And, then, the OC forgot about him for six or seven games. He is tall and mobile. Given him some throws. I'd spread him out and see if the LBs move out with him. Right now, teams are stacking eight and nine defenders in the box. Our OC does nothing to change the numbers game.

Not talking about teams getting ready for Dallas, but convenience for fans in the eastern part of the state. UIL knows that Dallas Fans will not travel the way some of the other regions fans will. So UIL logic dictates...poor Dallas Area Fans, there is no reason to make them travel, so let's punish all the teams whose fans who are willing to support their teams by traveling. Sure the fans would appreciate a short trip for their State Championship football game, but we don't have to care about them. Remember the fans are the reason schools can afford to have a high school football program. How about we take care of the fans, for a change, & rotate out the State Championship Games between Houston & Dallas.

La Porte will need to play LP ball. Pound it, pound it, and pound it some more. Keep #3 & #18 on the sideline. Not sure the D will be able to keep the air game of Anderson out of the end zone. So, use what seems to be (on video) superior depth and physicality to wear down the Trojans. I think Anderson will have a tough time stopping the Dawg rushing attack if LP plays error free ball. Just too many options to find the ‘hot hand’ so to speak. The ability to bring in fresh RB’s all game long is tough on a D after being pounded on all game long. D-wise, LP needs to wrap up and protect against the big pass play. Don’t let Anderson’s receivers get behind them. They do have speed, and LP’s pass defense isn’t their strength. They’ll need to pressure #3, and force him into errors. Massey & Calpreps have La Porte by 7. If LP plays clean, I could see it being much more than that. I’m going out on a limb with LP 42-21. after predicting a 4th place finish(being in this region really didn't matter what place) imo, the only team that will send PAM home are themselves. with the way the bracket is set up, THERE IS NO REASON THEY CAN'T GO 3-4 RDS!!. The state championship should be played in Houston and Dallas changing every year or 2. I think that's fair to both sets of fans traveling from the Houston area.

For the Nederland fans, I will give you the Texas High report. The game will be decided on the field and not on message boards. In my opinion, this is the best Tiger team since they won state in 2002. As mentioned earlier they have a well balanced offense that is 50/50 between pass and run. David Potter, QB, makes good decisions and has only thrown 1 INT. He holds an offer from SMU. The running attack is three headed. Javari Johnson (SR), starts at RB and has committed to SFA over 8 D1 offers. Tradarian Ball (JR) is the crown jewel of the offense. 247Sports ranks him as the #2 RB in next year’s class and #46 overall nationally. He has committed to Oregon. When he is not spelling Johnson, he is a receiver. The #3 RB is Ahmad Moore (JR). His yards have come primarily with 2nd team, but I don’t see a huge drop off when he is on the field. The receivers to the passing attack is not focused on one individual. The line has provided good pass protection and opening holes for the run. The defense has given up some points, but are solid. I would say their strength is their secondary. Overall they have very good team speed. As a retired visiting coach related after they watched Texas High … “ They have athletes all over the field”. Grim can be a difficult venue for opponents, especially after a 5 hour bus ride. Looking forward to Friday and safe travels to the Nederland fans.
