Hopefully he will hire a very good staff and start getting the Bulldogs back to n track. I know when I visited with Neumann shortly after he got the job, he was extremely excited on how hard the kids worked. Is course Neumann had some very good assistants like Spell and Pate Hire good people, sell the program and the players will work Best wishes to the new staff

Hoping for a new DC and OC, I will say as a former player that some of those coaches deserve to stay. They really do give a crap about the program and the kids. I don’t even think Nederland can afford to clean house.

According to the articles I've read this guy hasn't even seen the athletic facilities he will be working in. I hope he isn't expecting much because if he is he will be very disappointed.

Actually Owen’s was a DC under RT…. Steve was the OC…. Newman applied for the HC job at TJ when Owen’s left. Marler got the job….I believe Neuman was DC for Owen’s…. Slept since then.

Ware was hired as HC and to be promoted to AD when Nations retired. Word on the street he has retired so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't hire an AD/HC for the job opening. Dayton isn't that rich although some EXXON money is starting to roll in. I have no inside info haven't lived there for 10 years and getting ready to retire in the middle of the woods west of Centerville- always a Bronco !.

Hope that coach Rich can turn things around at Nederland. The only things I have heard about him is that he played for Dodge and a Nederland board member and he played together I don’t know how the guy from DeSoto would have been, but very thankful they didn’t pick guy from Lumberton I have not heard anything good about him ever Anyway good luck to Coach Rich

First off, I don't live in Nederland and never have. Second, I played many games there and coached some games there. The new renovations they are making are the first they have made since even before I played there in the 80's. They are way behind times and they are just now trying to update things. But with the lack of revenue and citizens afraid of their taxes going up. It's hard to get a bond to pass to do the upgrades that are definitely needed. It was a shock to see the bond that did pass to get the renovations done that they have. I know a lot of people that live in Nederland and wish they could get the upgrades that are needed and not just patching up schools to make it look like they have. I'm just saying, if this coach sees that he can't get what he ask for he won't be there long.

I heard as long as your over .500 against PN-g you can get extensions on the 7 years.

This is how you can tell a person does not know football. They lost a damn good lineman in the Lee game and struggled to run the ball the last 3 games. And with that, the whole Oline returns, the front 4 and LB's return. And your favorite qb(you cried to put the back up in the whole season). Plus, all 3 rb's return. You don't know how to watch football and it's not your fault. You went to Lincoln where the band was as great as the football team was bad. And in all these years of watching football, you ain't learned nothing. Just sad. So, do like you say and stop going to the games. You can save on gas

I heard this was the UIL punishment for using a home town ref during the state championship game.

I’m not positive on the exact number on starters returning for Bellville.. should be something like 7 on offense and 6 on defense… Good freshman and JV teams last year will help fill in the holes and reload for what should be another run a state.
