I believe he could win a state title this season or next and some will still want him fired.

Well, the Hawks are a brave, brave team who also opted up an entire classification to compete against school much larger than they are. I have a lot of respect for the Hawks and had this game penciled in as our toughest one this week.

It reminded me of the Deer Park game. I'm not sure what they were doing. Still don't know why they passed the ball at the 2 in the 1st half when 26 was getting around 3-4 yards a carry.

All 15 games were district games. These two have never played a non-district game.

I get it. We played with an offense where I didn't even recognize the players. Except for the QB most all the skill guys are out. It is amazing how many injuries BH has had the past 2 years. Beyond crazy. So BH fumbles twice in first 90 seconds. Recovered both but killed the drive. Not a great start. BH is behind 13-3 but is gifted with the ball on the 2 right before half. One play to get a crucial score. No recievers available, no passing game working, so instead sending our big QB plowing ahead into the endzone...we pass for yet another incompletion. Fail. Our big QB had daylight to run into. He would have made it. A golden opportunity lost. Second half BH D plays well and O gets going with the O-line paving the way. BH claws back and has enough but limited time to make a winning drive at the end. First set, our QB runs right and could easily pick up 1st down, but decides to hook slide again way too early. He is one of the most physical players on the team but plays like he is a fragile item in bubble wrap. You cannot play like this especially in crunch time of a crunch game. If the idea is to keep him from taking any hits, what are we saving him for at this point? BH implodes at the 2 again as time expires to end the game. Another golden opportunity lost. Even with BH decimated with injuries, this game was entirely winnable. We are now 1-2 in district, 5th place, with Ball still ahead. Yes, some starters might come back, but probably thats too little too late. At best we are locked into 4th place with a bad path ahead. Might even lose to WB and miss playoffs. I dunno. The larger question is, can our QB ever play wide open and lay it all out to win? Clearly he is not the best passer, he is wildly inaccurate at times, so why not play directly to his strength? He could be a LOAD to bring down if he would just run wide open. If that would have happened tonight, we win.

Nice win for the Bulldogs 5-1 and 3-0. Coach Rich and staff have players improving They are going to have a very difficult time vs the last 4 opponents due to these areas that must be cleaned up way way too many penalties especially personal fouls. Kickoff team and punting teams are probably the weakest areas on the team. Defensive secondary and LB’ers are struggling (no way should you have given up 28 to WF) The offense is getting better, and must continue to improve in passing game Hoping they can improve in all areas and make the playoffs. Just 1 more win could get them in. Go Nederland

No dog in this hunt. However, head coaches/AD’s can hire/reassign coaches. easy to knock em yet they will spend around 70+ hours each week in practice games and class. They will come up with a plan and attempt to execute it. The problem is football is a zero sum game. Half win half lose. Look past that are the kids playing hard and both look organized and line up correctly. Easy to criticize those in the arena.

Second round would be Weiss or College Station. Not a good draw.

Herein lies the problem. And it’s just as bad on the football forum as the poli forum.

Prayer to your running back. That kid was a beast. It was a scary moment. it was a tough hard fight for both teams.

Sounds like OF had some early, and CS late. I heard some chatter earlier that concerned me that some were thinking this game was going to be a breeze. Very fortunate to win this one. Coldspring is definitely a team that could win out in this district if they clean up some mistakes.

If you think we need to be heavy handed, then I'll talk to the boss man. Just thought the adults (?) down there could behave better. One things for sure, this election has brought out the worst in everyone and not the best. Pretty sad.
