  4. Yes, I am ok with helping folks out that need it. What I am not ok with is the generational abuse of entitlement programs, and the democrats using entitlements to gain votes. I'm sure you are a fan, seeing how you got your education paid for with my money.

  8. This thread has obviously run its course. It was about passing an immigration law but has skewed off into attacks and comments that have nothing to do with the topic.

  10. Ahhh makes sense. I was just looking at the WNIT field and they have some stinkers in that one. Didn’t realize NCAA owns the men’s but not the women’s NIT

  11. You are being completely ridiculous now. Losing credibility with every post you make. You trying to compare a charter school that pulls from 18 other ISD's in the DFW metropolis to a town of 6500 (Silsbee) with just one ISD is a complete farce. Of course, I completely understand your disappointment with your precious Yates team and it's fall from 4A grace. Maybe some day they will be back.

  12. A politician dies. Instead of going straight to heaven or hell a spirit appears before him. The spirit says he gets to choose whether he goes to heaven or hell. The politician replies of course he wants to go to heaven. The spirit tells him that before he chooses, that he has to visit both places so that they each get a fair chance. First, they visit heaven. It looks pretty nice. Big fluffy clouds, angels singing and playing harps. Everyone seeming to enjoy themselves. The politician is pleased but a bit underwhelmed. Hell, on the other hand is magnificent. It's the most beautiful place the politician had ever seen. Everyone there is having the time of their life in a big beautiful garden. It makes heaven look dull and boring in comparison. "I can't believe I am saying this, but I think I would rather go to hell." Says the politician. "Very well" says the spirit. "Turn around". When the politician turns around though hell appears very different than it had less than a minute ago. All the attractions are gone and everything is on fire. All the people are screaming in agony. "I don't understand!" cries the politician. "This isn't what you showed me before." Spirit says "well, that was the campaign. "Now, you have voted."

  13. It was more than just about the last few posts, or even this topic specifically. All I read on here is "Well, what about...(insert what ever deflection you want to come up with)". If you're missing something, then you are no different than most - me included. We become so polarized to "our guy" that we can't see the forest for the trees. @Reagan posts sensationalized articles about "what the left did this time" and @Big girl, God bless her, can't seem to make sense of what day it is. Both are extreme and the truth falls somewhere in the middle. But there isn't any middle ground thee days. There isn't any give and take these days. Between social media, mainstream media (which includes CNN, Fox, the Big 3, MSNBC, etc.), we are willingly being polarized. It's for a reason, both political & social. We are slaves to their thoughts. Most people can't admit that Trump is a narcissistic crook. I can. I'm still going to vote for him...because, in my opinion, it beats the alternative. Quit calling each other names and pointing the finger and try to have a discussion that's meaningful.

  14. You are probably correct… there are millions of Canadians pouring across the border in caravans but for some reason have gone unnoticed. I hear that Detroit and Seattle now have a huge homeless population because of all the White Canadians streaming into this country.

  15. I'm not sure if you have kids (Honestly I hope not with your response), but I do and I thank God he is still with me. I have two good friends, one lost her first born Son(to a work accident) and the other to a drug overdose. The pain that causes does not go away....EVER. That pain is so severe, if you have kids or don't, you can't even attempt to understand their pain. They are reminded several times a year (every holiday, birthday and special event) for the rest of their life they lost their kid. So, if that guy Republican or Democrat got in to yell at the President over the death of his Son, I support that 150%.....and you should too. Life is short, and you never know if your kid might lose their life and you have that same pain. Everything is not politics, and those lives and deaths are real.

  16. I don’t see a difference between Faith Family playing 4A schools and Silsbee playing Bridge City, WOS, Vidor, Lumberton, LCM & Jasper twice a year. Silsbee needs to move up to 5A where the district would be more competitive
