Week 3 when I saw this team live I knew they made the right choice with the hire. Didn't imagine they had this in em the 1st year. All of SETX, GT, whatever these guys want to call it. We are all hoping to have PNG bring another state championship trophy back down 45 next week. Go finish this amazing season.

PNG has not had an easy path. LBJ was 10th FBM was 2nd Liberty Hill was 3rd. not to mention how many ranked teams FBM and LH knocked off this playoff run. PNG is playing solid, well coached, well executed football. I could not be prouder of PNG.

I truly believe if we had this coaching staff through the RJ years. We would have been to STATE those years.

I asked a buddy last night after the game what changed and he said, man we had a guy come in and he basically learned the kids. He put them where they needed to be. We also got in the weight room and they worked their butts off. He also said, there has been sightings at the Wheelhouse that Coach Joseph is a regular guy. He brought the old PNG style of football back to PNG.

No reason to doubt now. Might as well go ahead and beat SOC.

Defense wins Championships. Been saying it for more than 12 years

This team is special, in ways I won't elaborate on in a public forum, although some of it was in the news media. I'm proud of this team, and I think that they will shock people again next Friday and defeat SOC.

PNG is a perfect "real-time" example of what happens when a Coach implements an effective scheme game plan, combined with a group of players who buy in and commit to executing what they have been coached. PNG has progressed every week throughout the year and has become a completely different team than what started in August. PNG coaches put a plan together for each week and the PNG players embrace and execute the game plan each week regardless of who the opponent is and what the narrative may be. PNG are definitely a team that is easy to pull for.

Nederland and PNG generally have the same type athletes. Not a lot of D1 guys walking the halls of either school. It’s all about system and culture for both schools. That’s coaching.

You'll see folks from all over the GT.

I guarantee there will be Nederland fans that go next week...it's not just Port Neches and Groves fans going

Never been prouder of a team than this one. All the talking heads didn't get them past the first round, much less the 3rd! Coach Joseph has done a remarkable job, but it's the kids that play the game.. and play THEY DID! These kids believe that they can beat any team and, so far... they have (Excluding PAM LOL). #PNGProud!!!

Yall had LH frustrated. Glad the refs kept it under control, thought it was gonna get chippy from LH side of things more so than it did. This was way less stressful for Png than Schertz Clemens game 23 yrs ago.

What a defensive showing. The offense was great, and tonight made clear the difference it makes to have so many weapons and to be so well-conditioned - the o line made massive holes for Nguyen. But to hold Liberty hill scoreless in the second half - you could see in their player’s composure as the game wore on and the clock kept ticking - they were shocked. They didn’t expect to not be able to move the ball at will like they usually do, and after that first big run it looked like it could be a long night for png. But that defense stepped up again in a huge way. What a game, what a coaching performance. What a team. If you had told me after game 1 when PAM took us to the woodshed that we would be playing at AT&T I’d have thought you were on drugs.

PNG about to party like it’s 1999🎉 Congrats to the Indians! There’s nothing like seeing your boys in Jerry World. It would make a huge statement around the state if y’all could win it.

I hope they keep the classifications split this way, as Iv stated before I always felt "robbed" when a solid GT team lost to the next years "6A" team. This would have been nice around 2011. Last team to state from the GT was Westbrook in that one point loss, finish the job PNG!

Some said in recent years PNG would never make it to State again due to demographics. I guess that was a blown call. Way to go PNG. You earned it.

Holding Liberty Hill to 14 pts, regardless of their running back situation is highly impressive. I figured PNG would score, but not stop LH. For Joseph and staff to change the mindset and culture of the team and program in one year is amazing. Holding a spread team with crazy athletes like FBM one week, and then best slot-T team in the state the next, is hard to do. Great effort by PNG. Any year the last 15 years, Liberty Hill woulda scored over 35 pts.

I think the region being questioned is 4 not 3. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes United got down in the 1st quarter 18 to 6 offense was off but this was by far best defense Performance for them on the season. Coach green is getting them rolling… United could very well be the best team in region 3 after seeing summer creek and Dickinson

You may want to get a hotel in Arlington and ride share to the stadium. Traffic gets pretty bad for the state games (people stay for all the games). I’ve attended the last several at AT&T.
