Praise the Lord. With every resource available to literally every single coaching staff in existence, it's blatantly obvious that the WV coaching staff ditched all of those and finally reached out to the setxsports fan forum for some actual advice. Anyone that says that the very conversations had on this site along with reverting back to the ultra success of youth football weren't completely responsible for this win, then they are a liar. I even have it on good authority that there was actually a peewee coach in the press box with headsets.. giving the entire staff personnel suggestions. Thank goodness. One can only hope that the WV head coach will continue to lean heavily on the words spoken in this very website... as anyone with a brain knows that this is the gospel in terms of football knowledge.

I could “what if” this game to death. If the game was watched, everyone knows what happened. Reminding Cowboys fans of what occurred seems redundant. My assessment, as a lifelong Cowboys fan, is the Cowboys played better than what I was expecting. 0-17 is what eternal doubters say, not true fans. Dak was putting the ball on the money and the running game was awesome. Defense held the Eagles to a FG in the 2nd half. Not an easy accomplishment. I’m optimistic that this team can make the playoffs and will improve. Lots of positives for fans to take from this game. Just think, half the teams lose their first game of the season……..and every week. Lmao

I can see some reasoning behind the thought but it would be one more gun law that would be difficult to verify at application and impossible to enforce.

If you file a lawsuit right now, you'd be the first person to win vs the UIL under the current format. The best you could hope for is an injunction/restraining order to stall out the process which could take multiple years to play out through appeals etc. What typically happens as what happened w/Anthony Black at Duncanville is they got a restraining order on the UIL ruling, by the time the courts heard the case Black had graduated so it got thrown by the courts as it was moot and dismissed the restraining order [Hidden Content] Then the UIL went back and retoractively punished Duncanville for playing Black during that time and banned them from the playoffs for the next year and suspended the coach for a year....so most schools know this now and would simply choose not to play the kid until a court made a final ruling...best hope would also be federal court, odds aren't good beating the UIL in a state court...just calling it like it is there Even if you had a perfect storm of a freshman kid being ruled ineligible and he had enough HS years left to fight it...he'd be eligible after 365 days....would his/her parents want to continue spending the money and fighting the UIL when the kid is now eligible? It's not like you get that year back, so would the juice (or money) be worth the squeeze

BTW, was on Woodville sideline in 2nd half. Had a conversation or two. Let's just say some laughs were shared. Seems I have a fan club. LOL

Woodville offense really came on in 2nd half. Anahuac had lot's of issues slowing down the Eagle passing game. Babin was very sharp. Oline did a good job of pass protection in 2nd half. RB was a load as well. Anahuac started out well, but Woodville definitely made some adjustments to slow down the Panther offense. All in all a good overall game. I think this just shows how good a team Orangefield really is.

For me, I would have liked to see Blue run the ball, being a Texas fan I’m a little biased, but what the heck. That guy can move. He would have scored on that breakaway run. No one would have caught him. I really liked the fact that 3rd and 2 wasn’t always a passing down for Dallas. Dallas has a lot of new players, new coaches, and played the defending champs to the wire in their 1st game. I see no reason not to be optimistic for playoffs, and that’s being realistic.

Is it any different than Blacks feeling responsible for slavery since most slaves were captured and sold by other Blacks in Africa? @AggiesAreWe hope this doesn’t count… IF you’d told me the biggest deciding factor in this game would be CeeDee Lamb having cinder blocks for hands, I would’ve never believed it. The cowboys have played a really good game. Dak has been very good, the running game was decent, and the defense was excellent after halftime. I assumed we’d lose, but not because Lamb would drop 4 crucial passes, with the first 3 being ones he absolutely should’ve caught.

Way to prevail Eagles! Good win against a much improved Manvel team. I thought Barrier looked much more in control tonight, than last week. I know getting reps under fire will do that; and the young man can spin that ball! Again though, I’m perplexed that we can’t seem to match adjustments the opponents are making. This is gonna be a deadly trend in district if we can’t figure that piece out. …and for crying out loud, you have just been gashed the whole 2nd half, and your offense has gone stale and not moving the ball very well, so you double down and decide to play uber conservative with 8 minutes. Liberty Hill was 9-3 last yr..finished 2nd in their district and lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs...they were outta the top ten most of the second half of 2024....they also got beat last week 45-10
