Just got the official Tiger roster. Uh....these heights ain't right LOL. I don't think they've update it since last year. Tigers got some young size Troy Rice 6'5 freshman Billy Boulwen 6'4 freshman Don't know how much they'll contribute this year, but its good to have some size to work with for the future.

I'm getting a good vibe with this team. Some of you know what I'm talking about. Elijah Gales is a grown natural man. Our QB is gaining confidence and making good plays and decisions. The D whatever you call is its usual self. Carmella Jones was still looking for someone to hit after the game. Shaw is back. Special teams playing well. Gonna be a great game. China Spring will not get the same model Mustangs they saw last year.

Thank you for clarifying.Well I was one of those doubters with good reason.Yes we were winning and playing not so competitive teams and looked real sloppy in doing so the first of the season.I also said we still had enough games left to improve.The way we were playing you have to be honest a far run in the playoffs didn't seem in the cards with the teams we would have to play.But alas,this team has gotten better and I think peaking at the right time.In my opinion we going to be hard to beat.

It just feels so unnecessary and takes away some of the mystique of that Mustangs D. Not many high schools have a moniker attached to a specific phase of their football team, and that is something that matters in high school. Eh, just something I was thinking about.

Alright people saying this is a slightly better Texas City defense are smoking the good stuff. Texas High is very very fast on defense in the front 7. That can cause problems and did for PNG. They are not the size of A&M/BH/Manvel at the LOS that's 100% correct. We will also be a way faster team overall than they are used to but that was a clinic on how to shut down that PNG offense and they did it almost identically to Crosby's game plan versus PNG. I do think if they try to play 1 on 1 with our receiver's we will win that battle quite often. Especially on the RPO if they keep trying to send 6. I also think Cyrin will have a field day with the pressure on the designed QB run. The Counter will be key in the gameplan as well. No reason Crosby can't hang a big number in this game but that defense can be very very disruptive. Crosby will need to be sharp because we will have to make quick reads and the correct reads. The offense that Crosby runs is fully prepared for Texas High's speed but we haven't seen a team as fast on defense since we played PAM. I expect a similar gameplan and similar results offensively. Defensively I like the match up for the Cougars, no dominate Offensive linemen, nothing like we saw last week and their running back is solid but he's not as good as #23 from A&M, he was getting arm tackled all game long so just got to get some pads to him and he goes down. He's the classic really fast track kid playing running back if the hole is big and he gets open space he can make plays. Honestly this team looks like a less offensively talented PAM. The big difference OFC is PAM has to play in 5AD1.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves... One game at a time. Orange is notorious for scheduling Christmas parades the same night as playoff games. And both are still packed. Now I will say this. I dont know if both 4A division championships would be the same day or not. But Orange wont shut down for anything except a hurricane. Some would be surprised how many people from WOS simply hate football. I know there's one for sure who stays on the basketball side of this site. Personally, I'll never wear green and gold together. It's kinda like some of the RED WOS shirts I see sometimes. But I would love to stay for a 2nd game at AT&T and cheer on my neighbors... if and when that happens. Good luck to both teams Friday. And safe travels to all the the people of Orange, and beyond, that come out to support us. I love seeing people from other schools wearing their shirts at our playoff games.

No problem we are united now to get this win and move to the next round. I truly, like the way the Mustangs are playing football. This game will be a challenge there is no doubt about that. The players are ready. We as supporters will need to bring good energy, a yell our arse off at the game come Friday night in Tomball. CS travels well and their fans make a lot of noise.

I sat by a very nice group of people last week but they definitely didn’t know football at all…they just thought the refs were against us the entire game.People don’t understand refs at this level are bad in general,some good ones but lots of bad ones!

My son played under him and has said nothing but good things about Williams.

Besides CS run game, they will throw the ball. Mustangs turn and play for the ball. We will need to step it up in our secondary. Learn their receivers’ routes. Our corners are very capable of intercepting the ball and taking it to the house. My key to the game is to play hard-nosed defense. And let’s HOPE that the refs are neutral and will let the teams decide who moves on to the next round.

To be fair we have cleaned up a lot of those things we were doing.

CS has impressed with with their offensive TEMPO. There is zero hesitation with the QB's first step and decision making. Their confidence shows all over the field which is also a sign of excellent coaching. WO-S can match them physically and athletically. If WO-S looses the in the mistake category, they lose the game. CS plays with smooth execution. They don't beat themselves. I'm glad we're playing them at full strength this time and I know our players want this game. A couple of successful trick plays would go a long way in helping us get the W. I hope Coach Dyer finds a little mad scientist within himself.

I was actually figuring after the young man from last year graduated we'd be back to mediocrity but I think we are easily going to be one of the top ten teams in the area. Coach Josh is turning out to be a great coach.

I disagree. Take away inside run, put pressure on the freshmen and he just throws it up. If DB’ s look for the ballad it floats up, Crosby will have 3 or 4 int’s. Yes, you can tell the kid is good, but he made a ton of bad decisions against BH. Stop the run and Crosby blows them out. A&M defense is on par with our district. Whatever the score was between PNG/Crosby is what this score will be.
