At this juncture, I’m very PROUD of MidCounty. Honestly, I could care less about seeding and placement in the district. I’ll be supporting both Nederland and PNG through the playoffs. These young men from BOTH teams play their hearts out for our enjoyment and excitement every Friday night. Prayers for both teams for injury free games for the rest of the season. I know it can be fun with the pokes and jabs in our comments. At the end of the day, regardless which team you support, MidCounty has done each and everyone of us PROUD! God Bless🙏

I know I can’t keep up with the gurus on here. Ned/PNG is over by over a week. Need to focus on the future. Here’s the way I see it. Start of season, focus on DC. If that’s not in the cards, make the playoffs. To me, seeding is only good for the first round, because on paper, the lesser team should be gone…..on paper. Here’s a scenario. Let’s say Nederland gets the top seed, our bi-district opponent will be #4 seed from another district. So we “dodged the dreaded #1 seed matchup. Woooooo. Sooner or later, should Nederland keep advancing, they are going to meet that #1 seed or a team of equal or higher caliber. So what difference does it really make….NONE. Simply tighten your chin straps and play football. Whatever happens, happens. Good luck to all teams in our district. Lamar1996, could you please post something with at least a 4th grade mentality?

Winner gets 2nd and a Weiss team, Loser gets third and a College Station team. Loser of this game will be a heavy underdog going into their playoff matchup, Winner is likely a very slight favorite. Crosby has not shown they can beat a team like Angleton a win this week would be a coup. Angleton is a pretty heavy favorite given these two teams performances against LP. In all honesty I think Angleton is what Crosby would be if we could throw the ball, but we aren't able to do that consistently and that's why teams get to stack 9 in the box every week. 35-7 Angleton.

As far as the highways, some ideas such as the interstate highway act make sense, even though the states could probably maintain them better if allowed to keep the money rather than funnel it through our very corrupt federal government. This general welfare you speak of has promoted poverty and modern day slavery by design with your pathetic party at the helm passing out crumbs in exchange for votes.

How about a correction from the top down. The last three corrections whacked the middle class and rewarded the 1%. Tax the top, cut the military budget back to where we’re maybe bigger than the next 5 countries instead of 10. Streamline the bureaucracy and we’ll be close to reestablishing the middle class and building true long term growth.

I am a retired coach also, i hope this doesn't make my point invalid because i don't have 2 State Championships, only a couple of district championships, but from where I was sitting it looked liked the runner got in on the first or second try, which was missed by the official. It should have never got to 4th down. I am sure you couldn't see that looking through those rose colored glasses. As a retired coach, especially one with 2 State Championships, I am really surprised you decided to take this up on a message board.

It has been a bad year for referees all year long. For and against our team as well. Unfortunately referees are human, mistakes are made. As fans it will burn your butt when the call goes against you. As Christians we must forgive and move on. If life was perfect no high school football would ever be played. Remember, they are just boys playing a game, and boys make are sometimes going to make mistakes as well. Hoping the Bears, and the referees move forward with blessings of focus and peace.

Reports of the sky falling in Nederland are greatly exaggerated. I was very impressed with Huntsville and we went toe to toe with them for 4 quarters. We got beat by a very good team last night and are 5-1 in district with a win against our arch rival on their home field and avenged a 48 point playoff loss last year, too. The Dogs control their own destiny next week in Montgomery. Fact of the matter, there are 5 really good teams in this district that can beat each other on any given night. Before the season started if anyone would have told us Ned fans that we’d be playing for the district title in the final week of the season, I think we’d be pretty happy with that! Let’s go Dogs!

I’m telling you, it’s going to be a too big to rig victory for Harris/Walz. The rallies of his I watch are so low energy they almost need life support. Their ground machine is running on the rims while the Democratic machine is as organized as it’s ever been.
