Lose to #1 team in state and run the coach off. Carthage had nothng to do with any of it. You think you can coach better, go apply for the job. I promise you its not as easy as you think sitting in the stands.4 points

Well...after a full week to look at all angles. I am going with strength of schedule between these two. PNG has played in a Gauntlet of a District and all 4 are still standing. I think there is a good chance all 4 are still standing after this week! Going with my Indians who are peaking at the right time on both sides of the ball! Indians on top and move on!! Good luck to Crosby, BH and Texas City3 points -

I respect your opinion but regardless of the excuses Vidors offense is designed to eat up clock and wear you down. At that point in the game their defense was worn out. Vidors summer conditioning program was designed to get them to that position in a game an take advantage of their fatigue. Instead we let them off the hook. Vidor will literally go 2 or 3 games without making one pass. IMO you stick to what got there. Everyone stay with their block an pound the rock. I’ve seen a Vidor game this year where 3 passes were made an 2 of them were intercepted. Sorry but 4 passes in row on your own 25 yard with 2:00 left on the clock makes no sense. You can’t lean on something you rarely do with the game on the line. An no I will not be applying for any coaches positions because I like weekends off during football season. Lol. Hoping for a Speedy recovery for Coach Matthews.2 points -

Lol. How many turnovers would a backup have had? I promise you HF wouldn’t have scored. There have been a grand total of two teams score more than 14 points on Carthage this year, and one of them played in the 5A state championship game last season, and has a reasonable chance to get there again this year. You guys are killing me expecting HF to put up 35 or something and not turn the ball over against the best defense in the state. HF could’ve easily lost 3 district games. Y’all are acting like they’re WOS all of a sudden and should be competing in this one somehow.2 points

Last time I talked to stattrax I told him what I thought about Dave Campbell picking us not to make the playoffs. He told me have you seen our team they are brutal, but yet here we are. It's anyone's game and Montgomery isn't a powerhouse. I don't judge how teams do against other teams. I don't care who scored what on who. If Crippen can eliminate the turnovers and throw dimes last week we have a shot. If Trahan has a huge game we got a shot. If we make some stops and create a turnover or two we got a shot. That's why we play the game. According to the Mecca aka Code red we don't have a shot. Let the doubters doubt and let the believers believe. I think we will have one hell of a ball game come Friday night.2 points

HF has a pretty good year and then gets soundly beaten by a team that has lost 1 game in five seasons, and people are on here blaming the coaches and Heckaman. Come on, man. This team probably doesn’t make the playoffs without heckaman (4th seed at best). And they’ve had this good season running the same few plays over and over. There wasn’t anything that could’ve been done to change the outcome of this game. It was decided before it started. It might could’ve been a hair closer. That’s about it.2 points

Good discussion/debate between Strattrax and Rockets. Good stuff. I love them all and I am thrilled they wore purple and white. Glad they are PN-G Indians. But...Richy Ethridge called and said, here, hold my beer, I want in this discussion. I'm the best of them all. Never lost to Nederland or Port Arthur Thomas Jefferson or Port Arthur Lincoln, and I have more playoff wins than several of the QBs combined. Before Richy grabbed his beer, he said, I played college ball and I need to get back to polishing my state championship trophy and ring. Go Indians. Peace.1 point

From the evidence that I saw, Martin attacked Zimmerman. There was no evidence brought that Zimmerman attacked Martin. The 911 recording which I believe is still on YouTube, tells all you need to know without further evidence to the contrary. There was none. of course with speculation we could make up all kinds of scenarios but there was no evidence to back any up. A person does not have to think anything good about George Zimmerman to realize that the original district attorney in the case was correct, there was no evidence of murder beyond a reasonable doubt that overcame self-defense. It took the state and a special prosecutor to come in and announce an indictment without calling a grand jury. In fact Angela Corey made a public statement that she would not bring the case to a grand jury when the actual district attorney of that county had announced that he would bring the case to the graduate the next week. Corey had to quickly move to indict on her word only (allowed in FL) because she knew that the grand jury would likely return a No Bill. Is Zimmerman a good guy and a hero? Not in the least on either count. There is no evidence that Zimmerman harassed or even confronted Martin though. You are allowed that speculation but that is all it is.1 point

