I don't care who WO-S has played this year. They will match up very well against Carthage.

We haven't played well against good teams this year. Maybe a few quarters here and there were good (first half against Pleasant Groove), but overall it was too much bad. I do think we've improved from a few months ago, but it won't make a significant difference. I look into my crystal ball for this game and all it shows me are a bunch of these 🏀🏀🏀

The Jasper RB's are not better than Elijah Gayles. He doesn't get the yards that Limbrick did because WOS has many weapons that they use. Andre Thomas played at WOS until his Sr year when he went to Jasper. He was a slot guy here, not even a RB.

All I know about CS, is those boys play hard as hell every time is see them. They are physical. Or at least they were when I was following them from 2015 - 2017. Don’t think they will beat WO-S, but I do expect them to push the Mustangs for a half or so. WO-S defense will be the difference.

Yea they don’t look as good as the WOS opponents on paper as gilmer or jasper or Carthage that statement was ridiculous. Take it from one of west oranges opponents. However , if y’all think west orange Stark’s lack of strength in their district schedule somehow means they aren’t a threat in the playoffs to every region of Texas you’re out of your mind. Since 2005 when I started watching setx football , and then playing it for 6 years , west orange was never in that good of a district and they’ve always gone deep in the playoffs before I even started watching so don’t let the fact that they’ve won all of their games 70-0 fool you .

That may be one of the dumbest comments I’ve ever seen. From coach Frank Martin: “We’ve changed as adults. We demand less of kids. We make their lives easier instead of preparing them for what life is truly about. We’re the ones that have changed. To blame kids is a cop out.” If you want to blame the community or parents, the coaching or the district, I’m all in. Those kids’ lack of mental toughness is not the issue.

I think if Silsbee plays up to their potential, they could find themselves in striking distance late in the game. Carthage will have to lay an egg, too. But that’s why they still have to play the games.

He cuts back alot on those toss sweeps.And I expect them to double team #73 for Silsbee.that kid has had a great yr.if Silsbee dont give up any cheap scores like they did against w.o I think this game could be closer than what ppl think. If they do give up the cheap scores.than they will lose by 21. Airline and dodd will be huge . No T/O. And it should be a great game.and i hope Silsbee uses there backs to swing pass too. Not intended as disrespect. It was a response to someone downplaying the capabilities of the WOS backfield. No doubt Limbrick is talented as is Andre. Andre is a good kid too. We hated to see him leave. Both talented backs as are the WOS backs. The WOS kids just don't have the gaudy numbers because we also have great WR's. And a QB that can spread it around. But make no mistake, Gayles and Shaw would rack up those numbers in a different system.

I have to disagree. Obviously a good defense helps, but playing Carthage you have to score just about every time you get the ball.

So many weapons that our #1 RB had less than 500 yards before last nights game.

We heard the same thing last year after Bellville put the stomp on Jasper. What they did to Jasper has no bearing on next weeks game. Jasper has proven, again, they can't get the job done in the playoffs.

Fact is that in DII there isn’t but 2-3 teams in the state that can match up with WO-S or Carthage this year. Both have pretty much blown thru their schedule. Plenty of years Carthage and WO-S didn’t play anybody in district and won a state championship. All this about who teams have played and how bad they beat them is kinda useless. We will know more about WO-S this week. But if we are all being real their just isn’t that many great teams in DII when you are comparing them to WO-S or Carthage.

It’s fairly simple, they start getting that doubt as soon as they fall behind during a game. Example: oh no here we go again. You are correct about parents and coaching being a big part of it. I agree that being soft is due partly to the coaching staff. However , I also believe that winning must become very important to you as a player. Basically the parents, community, coaching staff, and players are all responsible for a winning culture.

What happened the first half where was your condescending post ? Our QB is a jr. most of our wr's are jr's the RB and kicker are freshmen. With our new coach and group of kids we will be just fine going forward.

Coach Babin’s son, Hayden, trains 6-7 days a week. He has trained at Houston Ballet Academy for three years and also competes independently for a few Houston area studios. He dances all over Texas and even gone to Los Angeles for an invite-only dance convention. He has thousands of followers on TikTok and Instagram. He is a gifted kid. His videos online are impressive.
