Who do you want them to play Katy High school, North Shore, and Atascocita? You must not be from around here if you think that Nederland hasn't played anyone for non district.

It's going to be incredible when Orangefield shows up in their new Oopty Oop offense, and Coldsring wipes the floor with them running the hated Slot T. LOL

It's all about travel. Lufkin is on an island in 5A DI. I completely understand why Lufkin wanted out of District 8 and into District 9. Average travel time was 3 hours to district 8. 2 hours to district 9. But I also understand why the teams in district 9 wanted no part of Lufkin. It increased their travel time by an hour on average. (at least for that game) Personally, I think Lufkin should be added to District 9.

Just about every 1A basketball district in the state are 7-8 team districts. [Hidden Content] I like larger districts. I don't like 4-6 team districts when 4 teams go to playoffs. A team should have to win more district games than they lose to qualify for playoffs. That's not the case sometimes in smaller size districts.

If you would spend 5 minutes with Neuman you would understand why he was successful. Motivativator. Kids would run through a brick wall for him. Plus he had Delbert Spell on defense and Monte on offense. He knew what position the guys needed to be and when to press the button. I was about to ask the same question. I would also like to know what you would do differently with the program? Considering they went from 2-5 from last year in district to 4-3 and made the playoffs. And not to mention scored a lot more points this year.

I just now googled Splendora. It's in between Patton Village and Midline, south of Cleveland, in case anyone else besides me was wondering. It boasts a small restaurant called Puebloritaville that looks interesting. Looking at photos of the stadium there, the home side looks big enough to accommodate the PNG crowd, all they'll need to do is switch sides, for a decent payday for them.

Y’all are still 0fer against La Porte, and the Dawgs will be in the 3rd year of the staff with—depending on how they count the starters since LP rotates so much—8 returning on O & 7 on D. Every matchup is different of course. But, BH would stand less of a chance this year than last, and Eagle Stadium isn’t an edge against LP. 😂

I definitely support Abseck and his staff and how they coach, consistently! I did NOT like the 2 "give aways" last year, but it does happen, unfortunately! I hope they have learned that lesson! I sort of think this district is not gonna be a cakewalk for any team, actually - any given Friday. The loss of Crosby from our district schedule is just like the loss of Dayton a few years ago. Now we get big bad WB and Angleton and the normally always tough Ball to add to PA's athletic team. Gonna be fun and ready to start this new chapter!!
