  1. Coming from a guy whose team has been done for 4 weeks

  2. I guess some people's memory is foggy. PN-G was beating SOC by double digits in the first half of 2022 and lost by 10. Then PN-G beats them the next year for the state championship. Last year's game obviously didn't go PN-G's way but that's why they play the game. PN-G has as good a chance of beating South Oak as anybody in this bracket. Including Richmond Randall. They beat them last year just like the Indians have. Let's play it on the field and find out.

  3. Vidor, PN-G and United won their games. Evadale, Kountze, LCM, Hamshire-Fannett and Buna are not nearly as good as they have been the last several years. HJ, Onalaska and Bridge City are good teams but were matched up against some of the better teams in this event. Same goes for Nederland, Jasper and East Chambers. In just about every game played (16), the Louisiana teams had the larger enrollment vs. their Texas match up.

  5. BC lost to Yates by 1 point in the playoffs last year. Yates was a better team than Denham Springs in my opinion. With what BC has been working with this season, a 30 point loss was better than what I thought it would be. BC has lacked defense in a terrible way so far. All of BCs losses have stemmed from that and selfishness. If BC would be able to meet up with Denham Springs again in a couple weeks, it would be a different outcome now that we have some defensive contributors. If anyone is bragging about beating BC so far this season, trust me, that is not a brag!

  6. PNG has been very good under Joseph and staff. I am definitely pulling for them. I just think losing Bailey is going to hurt and the 2nd RB getting hurt vs Heritage will hurt. In order to win IMO, the receivers are going to have to do a much better job catching the ball than they did vs Heritage

  7. OMG!!!! You are so funny!!!! Holy hell the comments you make are sooooooo hilarious!!!! Thank God you have PNG to keep you posting into your schools basketball season.

  8. It's almost like these 2 are guaranteed to meet in the playoffs every year now. I like SOC but I think PNG will get em this year. Go Indians!

  9. As the parent of a Downs Syndrome child, it is ignorant to defend the use of retarded as an acceptable insult. Constitutionally OK? Maybe, but still ignorant. Not the same as calling an Indian an Indian. Tim may be evil, delusional, ignorant and a degenerate but using the derogatory insult of retarded is an insult to those that are actually mentally challenged. Calling him a tampon is not an insult to tampons. Despite Trumps accomplishments, calling people retarded, piggy and more does not strengthen America. Neither does defending him.

  10. I agree, neither team is the same as they were mid-season, nor should they be. 9-5A just proved to the rest of the region and to the state, that 9-5a can ball, too! PAM is gonna be tough, tough, tough. Can BH beat them, ABSOLUTELY, but if Morton isn’t back, it’s gonna be a lot more difficult! A LOT more difficult! PAM is definitely an elite team in 5-A D1, they have proven that all year long. BH, although I wouldn’t classify as elite, is very, very good…hard-nosed sort of good! They have developed into that “you get punched, you punch back harder!” sort of really good team! Reminds me of the ol K-State teams under Snyder! Maybe BH gets knocked back to reality on Saturday, and if so, BH can hold their head high, that’s for sure…what I do know though, is BH isn’t gonna just lay down because it’s PAM. We basically had “no chance” going into the Weiss game, and BH overcame adversity multiple times to a very good ballclub, too! Go get ‘em BH!

  13. We all can go back two years ago and read all the post we made about SOC vs PNG in the championship game. I would be willing to bet similar post where made back then as they are being made now. Lol it’s the same oh comments being made when PNG continues to have success. Like a mentioned in my previous post, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Thanks for at least supporting my Indians. Scalp em!

  14. PNG will win in a close one. Our defense is 10 times better than last season. SOC will have trouble scoring and the young men will be prepared as they have been every game this season. Speed? Every team we have faced is/was faster than PNG. lol that gets really old. Literally, SOC hasn’t seen a quality defense since Duncanville and we saw the outcome in that game.

  15. Wow! Coach Simper in his first year with only 6 returning starters has done some that no coach has done in 49 years! BH defense is incredible and Barrier is on fire! Not to mention the FG kicker just Wow. Now we get a rematch with PAM . Who would have thought it would be BH and PAM for the Regional Finals LOL. I think we just proved who has the best district congrats to both

  16. BH with no Morton hurts as well. Good game so far, BH dug themselves out of a huge hole to end up tied. Now it’s up to which coach makes the best adjustments at the half.

