I’m hoping they actually have the right guy this time. I was leaning with some of you that it looked more and more like a professional job. Hopefully we know the truth. I am going to post one thing here though in general. Reading this thread is almost as depressing as social media, on both sides. At least no one is celebrating a man’s murder here that I’ve seen. But those of you who are proclaiming it’s only the liberals or the Dems who do this need to expand your source of information or remove your head from the sand or your nether regions, as applicable. Specifically, I would direct your attention to the murder of Melissa Hortman, the speaker of Minnesota’s House of Representatives and her husband, both democrats (oh and their dog). The man indicted for their murder, is a self proclaimed evangelical Christian. He allegedly targeted them and other prominent democrats in Minnesota because of their politics. I didn’t read every single post in this thread so I apologize if this has already been mentioned. But these murders occurred less than 90 days ago. I did go back through this page and couldn’t find a thread dedicated to these senseless killings. I am very glad that I didn’t find one blaming Republicans and/or evangelical Christians for their deaths. Because that would be as dumb and/or unfair as blaming an entire party or segment of a part for Charlie’s death. We know next to nothing at this point other than a good man, husband and father was senselessly executed. And while I think a lot of many of you who post here, whether I agree or disagree with you, if you are one of those who rushes to get to a keyboard and politicize these tragedies, I hate to break it to you but YOU are part of the problem.

According to reports the shooters father is who turned him in. His father is in law enforcement. Both his parents are Republicans. This has to be tough on the parents. Particularly his dad. Just an example of being law abiding citizens who try and teach their children the best they can on right and wrong but still sometimes a kid goes wrong in a bad way. Sometimes it just doesn't make sense in some cases.

I don’t know anyone that CELEBRATED Treyvon Martin’s death. They just said his killer was innocent of murder. Huge difference.

A radical hard right Christian dude killed a Democrat representative and her husband just a couple of months ago. I personally don't think the two sides are equal in these situations, but both have some blame.

A teacher from goose creek ISD , Jennifer Courtemanche, was on X mocking Charlie Kirk and blaming him for getting killed. I hope the ISD hears about this. I don’t think someone celebrating a political assassination should be anywhere near kids. I took a screenshot, but it won’t let me upload the picture because it’s too big

No matter who wins this game, these are two teams that have made drastic improvements in their programs. Should be a good one but im leaning towards BC

That is true now but we have lost a few kids to y'all during the last several years and with good reason. I considered moving there myself when my boys were playing. I don't see GCM ever dropping back to 5A because that's where all the growth is. If anything I'd like to see GCCISD revert back to previous school lines and give GCM more kids so they have a better chance to compete. Then possibly move kids away from Sterling and towards Lee to keep Sterling 5AD1 and eventually bring Lee up to 5AD1 so we at least have 2 schools in the same district. Better it be the old Baytown rivalry.
