So when is getting a better job with better pay considered a bad thing?? Isn't that what anyone wants to do?? Would you want your boss letting you go simply because you applied for another job that was a step up? I sure wouldn't! Most districts I work with have zero issues with head coaches applying for other jobs thats the cost of doing business in a competitve market like TXHSFB Head Coaches...where the issues with most AD's and admin comes is when you get an interview and you dont communicate that up the chain...but simply applying is a non-issue... I guarantee you those admins who are pissed about Graham applying out are probably putting in apps to better paying jobs as well...their names just dont end up in the media Regardless of personal feelings LaPorte (and Jasper) are better jobs than Beaumont United, better pay, better facilities and a better setup in regards to vertical alignment.

I heard about the athletic period situation and not all the athletes on the team are able to attend, plus I heard the weight room situation is well below average at United, what are BISD head football coaches making now? I know a few years ago peevey was at 86k the year he went to the championship game,

Its money, its facilities, its alignment of the program, its teaching fields/loads for coordinators, its overall campus setup...so much goes into it...for example its tough to expect anyone to succeed at United when the kids are only going to athletics every other day..its like fighting w/one hand tied behind your back, especially in that district

Athletes on par with most in the state , but let’s be honest BISD doesn’t do what it takes to keep or attract great coaches… BISD made this a “stepping stone” job , while It should be a dream job. With the Athletes, history, recruiting location, etc, coaches should be knocking down the door but instead you got a school like 6A WB who went to State but the coach left for a 4A LCM, or back in 2009 When Coach Stowers took a Central team 4 rounds and had a team just as good coming back but left for a DFW job. . Think about those Stump coached WB teams, Is never been about the athletes, They’re going to be there, is everything else. So while I hate coach Graham did that, and is really bad for the kids, can you blame him??? Yea it might not be a bottom tier job as far as athleticism is concerned but unfortunately is more than that.

In this area we’re all to familiar with folks dying in enclosed areas, such as a tank. One goes down, another goes in to get him & he goes down. Then another. I used to wonder, why they don’t realize there’s no oxygen and get out? I finally found out about 10 years ago. In these scenarios, the air is filled with nitrogen. Nitrogen makes up 78% of the air we breathe. The killer is when the air is primarily nitrogen and you breathe it, your body doesn’t realize you’re not getting good air - until it’s to late, so these folks go in and assume everything is okay. You’re not gasping for air, your body thinks you’re getting it, so the bodies pile up. So if you ever see someone down in an enclosed area, think twice before rushing to the rescue. Hard as it may be, wait until the atmosphere is confirmed safe. That’s my safety tip of the day.

Heck of a season! I must say. The ladies exceeded my expectations since they started off slow. Wouldn’t have them in the regional tournament. Our seniors will be missed. This is the first batch of seniors that went through all 4 years in the program. Way to pave the way for our new group! Been a fun year.

Its absolutely vindictive if thats the only reason why.....if Graham had an interview and didnt inform his boss of such then at that point I can understand a reassignment based on the lack of communication..but simply applying for other jobs? No way that's bad business IMO...but lets face it right now Beaumont ISD isn't a geat place to work if you are a HFC, so seeing their HC's apply for other jobs shouldn't be a shock

I don’t get all the hate on Abbott but maybe that’s me. Overall, I think he’s done an admirable job and truly believe he’s a good man. In politics, that’s about the best we can hope for it seems. Sad but true.

Freddie Mercury is the best front man, ever, in my opinion. I had the kids watching Queen live from Montreal about 6 years ago... they were so put off by his prancing around and mannerisms, but had to admit that he was the best vocalist that they'd heard. I don't understand how people are saying he bailed on Paetow because they're going to 6A when he's... going to another 6A school? I understand the “old” politics. More money for welfare services for Dems vs less from GOP perspective. In the same reasoning, less money for military or things like space exploration. Tax the rich….. More pro union….. The Affordable Care Act/Obamacare which made healthcare only affordable if you’re on public assistance……. Basically the sides argued in how much money to spend and where. But then we go to what I can’t figure out. It seems like Democrats somewhere got together in a smoke filled room and after a discussion said, the Republicans are probably adamantly against this so we will say it’s a good thing! Next up… defund the police. It will probably have little or no impact in the more middle class and affluent communities and might lead to a major increase in crime and deaths in the minority communities but hey, the Republicans are against it so we will say it’s a great thing! How about an abortion up to the point of birth like proposed in Virginia where a woman could be delivering a full term healthy baby and just as the child is about to be delivered, the doctor is allowed to kill it after its head is out but not the full body because the mother decided yesterday that she is mad at the father. Sounds like the GOP would be against that so let’s support it! A person cannot decide to buy alcohol until 21. Tobacco or vote until 18. But…. if a 10-year-old want to change his or her sex against their parents’ wishes, that seems OK because Republicans probably will definitely oppose it. I know, on taking office I will immediately close 93 million acres of drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and shut off pipelines to shut down a major portion of our oil industry so it will push us toward Trillions of dollars in more taxes in the Green New Deal. That way it will turn over our energy needs to countries that hate us! That way gasoline will double (and soon to triple) in price which will be destructive on minorities but the Republicans are probably against it so…… Let’s have a multicultural center at a university with taxpayer money but exclude 2/3s of the population because they are the wrong color. Let’s have…… The list could go on but there just seems like there are issues that about 95% of the public should agree on but for the theory of political opposition, right now we are going through strange times where one side has determined that if the other side doesn’t like it, will support it no matter how wrong, unfair or deviant it is. Some things should be wrong no matter which side of the aisle a person is on. In the current woke and cancel culture climate, the more strange or deviant it appears, the more they will support it because it bothers the other side. Now, I don’t think that the people that consider themselves Democrats or liberals support most of what is happening and many are likely just as disgusted as the conservatives but they aren’t being listened to or are being silent so as not to oppose “their side”.
