Congrats to WOS and LCM. Two teams in the same city making 4 rounds deep!

  2. China Spring got us (WO-S) early. On our first drive, they blocked a punt and scooped it up for a quick TD. On the next drive we forced them to punt and dropped the return around the 10 yard line. CS's offense takes it in for another TD. Just like that WO-S dug a 14-0 hole in the 1st quarter. CS's QB was smooth running their offense. Abdullah was a tough RB to stop. Their offense was excellent at running their tempo. It was obvious to me from the first series of the game WO-S was out of sync because of several missing starters especially on offense. CS was an excellent team, but if we would have been 100% healthy I liked our chances to win this game though only by a small margin. We would have no doubt scored more than 22. This year's CS team is loaded with seniors and better than last year. WO-S has to play mustake-free football to win this one.

  3. I just wanted to acknowledge your hard work. The setxsports community took a big hit with losing Todd and those are big shoes to fill. He worked so hard but I can't help but notice the extra workload you have taken on. Appreciate Ya'

  4. Great season PNG. You finish 3rd in the district and still play until Thanksgiving. That’s salty no matter how you slice it but I think it’s especially good for y’all this year considering how bleak it looked for the Indians at different times this year.

  7. Congratulations to our brothers and sisters from across the River. You have my 100% loyalty and support all the way to State. You make this district proud and you are the class of the district. Great win last night and I am your biggest non-Crosby fan from here on out. I will wear my Houston Rockets red hat until your season ends each day in support of you. Go Crosby and 12-5A.

  9. Totally hate it when my team beats a previously unbeaten, state ranked team by 20 in the 3rd round of the playoffs. Completely feel your pain 🙄

  10. Nice season for PNG. Maybe we will meet again next year, but most think we will go back to Region II. Tigers fight for another day. Looks like a rematch with Crosby.

  13. tha Bears take this one. The truth comes out that LCM and Chapel Hill were the best teams in their district , regardless of standings. With Peevey being the new coach he is still doing some fine tuning and the Bears will only improve

  14. Appreciate it Prep, had a good time at y’all’s games. We’ll clean up those boys from Texarkana for y’all next week too. They beat a couple of 12-5A teams and think that freshwater combo they got from Walmart can land these redfish. We’re about to show them what this “Salt Life” is all about though.

  16. Just for your information PNG played Dayton in the playoffs in 1931 for the very first meeting between the two teams. PNG lost 6-0. Thats how far back the Indians and the Broncos go......

  17. Always appreciate the love we get from our Purple brothers. Seems like there has always been a special bond between PNG and Dayton. Seems like we both are similar tradition rich schools.

  18. We dont always see eye to eye, but I would personally like to thank you for your support through the playoffs. You have been a good fan to the Indians since the playoffs began and it hasnt gone unnoticed by me. Thanks again and I will be cheering Crosby all the way. Go Cougs!

  27. El Campo offense gave me Les Miles flashbacks, half back toss all night.😂 Congrats Bears!! Y'all played great in every phase of the game tonight, and playing great football at the right time. Keep putting the state on notice and let them know 10-4A was a dawg eat dawg district and go eat another one of those dogs out of Kilgore or Chapel Hill! It sucks that I decided not to go tonight, but my mental health has been horrible since I lost my mom on the 12th, maybe next week tho! 👀

  29. El Campo dominated a weak district but they did beat Lindale so 🤷‍♂️ maybe they’re just having a bad day. I figured they would split #4 out wide and throw him some deep jump balls. I’m surprised by LCM though, they are playing great and looking like the far superior football team.

Thank you for those very kind words. I really appreciate it. I will never ever fill Todd's shoes but I am doing the best I can. I really really miss my dear friend in so many ways and it partly is about this site. He was a true genuine friend. Site is just not the same without him.

    LCM vs Chapel Hill

C-hill’s QB is not very accurate throwing the ball. Shut down his runs an Bears win. LCM’s QB is accurate throwing and can run it. LCM will win this game. Go Bears!

  36. Congratulations Cougars, i too was expecting a little more breathing room in the score but I based it on watching the second half of the Barbers Hill game. A M has good coaching which will make such a big difference during nut cutting time. Crosby seems to be slowly entering the likes Katy, Aledo and North shore consistency which leads to championship possibilities. I saw where Katy and North shore were constantly scrutinized on social media that they were going to be taken down because this or that by the new kids in town but they do what they do AGAIN. Also with Crosby the brutal non district schedule and brutal district schedule is paying dividends Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpens iron👍🏻✝️🐻

  37. Excellent review of last years game. "To be the man... you gotta beat the man." And they just beat the University of Carthage. So they are the man for now.

