  3. SOC is right next to Lancaster, DeSoto and Duncanville, really good talent that may not get the same playing time in 6A, they just move in and compete well in 5A DII. As everyone else has stated, that's been going on in DFW a long time. UIL can't keep up with any of it.

According to the article it’s not the score but a campus that has had an F for 5 consecutive years. It was more like 8-9 years but they got the covid exemption. So for almost a decade they have a school not meeting the minimum standard.

    Putin steamrolls Trump

Speaking with Fox & Friends Tuesday morning about his efforts to negotiate a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia, the president claimed that he had settled seven wars. I’ve solved seven wars. We ended seven wars,” Trump said “I thought this would be one of the easier ones, and this has turned out to be the toughest one.” India, Pakistan, these were big ones, also. All big ones. And some going for 31, 32 years. One for 35 years,” he continued. “I got them all done. But this one is the one that is the most difficult, and I thought it would be an easy one. I hope President [Vladimir] Putin is gonna be good, and if he’s not it’s going to be a rough situation. And I hope that President [Volodymyr] Zelenskiy will do what he has to do. He has to show some flexibility also. The thing is a mess.” I’ll have two of what ever this con man is drinking. 😂 Dementia is real. He is declining fast. Time for the autopen. Midterms are coming.

  21. You put enough stipulations on who you'll accept then it doesn't matter how many kids are drawn. If they're required to meet certain academic/behavior standards and live out of district, you can say no to every one of them.

  22. Greg Tepper just blew off Lufkin after Stepp made a comment about them. Tepper just smiled and didn't say a single word before jumping on the PAM bandwagon. Which I agree should be head and shoulders above the rest of 9-5A. Tepper remembers giving Lufkin big props in 2018 and 2019 with some high rankings only for Lufkin to bow out in the 2nd round and 1st round at home respectively those years. Tepp has never been the same about Lufkin, doesn't matter they have new Coach Abseck. Tepp is not a fan, Stepp knows more about East Texas football.

  23. To all you Trump haters…..Trump is trying his best to end this war, but when both sides don’t want to give in, it’s almost hopeless. Trump cannot be blamed for this, but I’m sure you will blame him anyway. [Hidden Content]

  24. I love your perspective. Moving them from downtown to your neighborhood makes matters worse. Place them in a recovery camp like they do immigration. A Camp that provides rap around services and teaches VT or culinary arts etc. The same thought process that went into housing immigration should have been applied to homelessness and not a knee jerk reaction. We lock them up but that only clogs up the courts and two are three days later they are back on the streets. Don’t let me start on mental heath. I have EPC mental health patients and brought them to the hospital. The hospital released them 24 hours later because DSS refuses to open a case. They have no more funding and the state of South Carolina has only 20 beds available. If you have health insurance you can be placed into a mental health facility and or a drug facility. I continue to do my part. If you are homeless depressed and want off drugs I get you help through Life Changers Out Reach which is a 12 month program the covers food housing and programs. It is faith based so you will study the Bible and attend classes. You have a roof over your head and you are surrounded by people that will show you kindness and leadership. It may seem like I’m dumping on other states but it’s the only tool I have right now to combat homelessness and drug addiction for someone who wants change.

Saw this statement on X. I tend to agree with it. About time to relieve the stress and just see how the Astros baseball season is going to wind up--good or bad--and accept their fate. Injuries have decimated and the long season has ground them down

  27. A peroosal(sp) of the demographics of each DISD school would say otherwise. If you watched the SOC doc, the kids at the time had to walk out to get upgrades in facilities. Those kids and teachers sacrifice to create the SOC you see today......

All bets are off if the court rules Trump can’t impose tariffs in the manner he has used. I’d expect that decision to come out by mid to late next month. Also, I’m FIRMLY against the Trump Administration looking to take a 10% stake in Intel. This is no better than Soylndra, or any other ‘too big to fail’ venture. This is a form of socialism/communism, and shouldn’t even be on the table. We’ve (Biden Admin) already given Intel over $10 Billion, and they’ve done nothing. The government has no business using our money to take a stakeholder position in any company. Very disappointed in him even contemplating this fiasco.

    Economy

Many things affect prices. Wages, government spending, disease among crops/livestock/poultry, weather, war, energy, tariffs… Inflation is never caused by a single item problem. The current tariffs aren’t effecting prices at this time. This is a shell game being played by producers/sellers to squeeze a little more profit, and a general excuse for poor company performance. Good management teams are doing just fine as the markets attest. Tariff costs will hit. But, mainly Brazil. The others are already incorporated into costs. The effective, all-inclusive tariff rate is about 13-15%. Producers are basically absorbing the 10%. With the passage of the BBB, real wage increases (increases minus inflation) should wind up around $3500-$10k/yr. for the average family making ~$70k/year. Obviously, those not paying income tax now will have minimal benefit. That’s where increased medical costs may hurt them. Medical costs will need to be addressed, or there will be major sticker shock. I’d expect produce, coffee, chocolate, and beef all to rise in price. But beef is as much due to the screwworm invasion, drought, and low domestic cattle numbers as it is tariffs on Brazil. We only import 20% of our beef from Brazil. Shelf stable items should remain about the same as what they are currently. I still expect a 50 basis point cut by the Fed in September. I could be wrong. But, they’re behind the 8 ball as I mentioned earlier.

We don't want 0%. 2%-2.5% is the target inflation. Trump has reduced Bidens hyperinflation from 9% down to his 2.7%. Still a tiny bit of work to do but it came WAY down from Biden. Gas is very cheap for summer driving too. It normally goes way up but it did not this summer. Yeah, Trump did that!

  41. About time. All inactive TS clearances should be reviewed for need & access. All active TS clearances for separated personnel should be rechecked—including their digital footprint, and all the way down to their third sister’s aunt’s adopted cat. Check the shelter and microchip as well. This stuff has been ridiculous. I had to turn mine in upon separation. That’s the way it should be for all. Expediency/cost be damned.

You're correct - PARENTS are most of it. My Son tried to be a comedian in I believe 2nd grade. We had a teacher parent meeting and I asked the teacher where do I sign to allow paddling. My Son looked at me with eyes wide open. They said they used a treadmill, not a paddle - I told them to call me when he gets on the treadmill and I'm come with the paddle for after...... I never got a call again.....he was an angel lol You have to be involved as a parent.....

Military strategists are not needed. Negotiators are. Why do you want this war stopped. You said nothing when Biden escalated it by supplying $billions and equipment, causing the deaths of millions of civilians, but Trump says he will end it on day one and Now you want it stopped. Why? I’ll tell you why…..FAKE OUTRAGE.

    This Board Needs....

We stopped at Buc-ee’s just to “use the bathroom real quick.” Rookie mistake. Twenty minutes later… I’m pushing a cart (WHY do they even have carts at a gas station??), my toddler is licking a 3-pound bag of gummy worms, My husband is talking to a complete stranger about beef jerky like it’s a fine wine tasting, and I’m somehow Standing there with a cart full of fudge, a brisket sandwich the size of my face., matching family Buc-ee’s shirts, and a cast iron skillet I absolutely did NOT need The baby has a whole new wardrobe and is now chewing on a Buc-ee’s spatula like a teether The 5-year-old has a beaver plushie the size of a Golden Retriever. And I’m $300 poorer wondering how the heck we just left a GAS STATION with more stuff than I got at Target last week. Buc-ee’s isn’t a gas station. It’s a full-blown amusement park disguised as a bathroom break. And we fall for it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Send help. And wet wipes. And maybe another brisket taco.
