It would be funny to see a 27 point favorite field storm. As I recall, Ned was a 21 point dog last year.3 points

My point about the local TV stations making this their GOW. There are 4-5 other games this week that have more riding on it than this game.2 points -
Sounds like the rumor I was told by a Nederland parent that Buckstin got city approval to add temporary seating on Boston Ave for all the Nederland fans that leave by halftime and need a place to cry about the refs and hearing Cherokee so many times.2 points

I think I made a boo-boo, but I am going to ride it out. If I don't take any risks, I will never catch up. On the contrary, miss a few risky games and my season is over and it's back to being just an oilfield guy. Oh well1 point -

I understand your stance, and I have seen others say we need to get a dose of communism every now and then to show a new generation how it doesn’t work. My hopes are that it’s survivable. Some of the things Mamdani is suggesting could be catastrophic. The biggest problem is that, when you have a generation or two, who can’t tell you how many dimes in a dollar, they won’t even know what hit them till it’s maybe too late.1 point -
Trump sends money to Argentina
baddog reacted to thetragichippy for a topic
He sued them before he was elected. His attorneys will tell him to table it, and resume it after he leaves office. There is enough evidence just in the Mueller report and what was found that they knew there was no Russian interference, yet continued to pursue him to make an excellent case......and by the end of his term, they will find more.1 point -
But it is connected to TDS which makes any thread a playground for the left to whine about Trump.1 point

You should really research before posting. Millions were not given due process but no fake outrage or protests. Unbelievable! Google search: It is not true that everyone deported under the Obama administration received due process . While the administration deported millions through formal court proceedings, it was heavily criticized by civil rights groups for its extensive use of "fast-track" or "expedited removal" processes that denied many individuals a fair hearing. Key issues regarding due process during the Obama administration included: Expedited removal: This process allows immigration officers to deport individuals without a court hearing under certain conditions, such as being apprehended within 100 miles of the border and within two weeks of arrival. The Obama administration used and expanded these fast-track removals, which led to many people being deported without a chance to see an immigration judge. "Rocket dockets": These expedited immigration court hearings for mothers and children arriving from Central America were also criticized for rushing cases. An NBC News report found that the speed of the dockets limited the ability of vulnerable asylum seekers to find legal representation and prepare their cases. Limited access to counsel: Unlike criminal proceedings, immigrants facing deportation are not guaranteed a government-provided attorney. Many individuals, including children, went through immigration proceedings without legal representation, which experts said made it nearly impossible to have a fair hearing. Deportation of asylum-seekers: In some cases, the administration was accused of deporting asylum-seekers without proper oversight from federal courts, a practice that civil rights groups challenged as unconstitutional. Focus on speed over fairness: Organizations like the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)argued that the administration's focus on achieving high deportation numbers led to a system that sacrificed fairness and individualized due process. It is important to note that the Obama administration's record on deportations was complex, with different policies for prioritizing who would be removed. However, human rights organizations and legal experts consistently raised concerns that the scale and speed of deportations often came at the expense of proper due process for many individuals1 point

Trump sends money to Argentina

Some of the TDS in this forum is insane. Since when is it a bad idea to have allies? I remember when Trump made history being the first President to walk into North Korea. The media and his haters thought he was crazy.....we don't negotiate with terrorist.....but here we are in his second term and he had negotiated 7 cease fires........but the TDS folks are complaining because he is adding on to the East wing with his own money plus donors......1 point -

No, not Cuba, but I would say we replaced the Taliban, which regained control when Biden pulled out. Probably was behind Assad in Syria’s downfall. I would say we have probably had influence on lots of countries. Took out Noriega of Panama. Maduro in Venezuela has numbered days IMO. Hezbollah has set up shop there and Trump ain’t having none of that. He’s not building our military presence in the Caribbean as a chess move. My post above was sarcasm. Had a failed invasion of Cuba called the Bay of Pigs. Then came the Cuban Missile Crisis. I was just a 9 year old kid, but I remember the school drills.1 point -

According to someone I know who called PayK12…there’s not enough tickets left to fill the duplicates that were sold and the solution with agreement from NISD was to contact those affected in order by timestamp on original purchase and when they run out of tickets, all others will get a refund…not acceptable! Sorry, I just think NISD has some fault in this and should’ve figured out a way to accommodate everyone who purchased tickets because there were TONS of issues with PayK12 last time the game was at Nederland so they had TWO years to prepare or switch to a service that could handle the traffic but THEY chose not to!!1 point -

If PNG wins, it's just meh; if they lose it's a slap in the face. Ned has nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Expect offensive trickery, defensive stunts, and never give up attitude. A fumble here, an interception there, a blocked punt, a bad (or good) penalty call or two, and you never know. Like 2 brothers, (or 2 sisters), 1 year apart in age, in a fight. You never know. Otherwise, if it was any other game, PNG wins easily.1 point -
Shows you the kind of money wasted on frivolous trials. How much for the Mueller investigation which produced absolutely nothing. Trump should send that money to Argentina.0 points