Pirates we're able to move the ball all second half via the ground game. Burning 3 TO's and the last one with 3 minutes in the game when CH was punting on 4th down at THAT! Also throwing it 4 straight times deep in CH territory, that's something Mathews would have never done. But cmon man.. we could use the injury crutch all we want - but turds roll down hill, play calling was a bigger issue than injuries last Friday.1 point -

EAST CHAMBERS 33 LITTLE RIVER ACADEMY 42/Final
PlayActionPass reacted to AggiesAreWe for a topic
To me, the difference in this one was the couple of series right before the half. EC had just picked up a 1st and goal at the LRA 6 with under 2 minutes left in the half with the score tied 14-14. A run to the 4 out of the wildcat formation set up 2nd and goal. EC set up in wildcat again but tried to fool the Bee defense with a jump pass over the middle that was picked off in the endzone and returned to the 10. LRA had only 1 timeout left and 90 yards to get in endzone. They hit a 74 yard pass play that took them from their own 13 to the EC 13. 3 plays later they score and take a 21-14 lead into halftime. LRA got the ball to start the 3rd quarter and marched down and scored giving them a 28-14 lead that they never relinquished. This momentum swing was too much for EC to overcome.1 point -

HF played hard and had a great season. Their QB was a load to bring down. He even ran into Kip Lewis on one play and drove him backwards, That does not happen. Kip is one of the top linebackers in the state. The Dawg D held HF to 5 yards rushing and 120 yards passing. For those of you on here thinking HF coaches should of done anything different. This Dawg D is one of the best in 4A history. HF played their tails off and I congratulate them on a very good season.1 point

BISD lifts mask mandate

It's obvious that the vaccine won't keep you from catching Covid, and it won't keep you from transmitting it, either. It's also obvious that you can catch it multiple times. About the only positive thing that I can come up with is that apparently vaccinated people require hospitalization or die at a rate that is almost 100x lower than people who have not be vaccinated. Does that mean that it can still rip through a nursing home and kill 8 vaccinated elderlies? Yes, it can... but across the board people who have been vaccinated are doing better.1 point -
We met some kids to sell a four wheeler at Walmart in Liberty. They were out of Houston. There were two of us and three of them. The guy who "knew about four wheelers" took if four a spin around the parking lot, then the guy who was actually buying it was gonna take it for a spin. He hopped on, then stopped and handed his pistola to one of his friends for safekeeping. We were laughing because I'm pretty sure that everybody was armed. It's also kinda funny how people don't realize what you're doing tactically. There's a reason that I'm off to the side... and it's not social distancing, lol.1 point

I think the timing is right locally with the disease being all but eliminated in our area. I guess the real question is whether or not there will be another surge. My hope is that the disease will continue to mutate and lose its punch, so to speak. This last round was a lot worse as far as transmissions, but the rate of fatalities was actually lower than the first round. I hope that trend continues, because I think it's safe to say that it's not going completely away in the near future. I'm also convinced that the vaccines(s) aren't nearly as good as we'd all hoped. Big pharma is making too much money, and too much of it is going back to politicians. I'm not surprised that they're now looking at a third shot... there were four spots on my vax card, not just two.1 point -
Just an update, according to the Port Arthur News, Noah was expected to return home in December but he is doing well enough to return home this coming Sunday or Monday. He is having surgery Friday to replace the piece of skull that was removed to relieve the swelling pressure after the injury. After that, it looks like he will be home for Thanksgiving.1 point

I really struggle with how delusional the left has become in general. Don't get me wrong, there are some seriously delusional people on the right as well, but the ratio is skewed incredibly far to the left. All of the evidence, and there is a LOT of it, (including clear video of all shootings) points towards self-defense. Nearly all of the prosecution's witnesses are proving the case of self-defense. The prosecution is not following the law and disobeying judge's orders in an attempt to illegally sway the jury (or to put the weight of dismissal on the judge to avoid losing when the jury returns). And somehow, through all of this, the left has come not to the conclusion that Rittenhouse was defending himself, but that the judge is a biased, neo-nazi, unfair cheater? Some of the news articles and social media comments I've been reading are mind blowing.1 point
