After 4 years in Louisiana as a head football coach, and getting Mansfield to the third round of the playoffs for the first time in 32 years, Coach Darrell Barbay has been named the AA Coach of the Year! Congratulations!!

For clarification purposes, Coach Sutherland not once asked the officials to put time on the clock. That was completely their decision to come together and discuss. He was like me, thought the game was over.

The Huntington coach was much more demonstrative with his language and that caught the attention of the official. Plus he was well out on the floor (practically in the EC bench area at times). That's what got him the first tech. IMO, it should have been no tech or a double tech in that situation. I will say, the officials and admins at the game were doing their best to calm the Huntington HC down. They were trying to keep him from getting a tech.

Actually, Hudl video showed that 1 second should have been put on the clock, not .5, But I get what you are saying. I completely disagree with your last statement. Officials just wanted to get it right.
