Lcm will win district next year. With the coaching staff and the younger kids that have been starting developing more over the offseason I can’t see anyone else in the district taking it from them. L train is losing their entire roster, and vidor will never be good again since their head coach left.

I came away last night very impressed with Beaumont West Brook basketball team but was also very disappointed in Port Arthur Memorial. My friend and HOF'er Andre Boutte has got himself a squad this year. They will be a force in 6A Region III. Memorial is definitely not the #10 team in 5A. They had no chance in last night's game. Titans have lot's to work on to be a contender in district play.

Ditto, Mike. The only thing not mentioned was our ball boy out for 2 weeks with a dislocated nostril, assistant trainer on IR with IBS and equipment manager on the PUP list.

I understand that in high school football, some years you get a stronger talent pool than other years The concerns I have the past 2 years are based on the leadership 1. I see a total lack of discipline. In fact I would think that they lead the district in penalties, especially personal fouls 2. The fundamentals are just poor. This shows me that the majority of the coaches are not teaching fundamentals and technique well. Examples- the offense averaged 7 points vs the good teams they played(offensive line was not coached well); the defense gave up an average of 39 points a game(they were slow, did not tackle well, and the secondary was non existent) 3. Way too much whining and complaining to the officials by the coaching staff In my opinion, if they Keep Barrow, he needs to hire assistant coaches that coach I know most of the players are trying, however as I have watched each game, probably due to how bad they have been these last 2 years, it just doesn’t appear that they are trying Finally, I am afraid if they keep the current staff, the results will be the same next year, maybe 5 or 6 wins(according to who will be in the district)

Well tonight is the best I’ve seen them play under the Brooks regime. Also the best crowd we’ve had in a while in a big win over UTSA. I don’t know if the Roadrunners are going to be very good or not, but it’s still a game we would have pissed away in the past couple of years. Hopefully a harbinger of things to come. We shall see.

Not ready to crown anyone yet but Brookeland reminds me of the 1A’s you see at the state tournament.

Who decides the “right reasons”? Like I said.. just NO across the board. If you think your school district can’t cover travel expenses, just forfeit your playoff spot and schedule schools within a whatever mile radius.

I think it’s a shame there isn’t a Cajun/Mardi Gras themed team around here. If png ever changes mascots, I’d want us to be the Cajuns with Mardi Gras colors for the uniforms. It would be a party

Watched the Hitchcock vs LRA game and Hitchcock was over hyped. Line play was horrible which I did state early in the year and was told I was crazy. They had no discipline at all. The qb and skill guys are great players. The qb was running for his life all night long and made poor decisions at times. Columbus can be beat just like everyone else but I'm not sure if Woodville will be the team to do it. History shows Woodville will stall out in this round. Good luck hope for an injury free game.

Negativity breeds negativity….those that do nothing but piss and moan, breed more of the same and it achieves absolutely zero except to make the community as a whole look bad, so congrats to all the complainers…what your doing seems to be working for me, I’ll say this, congrats Dogs on a season that was better than the last one….movement in a positive direction is what I hoped for this year and it’s what happened….sometimes things don’t line up perfectly for you, you don’t have the numbers, the best talent, or the health…you deal with adversity…adversity doesn’t build character, it reveals it!! These young men and this staff have persevered through it, despite adversity and frankly a lot of negativity from many in the community….hats off, those who handle it properly will be stronger for it…I hope those who were injured recover quickly, have a great off season, and look forward to a better 2024 season Go Dogs!!

I see that some of y’all like to stir the pot I work with Regina and she has shown up to summer workouts for the girls program. Also, someone on here is acting like they really know Regina and her family as they put details that seem to suggest that. Never mind that a detail or two are completely wrong. Trust me, when Regina does retire, everyone will know.
