  1. This is what any of them don't get!! They all on this site always think everyone be against the coaching staff. We love them all as a person.but, the coaching has no discipline at all! All the unsportsmanlike penalties and all the penalties as a hole.great teams doesn't do some of the things they do.and that's why ppl are so critical of the staff!! It's not Abt the past !! It's Abt now.west orange still will win. But, been sooo undisciplined doesn't make sense

  2. Back to the kicking decisions. Hernandez could've put 3 points on the board from 5 yards farther back. Silsbee broadcaster even said he threw his hands up going back to the sideline. His only miss all year was last week with a bad snap. When he has punted he's dropped it inside the 5 when possible. He has talent. Things like this could be why the last kicker didnt return play his senior year. Even though he broke every record at WOS. At times they've shown zero confidence in them. Flashback to the OT loss at PNG few years ago. It went to OT because they wouldn't let the kicker kick. But Joseph did and the kid nailed it. How many times did we hear CT talk about winning all 3 phases?

  3. Colmesneil is a very physical football team. Lot's of tenacity. Get after you every down on both sides of the ball. #1 runs hard for them and #32 is a beast at WR. Their defense has a bell cow in #55 on the line. Controls the inside. Lot's going both ways. I would say at least 8-9 play every snap of the game. Credit to West Hardin for not quitting after going down 24-6. Kept battling till the end. Those guys can hit as well. Oilers just couldn't get anything out of their passing game like the Bulldogs did. Both teams run it 85% of the time but Colmesneil was much more effective when they did pass. I think Colmesneil has a real shot at West Sabine. Their physical play can wear on a team that doesn't like that style. Glad I decided to attend this one. Very good football game.

  5. I missed it live but went back to the broadcast. You're right. Levi was in for KJ too. Really?!?! Its the same staff that called a TO on 3rd down of opening drive. Next play went -2. Then they went for it on 4th and lost 10 more yards. Why not punt from midfield? I'll get back to that. Then at the end its like he heard me say "we cant play prevent on offense." And replied back... hold my beer. Same coach ran down to call the TO. Put in the FG team. False start. So now lets try to throw to the end zone. Athleticism can only bail him out so many times. Will they have another KJ next year? Is Spears or Alexander gonna be another record breaking savior? Tonight we played a sloppy undisciplined game and escaped with a win. Think Silsbee had 14 points from scoop and scores. We couldn't make a 1st down after 2 of their turnovers. Penalties cost us numerous times. This wont work in December. Loved the cooler weather tonight but I want them to play indoors at some point. Only one place to do that.

