  2. But the hype is stating that Tylenol causes Autism. That simply isn't the case. How do I know this? Because my wife never took Tylenol while pregnant yet my youngest son has Autism. The rise in Autism is because now we are able to diagnose it much better and sooner than we have ever have. Back in the day, folks didn't know what it was and simply misdiagnosed. My son was diagnosed as a 2 year old. We were first alerted by a school developmental specialist based on his behavior and skill set. She recommended us to a developmental psychologist and through some testing was then diagnosed. I just think this is being blown out of proportion and Trump needs to be able to point a finger. There are several drugs that women shouldn't take while pregnant. This just seems like a witch hunt. If we are going to reach for causes of Autism, then the first thing to look at is the amounts of mercury in vaccinations. I believe there is more substance to that claim than Tylenol. My wife and I never really got into the "what caused this" thing. Yes we asked questions but that was just briefly. After coming to grips with the diagnose (and that took some time) we then went into how do we manage this and what can we do to help our son. Took a lot of growing pains, some setbacks and personal struggles. But in the end, we believe we did the best we could and our son is striving as a 30 year old adult with Autism. Best thing we were ever told when we were dealing with all this was something a friend said to us at a grocery store. We were talking to her about our son and how we were struggling with all that comes with Autism. She said to us and I quote. "You guys will do just fine. God chose you two to be Reid's parents. He knows that you guys are the perfect parents for him. It is not a curse, it's a blessing to be his parents." That stuck with us till this day. IMO, there is no real root cause to Autism.

I'll pass. Although, I never watched anyway. But, I sure wouldn't give him the satisfaction now. I can read about it Wednesday without propping up his ratings.

  4. 1953: "There is no proof that cigarette smoking is one of the causes of lung cancer." 1964: "We don't accept the idea that there are harmful agents in tobacco" So here is my take - I have no hatred for anyone that exceeds the love for my child. If Tylenol MIGHT cause autism in an unborn child, even a .0000001% chance, I would not take Tylenol unless absolutely necessary. I know the mother of my child would agree, as she changed her diet, got off all unnecessary meds and would not even have a glass of wine with a meal. So it blows me away this is news.....it is a recommendation and true or not, SOMETHING is causing the rise of autism...... WHY TAKE THE RISK [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]

  6. Blessings are where we look for them. I definitely understand the challenges. I also understand the simple joys. I’ve always thought that things don’t happen TO us. They happen FOR us. You sound like a good man. A blessing indeed.

  10. First District game for both squads. Friendswood comes in at 2-1 and averaging almost 37 ppg while only giving up 16 ppg. After losing their first game against Fort Bend Marshall, they've reeled off two very impressive wins over Willowridge and Galveston Ball. Friendswood is ranked #9 in GHA by Vype. La Porte also comes in at 2-1 after a tough loss to an excellent PN-G squad at home for their first loss at Bulldog. La Porte is averaging 30 ppg while giving up 31 ppg. The Bulldogs are ranked #4 in GHA by Vype. Both teams are expected to compete for a PO spot out of 11-5A D1, and this game could have seeding implications right out of the gate. Friendswood always plays LP tough. This game should be no different. Who do you have taking this matchup?

  15. Don't underestimate Friendswood. They have been impressive so far. In their only loss to FB Marshall, they outgained Marshall and the only reason they lost was they had a fumble and a blocked punt returned for TDs. They beat Ball by more points than Manvel did. Their game against Willowridge they were leading 48-7 at the half. Their forte seems to be run defense. They held Marshall to 21 carries for 50 yds (2.4 y/c) and Ball to 49 yds on 22 carries (2.2 y/c). La Porte should win, but it won't be easy.

  17. My grandson has been diagnosed with Autism. He just turned 3. My DIL took Tylenol during pregnancy for her migraines. I don’t think that is what’s responsible. Tylenol is a brand name and Trump shouldn’t use that term. Acetaminophen is the active ingredient. Had an old girlfriend who was allergic to it. She would break out in hives. There are other remedies that use Acetaminophen for pain. Like Aggie said, I will adjust. Humans are good at adapting. I wouldn’t trade Leo for anything in the world.

  18. This I agree but disagree due to the first quote as well as some other factors related to diet. been working with autism students for 20 years. due to advances we have been able to diagnose this a lil more accurately but in the same breath the numbers have also increased due to factors mentioned. what we put in our body does matter for short term and long term (generations).

True. Still, if he were to be cancelled, I’d prefer it be the old-fashioned way. Can the show because it stinks. Although, I do very much like the idea of local affiliates taking over the power of choice in programming.

  32. The conditions that need to be met for BU to get an upset here… 1. Sustained offensive drives. (No 3 and outs) Our defensive is good enough to slow the PA offense down if not worn out. 2. Force PA to throw the ball at least 2/3rds of the time. That’s their 1 offensive weakness. I’d be comfortable with us causing a turnover there. 3. No forcing anything from the QB. Find the OPEN wr. Weeks past he’ll miss wide open players and throw to a main guy who’s covered. 4. If no one’s open, throw it away or run. No interceptions thrown. 5. No fair catching in special teams. Catch it and go. We’ve returned a 100+ kickoff for a TD this year and have some great athletes on special teams. Win the field position battle.

  33. This will be Hardins first real challenge this year. Orangefield goes up by 2 touchdown in the first. Starts trying to run up the middle to run the clock. It doesnt work Hardin gets the ball in good field position ties it up before the half 14-14 before the half. Hardin score early in the third for the go ahead 21-14 Orangefield wakes up and doesn’t look back 42-21 Orangefield. Or since it’s district Orangefield just walks away with it from the get go 35-10
