Vidor is circled for most on the district calendar. They get a co district championship and you'd think they'd won the state championship.

How did you formulate that in your cranium? Lol . I don’t think I’ve seen those type of posters on here. I think most Vidor posters have a realistic view of the team. But hey, that’s a cute post.

i agree. vidor needs to not necessarily move away from the slot t but maybe run a more multiple offense to keep the opposing team guessing and not get one dimensional.

Been saying it for years.

What do we change too? If your change is going to give us much better results then I’ll be more than happy to sign your petition.

2 weeks ago "vidor posters" had a completely different picture and acted like i was crazy when I pointed out back to back winning seasons usually doesn't favor vidors history

Maybe those Vidor posters like to see the glass half full instead of half empty an give this years team the benefit of the doubt on putting together a winning season.  I mean they are putting in the work to try to accomplish that goal. Its not that hard to pull up Vidors record for the past 20 years or so to see that they haven’t put together 2 district championships back to back but thanks for that incredible insight.

Based on some of these post, appears to be a few Vidor haters in this area.  Rather amazing.  I don’t hate any other school/program.  May envy them somewhat - their winning traditions, but it is what it is.

Last night we saw a spark of encouragement.  Spotted SF 21 points and were within 7 of tying the game prior to another fumble.  Maybe, just maybe, the Pirates will start turning things around.  Nothing like a win or two to change the mindset, and as I posted a day ago, imo the problem they have now is mental, not physical.  Lmbo, as the guy said in Platoon, “Free your mind, your butt will follow”.

that vidor has more success than any other offense. do i need to break it down for you in kindergarten terms?

By all means do so !

If they ran the offense for many more years then any other offense then it only makes sense that they would have made the playoffs more times using that offense. It's the law of averages.     Sub .500

If you have a team - any team - say North Shore - and they aren’t blocking & tackling, will changing their offense help?  This isn’t a trick question.  The team I saw against Silsbee wasn’t blocking or tackling.  The Spread, Slot T, Wishbone, I formation- doesn’t matter.

Now I’m no Coach or a football guru, so if I’m wrong, please point out where I’ve gone astray.  If NS can win not doing those two things, please explain how.

Once Vidor starts doing those two things & they’re still getting beat, then we can talk about which offense they ought to use.

It is amazing what goes on in others minds. Haters are gonna hate. Its just how they roll. Good thing is its in their head. Personally I would rather just enjoy the football season and not waste time obsessing and hating on someone else.

    • Meh.. Everyone knows this. The kid that got injured wasn't lifting weights. Supposedly he was hit with a helmet in his elbow. In my opinion the kid shouldn't have been put in that situation. AD should've told the Varsity baseball players to sit that one out. I have no issues with the lifting or conditioning. However, anytime helmets/pads are on there is a higher risk of injury. This AD showed a total lack of respect for HIS baseball program.
    • Maybe.. however..  Many athletic director / head football coach have lost their job despite the athletic program as a whole being successful.. if the football team struggles.  On the other hand, when football teams are doing great but the rest of the program stinks.. AD/HFC still keeps their job. WOS.  Newton. .. programs as a whole were fairly weak during those many years of football power and very few people even knew it.  Or cared. Yet, AD/HFC kept their jobs for years. Meanwhile, I remember an AD/HFC at Barbers Hill lost his job after every program in the school won district championships and even had several team sports (baseball, softball, girls hoops, etc.) making runs at state.  But the football team was mediocre.  Fired. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that perception is reality.  And the perception is that your athletic program can suck as long as football wins.. it doesn't matter how strong the athletic program is if football sucks.

    • Baseball mafia can cry all they want but when the talent isn’t there it ain’t there lol
    • It's only a matter of time before the baseball mafia starts greasing the tracks to run Crumedy out of town. It'll be a dang shame too, but mark my words.
