From a recruiting standpoint this has to be the most talented team BH has ever fielded? BH has kids with P4 offers/committed at every position group that I can find beside OL and LB? Example of growth creating talent. Last time i crunched the all time numbers WOS was avg 13. Thats likely one of the best defenses ever in TX HS FB history. "Good" defense would be higher than 14.

Of course I loved the Velasquez hit, but the Paredes double play with bases loaded in the 8th was what made the game winnable.

Because a team allowed 33 points that means they have no talent? So Newton, who gave up 44, has no talent? Palestine Westwood gave up 48, no talent? Lufkin gave up 59, no talent? Huntsville gave up 49, no talent? La Porte gave up 51, no talent? PN-G gave up 35, no talent? La Marque gave up 35, no talent? DeSoto gave up 38, no talent? Aledo gave up 28, no talent? Duncanville gave up 28, no talent? I could go on. It's pretty asinine to think that a team has no talent because they gave up 33 points in a football game. Particularly to a team that has a pretty good offense.

I think the run game was decent 140 yards between the two backs both averaged around 4ypc, Nederland just cant afford turnovers, penalties, and sacks in this game, and what I dont understand is why I hardly ever see Nederland run screens especially with two decent backs.

I just looked at 3 different sites and didn't see anything forecasted much past 5 o'clock. but yes, rain could help Vidor.

Vidor's improved this year, but it's worth noting that Silsbee has basically a new everybody in their skill positions on the offensive side of the ball. New QB, new RB1, graduated 3 of their 4 top receivers from last year. And this was game 1 for that new offensive unit. Keeping Broussard out of a rhythm is going to be a tall task. He was as in-rhythm as it gets against a very large, very fast defense last week. I think the bigger deciding factor in this one will be how well HF defends the slot-T. If Vidor can control the clock and keep the ball out of Broussard's hands completely for large chunks of the game they'll greatly increase their chances to win. If the Horns get a whole lot of possessions they're likely to score a whole lot of points.

Wow, I had no idea we had played that many times? With 57 previous games maybe we have met while undefeated before? Start the 6A era with a clean slate in what I think is probably going to end up a standard non-district game.

If both teams play similar to how they did in Week 1, I'd say this is about right.

The last 4 seasons they have given up an average of 29.5 a game. I don't consider it good. But I also don't consider it talentless.

If it wasn't for a couple of blown coverages (especially in OT) Vidor wins last week. I think they correct those mistakes and beat HF.

Took 2 out of 3 from las vegas. Monday W 8-1 Tuesday W 8-5 Wednesday L 2-9 Got a 4 game series with tampa bay. Season record: 69-71 2 games back in the division and 1.5 behind in the wild card chase with 22 games remaining.

Wesneski went 7IP, gave up no runs on 1 hit, 5 K's, 2 BB. Very quality start. Hader now 22/22 in saves.

Lol. I have been on this board from the start; way longer than you have, and a couple of other boards before this one. Believe me, your not going to hurt my feelings. But whatever personal axe you have to grind with the program or the coaches, you need to sort that out. There is a difference between constructive criticism and just being negative about everything, and you haven't said a positive thing about anything on here. You don't see me on here saying that Ned is going to win district or go deep in the playoffs but there are positives and negatives in every game especially when you have teenage boys playing.
