That’s always the case.. the people that make decisions are always the reason someone stays/goes. But those people are rarely here. My original post was for the community members on here that were calling for his head in the beginning. Do they still want that? They’re back to their DC ways.. Quote

I'm glad you said it.bcz, this team might be able to go 3 rounds deep at best.alot of ppl think we're just out to get him. They truly don't understand it's still not the mustangs way.the kids are fighting but with better coaching it's sky's the limit with this team.even on the goal line lastnite.bf the fg.HF had all 11 guys in the box and if they would've ran wide the back walks in.its simple things that they call.that will come back to bite them. Community/parent support trickles down into player mentality. Perhaps what was needed from the start was to just be supportive.. and realize that changes that happen overnight take a little time. I'm just calling out the ridiculousness of what is often seen in the coaching world. Win - Hero.. Lose - Idiot.. Never taking into account the vast number of things that influence the outcome of a season. CT made it to the state championship in 2017. Then didn’t get back (or close) in 18.. 19.. 20.. 21.. what happened? Was he a worse coach at the end of his career? Or were there other factors? Bottom line.. the WOS community as a whole was absolutely ridiculous towards this coach at first .. and obviously still (“He overall hasn’t been good enough…is that what you’re looking for?”).. so I’m going to bring this up with every success. And I might be old, but my memory is still strong. Quote

With the talent we have we should've had the game sealed when we held up 4 fingers. Never should've been a game winning FG with 44 secs left. The decisions we see them make tell us we will not reach that mountain top again. And #4 won that DC and gave all the glory to god. I know its a team game and all that. But u cant deny his impact. I think it’s the way WOS plays now that people don’t like. WOS was known for defense and not given up 20 points to Fannett. Quote
Tiger33 Posted 22 minutes ago Report Posted 22 minutes ago So with CT the last 4 years gave up 32 points to Fannett with a 4-0 wins. Hickman gave up 95 points and is 1-3 against them. Let me guess you’re going to use the cop out and say it was the drop in the talent at WOS.. The point is CT is a better defensive coach. Quote

I'll say this, HF is much better now than those 4 years that you mentioned under CT. bullets13 1 Quote

That might be true due to transfers but I think strategy wise he is the man. Not knocking Hickman it’s hard to keep a good group of kids on the prize, and he got thrown in a job with extreme high expectations. Quote
