schools that played DI football but played DII basketball and baseball in the playoffs. It was determined by what schools qualified for playoffs. Barbers Hill and Port Arthur Memorial all play 5A DI football. Both played in the 5A DII basketball playoffs. Beaumont West Brook and Beaumont United were the DI representatives in basketball out of that district. Heck, there were even some cases where a school played DII football but ended up playing DI in basketball playoffs.

Reiner has spoken about Trump his entire political career (as you have pointed out) speech that could easily cause a crazy to take a shot at Trump. He put money behind the Russia investigation, has said Trump is unfit to serve, said he was destroying democracy and wanted to serve as an authoritarian, as well as targeting Republicans in general, with the same hate speech. If you want to be spoken about kindly, maybe not try to ruin someone’s life with lies.

You also called Kirk a vile human being. What’s the difference? You even posted an article about hate. Remember? Trump should keep his feelings to himself, but like LRF said, he insults everyone and speaks the truth. Wokeism and socialism is bad for the country. I have no problem saying that. Reiner’s comments about Trump being involved with Russia, without any proof, was very damaging, but no one cares because it was against Trump…..surprise. Where the comparisons between Kirk and Reiner fail miserably, is the people who may have lost their jobs for their comments about Kirk, were celebrating his death. Trump did not celebrate Reiner’s death. I haven’t seen people in the streets acting like they are stabbing themselves in celebration either. At the end of the day, Trump speaks the truth, insults people (including his own party), hurts feelings, and pays the price from those who, all of a sudden, find moral high ground. What else is new?

Yes. That’s what I use. Big screen Roku TV, 32”TCL with Roku system, & Roku 4K stick on cheap Insignia 32” all work fine. You just have to check your specific TV to see which remote buttons to use for FF, etc. as mine are all different. Some, it’s just the right selector button, others it’s holding down the FF button, another one it’s holding down the play/pause button. Mine takes a few seconds of holding down the button to see the progress bar. On all my TV’s it will show up at the bottom when you’re trying to FF or Reverse. But, it’s not on all the time.

This I know. They also had Brock ranked above Carthage. And the DCTF Computer AI algorithm that everyone loves had them 3 pts better. Point is they play on the field for a reason. Nobody laying down and taking it from Carthage this week. It will be game.

We are another family that pulls for everyone in the 409. We went to the PA game last week after our win over Midlothian Heritage as we wanted to cheer for the Titans. Probably 530 if I had to guess. That’s how lucky OF gets with every realignment for the last 8 years. I can usually tell you what the cutoff for 3A will be according to whatever number OF reports. It’s usually 1-3 kids above their number. 😂
