whatever.  I was there.

It's a forum. Place to write your opinions, insight and what not. Sorry if you

Didn't like it, don't read next time.

Wasnt gonna name players.

Discipline:  if there was more than one incident...too many. Not talking about intensity. Know the game situation. Control yourself.

Conditioning:  Silsbee history.  Plenty of examples, but if you want, I'll take better notes on this one next time.  Jmo.

Silsbee won with superior athletes, not gameplay.

 Won't happen against other teams....

That being said, I'm still a fan, still proud for them. They played, overcame and won. Time to clean it up.

naw you not a fan stay at home with that negativity don't need your kind supporting us

I said Silsbee needed to score 35 points to have a chance at winning this game. Well, 34 was enough. In our pregame show, Tim and I agreed that after Silsbee gave up 400 yards rushing to Barbers Hill last year that a win for the defense would be keeping them under 250 yards rushing. BH had 243. Silsbee actually out rushed the Eagles 294-243 on 1 less carry. 40 of BH's 76 yards passing came on the "hail mary" at the end of game.

Silsbee's passing game wasn't sharp last night. Dontre missed some receivers and had a couple of drops. Dontre did well in the zone read rushing for 159 yards and 2 TD's. Tigers have to take care of the ball better. Cannot have 4 turnovers.

It was a very exciting season opener. Lead changed hands 6 times last night ending with a great game winning catch by junior Kolten Mackey on a 4th and 13 play from BH 23 yard line with 28 seconds left in game. Great adjustment by Mackey on the pass from Thomas.

Overall good road win for the Tigers to start the season. Confidence is growing.

If BH stays one dimensional and doesn't start passing the ball they will not make the playoffs this year either.

I think they're already out. Their defense was supposed to be able to keep them in games until the offense came along. It just looks like more of the same for now though, getting out-athleted by a school half their size doesn't bode well for district play. I said before the year started that I thought they were still a year away though.