  6. Anderson, WB pound United 28-14 By Tom Halliburton Tammeron Anderson never expected to run so much Friday night but the West Brook senior handled his heavy workload ‘ok’ by his own estimation. The Bruins quarterback and his big-play receiver/runner Brandon Jackson dazzled Beaumont United’s defense when it counted as the west end squad convincingly reclaimed the Beaumont Bowl title 28-14 at wind-blown Doggett Family Stadium. How convincingly did coach Chuck Langston’s red and blue (3-4 and 2-3) restore their 5A Division 1 playoff hopes? They outgained the younger Timberwolves (6-2 and 3-2) by a commanding 422 yards to United’s 246. How involved was West Brook’s field general in compiling that 422 total. The University of Louisiana pledge, Anderson ran a seemingly excessive 26 times for 151 yards and threw for 198 more. Tam tossed three scoring passes and dashed to paydirt for a fourth score. Anderson’s busiest receiver, Jackson, collected five of his passer’s nine completions for 166 yards and two touchdowns while Brock Anderson added a touchdown catch which shoved WB in the lead for keeps. There’s no way anyone expected the Bruins quarterback to take off and run that often. Not even Tam himself. But the Timberwolves defense had to stretch the field and assign a defender to guard each potential weapon as the Bruins constantly lined up in an empty backfield. That permitted Tam to dash into the wide-open spaces. “The game plan was to get the ball to my receivers but United has a great defense and our receivers weren’t always open,” the Bruins passer said. “We had to give them some unique looks (offensive formations),” said the head coach’s son and WB offensive coordinator Justice Langston. “We thought we might have to put it on Tam’s back.” When the rivals shook hands, Timberwolves head coach Drenard Williams spoke with class, complimenting the Bruins. “They kept our passing game contained and we couldn’t punch it into the end zone,” United’s second-year head coach said. “I take my hat off to them. It’s all about execution. But we sure don’t have time to hang our hats.” Anderson would be the first guy to admit that his night would feel far less than perfect. He lost two fumbles in the game’s first 15 minutes. United linebacker Myles Andrews jarred one loose in the end zone and teammate Justice Johnson covered it for touchdown, giving United a 14-7 lead less than a minute into the second quarter. From that point, WB’s offensive line decided to take charge, often escorting its quarterback to large yardage chunks. The Bruins tied the game midway in the second quarter with an 87-yard, 15-play drive. They grabbed their first lead late in the third quarter with a 62-yard, 14-play possession. The fourth-quarter trip to the end zone covered 64 yards in eight snaps. “I thought our offensive line played extremely well,” the Bruins head coach said. “We were very physical up front. Tam is a special young man with an unbelievable character. We put a lot on him tonight.” Senior offensive lineman Michael Richard felt his unit definitely took command of United’s defense after halftime. “I could tell by the energy we had,” Richard said. “We just had to make sure we executed and stayed together… The main thing is we just locked in on all of our plays.” As for the game’s most productive yardage gainer, the West Brook quarterback preferred to downplay his contribution. “I had an OK game but I could have done much better,” Anderson said. “I feel happy not for me but for the team, for our school and all the people on the west end.” Tom Halliburton is a Beaumont Enterprise senior sports correspondent

  7. Dayton may you have a wonderful rest of your season. Go Purple brothers.

  8. I miss the days of the old 4A, I feel like you earned it back then. Not saying they aren't now but Vidor, central, PNG games were always contests. The district with FB Marshall, Lake Creek was tough, but it never felt like a "home" district from the 409.

  9. I might be off, but Png’s starting defense has given up 14 total points in three district games. If I recall right Santa Fe scored 14 before the backups came in, Texas city only scored off an interception before the backups came in, and Dayton got zero.

  11. It was his ankle. He is pretty tough so I'm concerned for him. Huffman's lack of depth is rearing it's ugly head. They are having to put their two best offensive linemen in on defense to stop Lumberton's run game. They are getting tired and are less effective on offense.

  12. Yeah they are playing real tough tonight. They have been sloppy on offense until this last couple of series.

  17. Weak Brooke turning into West Brook at the right time. I'm not sure United will be so United in a few weeks 🤷🏾‍♂️ GCM can aid into crashing a season next week.

  20. District is down for sure yes. Can’t deny that. But that’s pretty big slap in the face to say to Nederland when they beat Crawford straight up at their place. Give them a little bit of respect.

  21. Nope, it’s 21-7. Buddy was right NC has no want to at this time.

  22. I picked NC also. But, I’d gladly lose the pick’em just to see the chaos of a GCM win. 😂

    Aggiesarewe picks?

I’m glad we lost one. I hate the #1 tag unless it’s when the season is over. #2 QBs can surprise you sometimes. They get their shot.

  26. Sounds like they should have opted up again because district 9-4A D1 is really bad.

  29. I don't care what the scoreboard said, (which was mostly due to the PNG defense, btw). I tend to watch the linemen. And the over-all blocking last night vs what I was seeing against TC was a great improvement. We used to receive individual scores on Saturday mornings for how we did, and for a couple of the linemen vs TC I would have probly got a "c". But, no matter, it was a good game last night. Next Friday should be a good game.

  43. I left the game at halftime. I thought it was going to be pretty one sided and had not planned on attending but I was asked to be there for a pregame check presentation. Wanted to go to WO-S/HF game. Don't think I ever attended a Jasper/Silsbee game where there was a running clock in 2nd half. Silsbee could have scored 70+. Jasper got a late score on Silsbee backups. This was a complete mismatch.
