If you tax imports on stuff we can’t make (bananas, coffee) what do you think happens? Two things. Pay more, or quit using them. Fifth grade math, dude.

  11. I love the dozen even more after you putting it like that… cause if you did 8 6A/5A split and 2A/1A split 1/3 of the area teams are ranked in those classifications… granted 1/3 of the areas 6A/5A/4A will be ranked on Dirty Dozen but holds more weight IMO.

  12. You would think the "We got him this time" would be dead by this point. Jon Stewart said it best when he said Democrats are like the Coyote, and right when Democrats think the have him, Trump says "beep beep" 🤣

  20. You folks keep talking about the "50". I believe you are clueless about the "50" and "defenses" in general. WOS has a great defense and utilizes their personnel well.

  25. I rarely say things like this, but LP coaches gave them the win on a silver platter. I feel sorry for the players. I always thought last year's LP team was a little better than this years. But, this year's team should have at least made a couple of rounds. This game was a clear case of coaches screwing up, and not adjusting. It couldn't be any clearer between the halves. I have to give credit to the Weiss staff and players though. They did what they needed to do.

  26. You already do via guaranteed emergency care to all. That part is a social contract we all make. If the Reps don't get off all these social issues like making THC illegal, trans stuff, and other niche things that aren't directly related to AFFORDABILITY, they're gonna' get their doors blown off at the midterms.

  27. Actually, you must not really know how it works because the individuals don’t get the subsidies. Subsidies go directly to the insurance companies. They have no incentive to lower costs any more than universities. Now, if some type of tax credit were given directly to the individual, allow them to truly shop around, and only stipulate that all policies must cover preexisting conditions, then we’d have something a little more workable. The insurance companies would actually have to compete a little, and prices may come down via the competition. Eventually, competition may put an end to the subsidies altogether—although doubtful.

  30. PAM just might become a honorary District 12 member. A&M, then potentially CS, and Weiss. Make it through those teams and your reward is the defending champs SV then State. Earning it from here!

AI Overview Increasing tariffs is widely considered a bad idea by most economists , as it can lead to higher consumer prices, reduced economic growth, and a loss of jobs, according to Brookings, NPR, and The Century Foundation. Tariffs are regressive, disproportionately harming low-income households, and can hurt domestic businesses that rely on imported goods, says PBS and this NPR article. While some argue tariffs can protect specific domestic industries, this often comes at the cost of efficiency and can lead to retaliation from other countries, notes Georgia State University News. Potential drawbacks Higher prices for consumers: Companies often pass the cost of tariffs on to customers, leading to higher prices for goods. Reduced efficiency: Tariffs can create inefficiencies for the protected industries and for the supply chain partners they depend on. Retaliation: Other countries may respond by imposing their own tariffs on a nation's exports, which can harm those export-oriented industries. Decreased innovation: Protecting industries from competition can sometimes reduce the incentive to innovate and improve. Potential for economic harm: In the long run, tariffs could potentially lead to a decline in a country's overall production.

  35. I've asked this before Why would our defense give up 41 points.? The (Robinson) have a fast-running back who is hard to bring down just like we have. They like to throw so that means their QB has had lots of time to throw. I never bet against The Mustangs before the game is played JMO that's not the Mustang way.
