Great game for the Bruins. Just feel the lights were to bright for a young program. The plays were there to be made on boths sides of the ball for United but the execution was very poor. Lots of lessons need to learned for the coaches and players.....And i just have to say......IN BIGTIME GAMES YOU CANNOT COACH SCARED....YOU CANNOT BE TIMID AND SOFT IN YOUR PLAYCALLING OFFENSE OR DEFENSE....ESPECIALLY IN A PRIMETIME RIVALRY GAME.......lets just say the playcalling really ticked me of...But Brook is the better team and it showed. I just thought United could have done so much more

If I were to become involved in that brawl, I would be dead on the spot! Other that that, If I were the coach/Principal/Supt., I would suspend the players involved with this massive incident. This is so uncalled for! Sports are to teach people values and skills like working together as a team and good sportsmanship! Playing football and other sports are considered privileges! By putting on that uniform, you are representing your school, the community, the State, and the United States of America! It is time for everyone to be held responsible for what they do on and off the field!

You knew how this game was going to go after the first drive. West Brook drive the ball on the first possession with little to no resistance. They utilized their best player(s) all night long. It became the Thad (Johnson) and Yowman show and we could do little to stop it. Thad in the running game, Thad in the slot, Thad on defense, ect. Yowman was just picking us apart. This kid is dead on accurate throwing around and though our defense with VERY LITTLE pressure. This team...if they can continue their offensive onslaught, will do special things this year. very tough cover for anyone. I'll be following this group VERY closely from here on out. Sad thing is this could've been worse. WB took their foot off the pedal late in this game. We just didn't realize early that we needed to try something different on defense. If you have to sell out and blitz hard, then so be it. You just cant let stationary QB's just sit in the pocket and do this. We allowed them over 300 yards passing and only pressured them ONCE. You can't allow that all night long, which is what we did. You cannot keep giving their WR's 15 yard cushions and allow that short slant stuff all night long. And for goodness sake, when you do have a chance to hit them and make them pay, you cant allow a WR's to shrug off a tackle and proceed untouched to the end zone. I was very high on this defense, but this is the first time our pass D was tested and we failed miserably. Get back in the lab and get back to work is all I can say. Good thing is our secondary will not be tested like this until playoffs. Hope we get better by then. Offense could've did a lot of things better. The little run looks like off tackle didn't work all night long. Once series we ran it like 3 times in a row, like the same play literally with the same results. NO YARDS. With that said, there were some things that we seen that WB D COULDN'T stop, such as our QB running, but we went away from it. You have to keep doing things that work until they stop it. Damn what you've been working on all week. In the game, if you find something that works, keep going to it. With everything gone wrong on offense, you still in that 3rd quarter had a chance to make this interesting. 4th down while in the red zone, you take a sack instead of just throwing the ball in the end zone. It's 4th down. worse case scenario, it's intercepted in the end zone. But had he looked to the right, #3 was sitting in the end zone wide open. Bottom line, our kids were not prepared and looked confused, lost and defeated. Our coaching staff looked confused and lost. Looks as if they've never seen this before. Makes me wonder what was being worked on all week in practice. WB, go on and run the table and make another deep run and give NS heck, even though that's a tall order. BU, keep improving pull yourself together and Get king on the road as that will be another tough matchup. I know we'll still have one of our key players out, but Someone else will need to step up until this kid gets back.

Katy has suspended it's quarterback for two games and stripped him of his captainship after he was caught on the Mike saying a word that white people shouldn't say. [Hidden Content] Kid sounds remorseful, and no one should be judged by a single bad decision. I hope he learns and becomes a better person for it. Katy will survive this. How do you know the adjustments weren’t being made? Could possible be that the adjustments were being made but the players weren’t executing? I was standing down by the sidelines and I heard the coaches making the adjustments and then the players were on the field doing the same thing over again and could hear the coaches hollering “we just talked about this.” So I beg to differ the coaches were making adjustments on defense I personally saw it with my eyes. I also guess it was the coaches fault that they missed tons of tackles in second half when the back up QB you are talking about was in. They had the QB running all over the place they were getting plenty of pressure on him. Not sure what game you were watching though. Hey though guess what the other team practices too and they are going to make plays that’s what happens in football games. Two of the scores came on QB scrambles and the DBs just lost their man and they threw it down the field and scored. Notice I said scrambles because of the pressure on QB. The other score in 2nd half was multiple missed tackles on an athlete who was at QB who made a few plays and broke the long run for a TD. So before you start throwing shade at the coaches on adjustments you may want to go rewatch the game or pay better attention to the game.

I’d really like to know why we switched up offenses in the first place. Our offense last year wasn’t to blame for our 0-10 season. This flex bone offense cost us 5-6 turnovers a game. Our running game last year was down because of lack of blocking for a dang good back like Santee, but our passing game was strong. We should do some switching back before it’s too late. Our returning coaches and players should remember the spread. If we had 200 fans there last night I’d be surprised, and that’s a shame and it’s probably just gonna get worse. I don’t know, something gotta give, just never been a fan of a run heavy team i guess.

At least you dont have to drive. I'm sure there are some good teams over there. Many people from the other side of the sabine river have asked why we dont play them. If you take away GP Dayton has scored 7 pts in the other 4 games. Those 7 came against Porter with no time left on the clock and it was totally irrelevant. Be honest with you I have no idea where you would even start to be just competitive. Can’t block can’t get of blocks tackling is below average and have no real offensive or defensive scheme and turn the ball over a lot. Punter is good so that’s a positive and he will get a ton of work this year. I knew when Crosby went for 2 in the first quarter and it was only 13-0 they where basically using this as a scrimmage. I say this because their kicker was really good and nobody in their right mind goes for 2 with a ton of time left in the first quarter unless you have no kicker or just don’t respect your opponent. I really hope these kids get at least one district win and I always want to see our local kids do well. Oh well should feel like football weather Friday night and still think high school football is the biggest bang for your buck in our great state.

Allowing 400+ yards passing through 3 quarters is alarming. Very alarming. Now I know H-F can pass but would rather run, but if this scouting report is out and IF Silsbee don't clean this up, then yes. My original statement stands. Now to Silsbee's credit, the game Vs. H-F is in week 10. Plenty of games to play to get better.

The air show was in lake Charles around 88 or 89. I had a long talk with my father about it. He is air force Vietnam veteran that never saw anything out of the ordinary while overseas. But what I found most interesting was that after returning to the states, he witnessed several "test flights" of the sr71 while stationed at Elgin a.f.b. in Florida. He was extremely surprised to see it unveiled to the public in the 80s. Almost 20 years after he first saw it. His thought was that the capabilities of the sr71 were so advanced that nothing could be more secretive. And that it should have been the pinnacle of our airplane technology. He also believes, like many others as well, that "anytime the govt shows its cards, they're already playing with a different deck."
