I doubt this makes much difference in the offense. Even Barrow along with everyone else would have laughed a year ago if anyone said Jason Smith was a better OC then him or guys already on staff. Not sure he was the OC at Wbrook, was told by a couple Bruin insiders he was an asst, to the WR coach brought in to get the Ex Kelly D1 prospect QB to transfer to West Brook a year ago. Bruins went 1-9 last year so maybe a change in scenery at Ned improves the offense & the win totals this year.

But will he be calling the plays though? I've seen ppl be labeled as OC but the HC was calling the plays 🤷🏾‍♂️

"Calling plays" and "bringing your own playbook" are drastically different. I indicated that the instances where it happens are when the new OC is bringing a skillset that correlates to the progression of what they "are doing" or "want to do". I have seen some cases of defensive minded HC that wants to focus primarily on defense without sinking too far into the offense and as a result gives the OC more latitude. Even in that case the HC will select an OC that runs the offense that fits what he wants for the team. The more common scenario is the OC calls the plays within the offense that the HC chooses.

I believe that is revisionist history. The 13th, 14th and 15th amendments were all passed within 4 years after the Civil War with the intent to grant the freedom from slavery, citizenship and the right to vote for former slaves. I don’t think they randomly and right in the middle of the amendments, tossed in a citizenship right to unknown people who weren’t here yet. In fact immigration and the fleeing to the US was done without any guarantee of citizenship. Those three amendments were about righting the wrongs from slavery, not luring people to America.

Barrows is one of the better offensive minded play callers in the area, he’s called many many gems. He’s still going to be calling the offensive plays. IMO Coach Smith will now be able to help Barrows on the offensive side and they can put their heads together for a better game plan, while Monte can move his focus to the overall team O,D, ST. From what’s been told Coach Smith has came in and hit the ground running got with all the offensive players, coaches, and even getting the middle school coaches. Let’s give it some time and see how things play out, could be a big jolt in the right direction to get the dogs back to their winning ways

Yes, very sad. Unfortunately the law cuts off at age 13 for mandatory life jacket wearing while underway. It should be changed to all must wear a jacket while underway. My father-in-law just reinforced this to my child, he's 73 and still wears his jacket when the boat is moving. Way to many people could be saved by this if it was mandatory for all, just like a seatbelt.

Great debut for Anderson! The pen has thrown 8.1 innings over two games and allowed 2 hits. If they’d been even decent this year the rangers would be 20 games over .500 right now. Hopefully they’re turning a corner. Some guys who’ve been struggling made good appearances the last two games. Hope they can build up some momentum

I have been reading this thread for a few days as an guest and alot of the comments got things right. Not sure of their sources but I have ties to people who work with the coach. I have been told by people who work there that he didn't leave "a couple times" like the article says. He was gone for hours at a time multiple days and nobody could find him. At least 2 weeks as far as they could count. Alot of good people were stuck picking up the slack while he was out slinging snow. I work at a plant and I know he was there at least 6 days in the middle of the school day. One source says the ice machine near the coach's office was strangely low on ice during those days. Don't know many places where you can work but you can leave your job while still getting paid and go do a side hustle for large portions of the work day. No problem with teachers and coaches having a side gig, Lord knows they don't get paid much anyways. But we want teachers to be accountable, so coaches and especially their leader should be held accountable too. Just my two cents, but if this was about wins and losses I think they would have made a decision earlier. Whoever does take the job will have a good group of assistants. Hope he lets them stay on.

I miss my friend. More than once I’ve picked up the phone to text him and had to put it back down. Jimmy was an incredible human being. I’m happy he’s back with the love of his life though. As you know, he was lost those last couple of months without her.
