  1. I’m probably the only one this fascinates but there are no subjects on this website that move the needle more than WOS football and Silsbee basketball. Good luck Coach Brown!

So Woodville hires the Elgin head Coach who comes from a 5A2 school to a 3A2 school. Not saying that is bad but seems a little odd. Looks like a good hire. Welcome Heath Clawson.

  3. Very similar. Worse for Hickman though, he was replacing back-to-back Hall of Fame coaches. But replacing any HOF coach has got to be tough, and Sigler is a lock for that. Good news for Coach Brown is he will have two of the best assistants you can find sitting beside him.

  4. So, if that is stopped by this bill that would be a cut/savings - waste, fraud and abuse……. looks like you support the bill….unless you support doctors abusing the system

  5. The abuse is able-bodied adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s choosing not to work so they can suck off the government teat. The amazing thing is that for a long time those same folks could get income tax returns of up to $10,000. Another common fraud is filing for benefits as head of household as a “single mother” when the father lives in the house. I saw that multiple times every year when I worked in Beaumont. That said, you’re absolutely right that there is plenty of fraud perpetrated by providers. If the visit is free for the patient, do they ever really pay attention to what services the office is charging to Medicaid?

  6. I'm not saying you are. But you have to understand from my point that when the government starts talking about making cuts to programs that benefit folks like my son, I get a little worried. The government has thrown the baby out with the bath water on some occasions. That's all I am saying.

  7. Decreased funds are fine if you make an effort to stop fraud and abuse. Due to my work I’m more than familiar with how many people who receive benefits who shouldn’t.

2-1 win over Seattle. Hader now 13 for 13 in saves. Framber with another quality start and the win.

I get it. Wins and losses is all that matters. But I post the stats to show that if a team continues to be top 5 in hitting and top 5 in pitching in their league (also the only team in their division that can say that) then over a 162 game season, that kind of play will end up winning the West Division. Houston also has the best run differential in their division. Right now, the Astros just can't string wins together for whatever reason. I just think in time, this current play will pay off and get enough wins to win the division. Now if Houston was playing in the other two divisions, they definitely would need to up their game some to make playoffs.

    Does Anybody Comprehend

…..how much money this actually is? I have trouble putting it perspective. The best way for me is…..if you count from 1 to a billion, it would take something like 32 years. This amount of money would take 4.7 THOUSAND times longer. Very mind boggling. [Hidden Content]

  16. Yep I saw UTRGV and SELA on the bubble. HCU went through the tournament without a loss after the weekend they were bombed at Lamar with 2 10-run rule games. Interesting season though. It is kind of nice to have so many highly rated teams in our conference.

Well, Altuve made a liar out of me. I said he’s not a left fielder because he doesn’t have the arm. Tonight he gunned a runner down at home. The runner was slow, but the throw was on the money. Still like him better at 2nd.

  20. Agree. Not on Medicaid. But, Trump’s attempts to do away with ACA his first term—with no replacement—still have me worried. No one would cover my wife without the protections offered by ACA. Granted, her Parkinson’s Plus is untreatable & incurable at this time. But, Botox shots help with the paralysis/palsy & she is at higher risk for other issues that may need coverage. We pay over $2600/mo. for the privilege of having insurance cards. Still have high deductibles & co-pays. But, we’re not allowed to have a catastrophic plan by law. We do get a little of it back at tax time.

  23. Talk about a pot calling the kettle black. Look at your post, man. You dismissed the 14 year old bed bound because of child labor laws, not his disability. Follow your cheap shot logically, and a 30 disabled person not bound by child labor laws should work. Build a better argument if you don’t like getting called out.

Where do you come up with this stuff? Do you understand what negligence and omission mean? In this case the kids were presented with do something that was supposedly fun from TikTok or something not fun. That is pressure. Allegedly, the coach also pressured them verbally after some were wanting to stop. This has nothing to do with me. Why are law enforcement and the DA investigating? With no potential for an offense? BTW, you struggle with making up stuff on all of these threads.

Texas 22.041(c) (c) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, recklessly, or with criminal negligence, by act or omission, engages in conduct that places a child, elderly individual, or disabled individual in imminent danger of death, bodily injury, or physical or mental impairment. Texas Penal Code 6.03(d) A person acts with criminal negligence, or is criminally negligent, with respect to circumstances surrounding his conduct or the result of his conduct when he ought to be aware of a substantial and unjustifiable risk that the circumstances exist or the result will occur. The risk must be of such a nature and degree that the failure to perceive it constitutes a gross deviation from the standard of care that an ordinary person would exercise under all the circumstances as viewed from the actor's standpoint.

Mr Falcon has done nothing more than address your questions. The question was asked previously was “what could he potentially be charged with”. The answer was “child endangerment”. You are somehow stuck on the fact that the incident is “unintentional”, intention is not required for child endangerment to be applied. There is a criminal investigation going and is not being conducted by “Mr Falcon” but instead by law enforcement and the DA. He may or may not face charges but myself and many others will not be surprised if he does.

  29. My 30 year old autistic son is on Medicaid due to his disability. Are you suggesting he get a job to support himself? I understand there is some abuse going on with these benefits but there are some people that need these benefits desperately.

  32. He should go to a school he either A. Is in the attendance zone B. Has already established residency ( like silsbee) C. If he goes to a school with open enrollment and doesn’t live in the attendance zone sit out the required year. You know follow the same UIL rules that everyone else is supposed to be following. By all means he should do what him and his parents feel is best for him, but with that being said if he is going to play at a UIL school it should be in accordance with UIL rules.

    WO-S 2025

Yes the Evadale tourney was 5-0 playing down to lower classifications. As I've said before I think this is part of the plan. We'll be 3A1 soon and the drop could let us back in the conversation. Although we'll continue to be out coached by teams with less talent and more discipline. Nothing to see here... carry on 🧢🥁🏳
