President Trump Marks Six Months in Office with Historic Successes The White House July 20, 2025 Today, President Donald J. Trump celebrates the most successful first six months in office for any President in modern American history. Same here. I made that statement then realized that they can't play 6-Man because of their enrollment. You can opt up, but not down. Hull-Daisetta opted up this past realignment to stay playing 11-Man football. They could have played 6-Man due to having 101 enrollment. They are 2A DII for football but 1A for all other sports. If SP continues to struggle getting football numbers on a consistent basis, then the suggestion to just drop football all together may be the best option. Just be a basketball/baseball school like several schools in our area are with those type numbers.

I've always said.. SP truly could have an athletics powerhouse if they took advantage of their proximity to PA to "offer a more quality education" to perhaps some PA kids that weren't quite up to speed for PAM athletics, but almost. I'm not saying it wouldn't be a more quality education anyway, just that perhaps SP's academic transfer standards are more conducive to a student that would rather have an Academic UIL or One Act Play state championship... as opposed to a football, basketball, or track state champion. And that's fine. Great, even. But if that's the route the district wants to go, stop pretending to be able to field a football team, create a schedule, and then fold. I honestly don't see why anyone still agrees to play SP in football. It seems that every year is a coinflip as to whether the game will happen. How's that productive? Just fold football. Let it be for P.E. classes and/or soccer and move on.

Maybe not fold football but at least drop to 6-Man. Burkeville and High Island did and they may not be successful on a yearly basis but they play out the schedule with no number issues.

I put parents at the top. For the teachers, it’s difficult, maybe next to impossible, to teach and not be able to discipline, and that reverts back to the parents……no help with the discipline. Then comes district mismanagement. Just my humble opinion.

I posted under KFDM thread on another forum, and my guess it was not popular...but, much smaller schools with less payroll and funding like Brookeland(87), Chester (88), East Chambers (84), Evadale(85), Hampshire Fannett (83), Hardin Jefferson (84)....Sabine Pass even got a 86......and Beaumont can't pull off a C........ and those are small schools, but Nederland, PNG and Vidor were in the 80's as well.... No one can convince me kids in Brookeland and Chester are smarter than kids from BISD. So, if it's not the kids, it's the teachers, administration or parents,,,,,,IMO

I am going to guess that many of those school officials are being paid handsomely…. to let a company run them?