  38. For those that have been following: (Please continue to pray and give the glory and success of Ben’s condition to God) 11/14/2021 What a beautiful sunny Sunday in Texas. Ben’s 24th floor room and windows look out over NRG stadium and the iconic Astrodome. Today is Ben’s 46th day at Texas Children’s and he is slowly improving. We have come a long way in 46 days. Ben’s multi-system organ failure had him as close to death without touching it as one can be. Drs have shared that upon arrival, if Ben’s condition was a medical test question, the answer would have been one sentence, “not compatible with sustaining life.” Ben has outlasted the ECMO, ventilators, 10 plus surgeries, reduced IVs from 20+ down to 4-5, chest tubes/drains reduced from 8 to 1. And today he is alert, awake and last night had 4 phone calls with friends. 4 Weeks in an ICU bed without movement zaps ALL your strength. After starting and stopping and starting Phys Therapy (PT) over the last two weeks, Ben is already recovering a lot of strength and is progressing. In spite of hundreds of tests looking for the origin of Ben’s illness, it has not and probably will never be determined. Tissue samples were sent all over the country to specialists and yet no identification has occurred. Many, many diseases and viruses were ruled out, including that the origin did NOT have anything to do with COVID or the associated vaccines. Likely what strange bug that sent his immune response into overdrive was killed in the first 10 days of his illness, leaving his exaggerated immune response to continue. Drs see Ben’s originating disease as a one in a million+ chance of happening. Whatever it was (viral, bacterial, food borne, toxic algae, or tick bite) does not change how he is being treated at this point. Albeit, it would be nice to have some disease name to be pissed at. As you know, Ben’s legs were amputated just above the knees two weeks agosto result of prolonged profound shock and compartment syndrome. A decision not easily come to, but one at the time necessary to save his life. He is progressing well and Rehabilitation Drs have already been consulted to get Ben back up and running when he is well, including temporary prosthetics as soon as he is strong enough. Challenges remain that keep him in very serious condition, such as antibiotic resistant infections, and getting his stomach/intestines back working. This is a very delicate thing when a gut has not worked for over a month. Getting the gut working is key to getting the rest of his organs ( liver, kidneys) functioning normally. This is a priority, but a very slow process! As Cardiac Surgeon Hickey told us early on, this will not be a day to day thing, it’s a week to week thing. He was so right, two steps forward, one back. And this journey will take a long time. Although Ben has fought the ICU delirium, he is much better. His speech has gotten stronger the last week. Ben remains in very serious condition, but everyday he gets a little stronger. Ben smiles, jokes and is dealing with losing his lower legs bravely. He recognizes the instant battle he is in and the longer term battle ahead. Our hope and unrealistic expectations for recovery are fast, but in reality this will take a while (general healing and then rehabilitation). Week to week, Ben has made incredible progress, some people here and in Beaumont, call it a miracle. They are right! Ben recognizes he must keep up the fight with a goal of being back at UT and scuba diving this time next year! Sometimes that is hard when you see how sick he is, but he never wavers when asked to make an effort to get better. Lastly, Ben’s strength and ours is derived from you, our beloved friends, family, Drs and nurses, that fight for Ben every day. Prayers work with God’s actions through these Drs and nurses hands. Last night Ben had 4 phone calls and talked with his buddies about food, College, football, and he also told his awesome buddies “I love you.” Something, weeks ago, we worried he would never do again. Now he is sitting on the side of the bed with help and working to get stronger. And he told the Orthopedic Surgeon (when she told him his stumps looked very healthy) “ then get me a wheel chair and roll me out of here.” As I write this the roller coaster continues, his infection attempts to make him more sick and his fever spikes. We don’t panic any more, we just deal with it. But compared to 4 weeks ago (relating to his favorite toy as a kid, character Buzz Lightyear”) we are light years from where were! Ben’s body continues to heal and he continues to be strong. Your love, care outreach, gifts have supplied us with incredible energy and continue to help Ben heal. As one of his Orthopedic Drs told him “ You are going to have incredible story to tell some day!” “To infinity and beyond!” Thank you and Love to All from the Featherstons

  39. I don’t keep up with this stuff like some do, but this sounds record breaking. I’m not even sure how many were upsets & how many played out as everyone thought. Aledo & Carthage alone boggles the mind. Just a quick “what if”, Someone tells you he’ll bet everything you own that both Aledo & Carthage would lose, and if either Team won you’d win the bet. Personally, I’d be homeless today. 😳😵‍💫🥴

  41. People keep tip toeing around it but what I saw today was Aledo get outcoached. Yeah, SOC’s athletes looked twice as good as Aledo’s but they mash teams like that by 40 on a regular basis. Jason Todd is a Reginald Samples disciple and SOC looked like Skyline-lite today. SOC’s talent level vs the rest of the 7 teams left in the 5A-D2 playoffs is unreal.
