Once Christian Thomas got in the game all that running Dalton was doing ceased besides 1 run in the 3rd qtr. He singlehandedly flipped the game defensively.

Nederland has no pass rush. PNG QB stood back there throwing darts all night. Nederland could have sealed a victory but two fumbles in a row on the same play call was their demise. It comes down to continuing to give your opponent additional chances. You can’t do that and expect to win, especially in such a rivalry game.

I saw the last few minutes of this game. Although the flag was late, the correct call was made. It definitely was a pass interference/defensive holding.

These officials need to get their stuff together. This game is being so poorly officiated.

22-7 huffman wins. they did open it up in the second half a little. Splendora scored on a Hail Mary to make it 14-7. The onside kick bounced, HH kid jumped up, snagged it and ran in a TD to make it 20-7. 2pt conversion run and its 22-7. Splendora was done with 1:42 left in game. Huffman put a lid on the best RB in the district and played with their big dogs up front. Played big when it mattered.

Memorial did a great job after being tested and dealing with some 1st half adversity, to come in the 2nd half to takeover the game. Now they just need to continue to play smart and don't let teams bait them into those bs penalties......good win Titans.

The improvement for Livingston is amazing. Regarding the band stuff, I know it’s super duper important to the success of the football team, but you may want to send those comments over to the band forum. What’s that? You didn’t know there was a band forum? Well sure there is! Only nobody ever posts in the band forum cuz nobody cares. Do I like the band? Of course I do, silly! They provide the background music while I’m taking a leak and getting my nachos! If your band sucks, tell them to practice more after school or on the weekends during non-football times. Btw, if the band was such an integral part of the game, why were they left at home? Because they don’t have to be there to play the game.

I thought the same thing after the Splendora game, they are starting to mix the skill guys in a little more. They might want to consider playing some of the linemen both ways at times too. But it’s a little late in the season to be figuring it all out on the fly.

Another ugly performance no show, this time with way too many turnovers. Was it 3 interceptions to the same DB and a fumble? I could still see us actually play hard and beat HH on Senior night. It wouldn’t surprise me the way this team is up and down. Livingston is much improved, although it looked like their QB almost got killed out there. I’m surprised he came back in the game better ice him up, you lose him and it’s a wrap. The Pirates were mauling the backup QB but the starter is mobile enough to make plays behind a questionable offensive line.

That one wasn’t as clear as the pi that should have been called 2 plays before. Guy was all over nail.

Good game HD. Game could have been a whole lot different imo if Burkville didn’t have two fumbles before half . HD still may have ran away eventually but could have been closer. Hats off to Coach Williams for doing a good job in rebuilding the mustangs.

Had a couple mishaps in the red zone but we are still up 14-7 over Crockett. Crockett is athletic so we will need to execute in the 2nd half.

Yeah the fight for 2nd, 3rd and 4th will be fun. United going undefeated in that district with maybe 1 or 2 games that's close because they're bored that night.

I beg to differ. I went to see Silsbee in a tournament the year they were was ranked #1 and went into the playoffs undefeated. That's another story. Around the holidays they played in a tournament at the now gone Smiley Hi School. Channel View was there, and so was Yates. I alluded to having seen talented teams with no coaching. That Yates team was one I had in mind. They had height, guards everything. They ran like the wind. They built up a big lead in a game, then fizzled out and lost. This was before they hired Wise. The difference between that team and the teams coached by Wise was like night and day. He put Yates back on the map. That negative stereotype that the all successful black high school coaches just win because they have teams with a lot of talent is a myth. All successful coaches win with talented teams. You have watched too many re runs of the movie Hoosier. It is based on a real team, but they used all kinds of cinema verite, and poetic justice to make that movie. That same mentality is the reason why both the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys are jacked up.