  17. Fairly evenly matched teams. Weiss just sends the house every play and depends on the other team not being able to execute consistently enough and the ogffficials not being willing to call interference every play. Reminds me of Angleton. Neither team has a prayer against PAM.

  18. Unfortunately SOC by at least 21. PNG doesn’t have the speed and secondary will get burned. Hopefully they can hold them to 35. PNG may get 14. 13-1 another great season for the Indians

  19. I hate playing the same team twice. i think it will be a closer game this time around. Barrier seems to be a different qb and the defense is playing better. However, PAM defense is playing at a higher level than the first meeting if there is a such thing lol. I just would like a backup plan if Alex is getting dropped for losses and we keep sending him up the gut. Otherwise i got PAM 38-21

  26. PAM is extremely talented and good. They deserve all the recognition they are getting. You have to give BH credit, they have righted their ship and have been playing very well these past 4-5 weeks. Comical game or not, they overcame a 14 pt deficit and a 10 pt deficit. This game should be sold out. Finally a game in the Beaumont area where fans from both schools and the Golden Triangle can attend.

  27. 1st yes please add a poll and Hill to Barbers in the subject 😁2nd I agree with the above, this isn’t going to be the game we saw earlier in the year. BH just got beat by Sterling LOL and was definitely in a funk of some sorts during that time. PAM has been solid throughout I can only hope that we have caught up enough now to play them better. Both teams know each other and have had mainly close games over the years. The only Garuntee is District 9 will win Region 3.

  28. Looks like the smallest Louisiana schools at the event did well against bigger Texas schools. Hicks (just over 100 students) beat Buna (about 400 students); Anacoco (about 200 students) beat Little Cypress-Mauriceville (about 1000 students); and Pleasant Hill (about 80 students) lost a 5 point game to Port Neches-Groves (about 1700 students). Those small schools are from Counties/Parishes along the border. Overall a great event for the kids and interest in the game.

  30. This! I am 100% in agreement! Early on…say the first 3 or 4 games, he was 1/2 a beat off or so, just enough to make some really bad reads or rush when he didn’t need too. Games, maybe 5-8, something happened. BH is right, he acted more like there was something nagging him, either physically or emotionally…he just wasn’t decisive. It was during the Ball game when I noticed something changing, and again in the Westbrook game. But last week against Anderson and last night against Weiss, he was a totally different player. It’s like all the baggage holding him back; sneaking into his head and clouding up the picture, evaporated! These two were by far, his best games of the season and he looks like a D1 player! Last game notwithstanding, it helps to have the Tripp Davis’, Keegan Morton’s, and the Anthony Bonnetts for yards after the catch they all get to help with Passing yardage stats! Way to go Barrier; way to shake the demons within!!! Way to go Eagles and prove the naysayers wrong and to make this old Eagle feel just a bit guilty for letting some doubt creep in! And last but not least, way to go Simper and staff for abandoning the perceived, let’s play to not lose mentality you showed in the first handful of games when you had a lead, late; and this now this new hunger to win and a new confidence that you can play with the best of them! AWESOME! Enjoy today, because this coming weekend is another “Everest!” — but, you can win it, you’ve proven that!

  33. You are entitled to your opinion as am I. If you believe PNG will continue to have issues moving the ball this week as well, then you haven’t seen PNG play much this season. Our coaches are pretty good at making the necessary adjustments. Same will hold true again this coming Friday. And those first three games of the year SOC has played were all close against better defensives than their last 10 games. They will struggle to score on our defense than their last cupcakes they have been playing against lately and who knows what will happen from there.

  34. Correct. It's not about capacity. It's about the willingness to host the game. Also, Lamar charges much more to rent their stadium. Lamar also doesn't provide adequate concessions or security that comes with that rental cost. At least that's how they used to be. May have changed their tune the last couple of years.

  40. Hoping for a WOS win in the rematch with LV. Congratulations to HH and the coaching staff and the job they have done this year (particularly drowning out the noise and sticking to what they know). They are yielding similar results as all the great coaches who came before them at WOS. A win against LV would put them in what I believe would be a favorite to make it to AT&T.

    Trump calls Tim W retarded

Retarded is a derogatory term. People use rhe word IDD, now. You all would've had a field day if Obama had used the term. You guys have such low expectations when it comes to Trump,. he is so unprofessional. What is your definition of retarded?
