Actually, but for the mistakes, it was a dominating performance, especially in the 2nd half. There were times that Vidor was ticking off 4-5 yards per run. Brazosport was not shutting down the running game.

The nerve of letting something natural sneak up on the people they serve. I think they could have done a much better job. All the sick, injured, and dead people are blood on their hands. I think they just sat on their hands. I never saw any of them issuing evacuation orders until it was too late. Funny how this is not something that was sprung on them. These fires happen every year and they still have no policy to prevent their rapid spread. They should all face a firing squad for being such pitiful servers of the American people.

Truthfully, not much different than what they did do to Newton for a couple of reasons! First and foremost, Jasper is that good. Secondly, though, I think you have seen what a layoff involving no games and sporadic practice can do to a team. That is the reason Newton has a better chance with WO-S than many think right now.

Newton plays bigger teams consistently and beats a lot of them, especially in the past 5 years. But you are right, we’re very inexperienced and have a long way to go. Jasper looks good but do need to do more than running those 2 RB’s to beat better teams.

I'd like to think we're that good, but who knows? We got out of the gate fast last week against Silsbee too, but turnovers hurt us and they got back in it before the game was called before halftime. I think Newton's better than they've shown tonight.

Pretty crazy. Jasper also dodged a bullet with that tornado in the spring. It's not normal for Jasper to catch a break like that, let alone two in the same year.
